3.5 / 5.0 - Kao the Kangaroo
May 27, 2022

Kao the Kangaroo is a fun jump through memory lane that delivers an enjoyable (albeit slightly repetative) experience in classic arcade 3D platforming fashion. However the character, graphics and worlds lends itself

Arise: A Simple Story is a fantastic indie game from Piccolo Studio's, demonstrating incredible talent. The platforming is fun and engaging, allowing anyone to dive right in without too high of a skill gap. Each world is wonderful and vibrant, with each offering a unique and interesting platforming puzzle to make every level stand out in its own way. If you're a fan of games like Journey or Last Day of June, this game will definitely scratch that itch.

3.8 / 5.0 - Paradise Killer
May 5, 2022

All in all, Paradise Killer offers a highly unique experience with interesting characters and a heavily detailed mystery to follow. However, its needlessly convoluted story and writing may deter some players from diving in.

3.8 / 5.0 - Road 96
May 5, 2022

Though the presentation could have used one more coat of paint, it doesn't prevent the game's core from shining brightly. Posing difficult and meaningful questions, Road 96 makes the player feel like every decision made has its consequences. And with such a vibrant and sympathetic cast of characters, you will want to ensure all of them get the ending they deserve. This is a story with heart, passion, and is a game for the dreamers who wish for a better tomorrow.

A motion control party game that's best in couch co-op, but doesn't possess the same revolutionary novelty as its predecessor.

4.3 / 5.0 - Trek to Yomi
May 5, 2022

Trek to Yomi is Flying Wild Hog's best game. Unlike Shadow Warrior 3, the studio's first title in 2022 that was a huge step backward, Trek to Yomi is aimed at a niche audience. It's short, violent, and poetic. The one-hit kill Kensei mode that's unlocked after finishing the game for the first time also adds more replay value for the game while creating the potential for attracting hardcore gamers and speedrunners. The game can be enjoyed by many, but a very small group of people will hold on to it for a very long time. That's why Trek to Yomi has the chance to become a cult title.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers edition brings a classic JRPG to the PAL region for the first time. The port may not be exceptional, but the game itself deserves to be experienced.

Should you buy it? Well if you like the idea of challenging your ethics with hypothetical scenarios then absolutely. If you are or were a philosophy student you may well get a sense of nostalgia and for me that is arguably enough of a reason to grab it. It's a decent price for what it is, if you aren't sure, maybe wait for a sale… but really for a chance to play something a bit more intellectual for a change I think it's a great buy!

4.6 / 5.0 - Green Hell VR
Apr 23, 2022

Ultimately Green Hell VR is a bit like a mature Minecraft that is set in a more realistic and dangerous jungle setting. It somehow feels a lot more important to make sure you are getting your food and rest in Green Hell VR though and the consequences of not building shelter and some survival tools certainly seems more dire when you are experiencing it in VR.

4.5 / 5.0 - Vox Machinae
Apr 23, 2022

If you like mech combat and the idea of piloting a massive metal fighting machine… grab a copy because it remains some of the best immersion I've had in VR to date and I suspect it might be for you too (certainly for new comers to VR… sit them down and put them in the pilot seat and wait for the Keanuesque "Whoa!"). Even if it's not on special it's a pretty good price for the fun you can have.

3.5 / 5.0 - Martha is Dead
Apr 23, 2022

All in all, Martha is Dead, despite struggling to hold my attention at times, is a well crafted game, with incredibly detailed visuals and models, an interesting cast of characters, and an unsettling but highly intriguing story to tell. If you're a fan of psychological thrillers and horrors, then Martha is Dead will undoubtedly be your cup of tea.

2.5 / 5.0 - Weird West

If the bugs are patched, Weird West has the potential to be a truly excellent game, as there is a lot of fun to be had in the West, you just sometimes have to make it yourself.

4.7 / 5.0 - Grand Theft Auto V
Apr 7, 2022

Overall the improvements to the GTA Online for next gen consoles is worth the price of admission especially as it can now be purchased separately from the main game. Also adding the ability to transfer characters will make the transition to the new gen a lot smoother for long time players who have accrued wealth and reputation.

Ultimately, if you like the Lego series of games then there's a high probability that you will like this… if you also like the Star Wars films (even just some of them) then this should be high on your list of items to purchase. It's certainly a cheaper way to enjoy a bunch of Lego sets with the ability to play through your favourite parts of the Star Wars films.

4.2 / 5.0 - MLB The Show 22
Apr 5, 2022

MLB The Show 22 again raises the bar in its visual and audio representation, with subtle realism upgrades that improve an already strong title. There's not a lot that's new here versus MLB 21, but it's sure to please Diamond Dynasty players also those wanting to see the art of the possible in 4K.
