Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero
Critic Reviews for Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero
Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero is a bright and breezy 2D beat 'em up that sees the side-scrolling series go out with a bang.
As the odd one in the bunch, Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero is impressively fun with its melee-focused combat even if it is a bit tedious.
Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero is a solid retro platformer. Despite its age, it still offers plenty of fun. While it may not be the best in the series, it’s a great starting point for newcomers. With all four games now available on the Nintendo Switch, it’s worth considering for your next retro game night, especially if you can share the experience with a friend.
Just like its predecessors, Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero is a cool game to get to know, but it hardly lasts and ends up fighting for the spotlight with modern games with the same concept.

Cyber Citizen Shockman Zero is a fun trip to the ‘90s with its beat ‘em up gameplay and rockin’ soundtrack. It’s well worth the price if you’re a fan of the Super Nintendo days.
Still, the game is great fun for an afternoon romp, and playing with a friend makes it even better. Sure, you might not have much in terms of in-game options, but what you do get here is a very enjoyable brawler, ending the legacy of a fun, underrated Masaya series. Just don’t expect to remember much about it after you finish it.
