I think the main problem with Monster Jam Steel Titans 2 as a whole, is it doesn't know what it wants to be. It gets stuck somewhere in between wanting to be an arcade style racer, and a Monster Truck Sim, and because of this, it fails in both categories, and leaves no one happy. Skip this one.

Frontier Developments have outdone themselves with the inclusion of eight new animals in the Southeast Asia Animal Pack DLC for Planet Zoo. There’s a nice variety to the lineup of new animals and the fact that seven of these animals are fully-animated habitat species is quite impressive. As always, I would have really appreciated some more story-based campaign challenges, but the fact that these keep getting neglected in the DLC releases makes me think I’m out of step with what the rest of the community wants from the game. Regardless, the Southeast Asia Animal Pack is a must-buy for Planet Zoo fans, simply because it includes the most gorgeously hideous animal in existence, the Proboscis Monkey.

3.8 / 5.0 - Apex Legends

Do not buy the Champion Edition just yet because Nintendo's online community is um… well picky. This game might not have such a big community in a few months, and it is not progression so purchasing it on Switch is only for the Switch version.

3.9 / 5.0 - Pac-Man 99

On the Nintendo eShop you can buy cosmetic changes to the stage and backgrounds, but you can also unlock the 3 other modes. CPU Battle – Compete against 98 CPU players. Score Attack – Beat the high score. Blind Attack – Clear the stage before time runs out. Extra content but not worth it unless you really want those modes. Price depends on your region.

3.6 / 5.0 - Outriders
Apr 11, 2021

Overall, besides the fun powers and intriguing world-building, I have to admit that Outriders isn't anything special to me as it doesn't do much to differentiate itself from other titans of the looter shooter genre. However, if you like sick powers and loot, then Outriders was made for you.

4.2 / 5.0 - Samurai Shodown
Apr 9, 2021

Samurai Shodown on Xbox Series X is one for the fans or for those who enjoy games such as The King of Fighters or Metal Slug. While it doesn't offer next-gen glory on the XSX (e.g. all those bells and whistles of next-gen gaming), it does offer speed and gameplay that runs as 120 FPS that enhances the gameplay of this classic. For newcomers, controls are easy, however the gameplay might be a little tougher to master but nonetheless, it's a fun game and one that I'm sure fans will revisit many times.

Upon reaching Lost Word's conclusion, I wasn't quite sure who the game's intended audience was. Yes, it is through the eyes of a young girl, and the platforming is approachable for newer gamers, but the story hits unexpectedly hard, and the emotions on display might be too difficult to comprehend for younger children who have never lost a loved one. As an adult, I was quite invested in the story, but unfortunately, not at all in the gameplay. Putting aside the uninteresting platforming, Lost Words: Beyond the Page is a lovely coming of age story, and a beautiful recreation of what its like to feel lost, and ultimately find yourself again.

I'm not done with Starbase Spacetopia (or whatever it's called, I give up), I still want to nail the perfect base, especially now I've fully understood all the games systems, and for the most part, I'm having fun. On top of the campaign and free play mode there's a perfectly serviceable multiplayer mode too, albeit the current small player base means it takes a while to locate a game. Is it the pinnacle of base management strategy games? No, far from it in fact, but it's a more than serviceable space station sim that satisfies the itch for galactic domination.

Like the PS4 version, Crash Bandicoot 4 – It's About Time is a great platformer that is a gorgeous title and must buy for fans of the series. It does, however, feature extremely high difficulty hampered by not-perfect controls.

1.8 / 5.0 - Taxi Chaos
Mar 28, 2021

Overall for £30 ($40USD, $55AUD), Taxi Chaos is too limiting to really recommend picking at the minute. Even on sale I could not recommend it unless you are a mega fan of arcade taxi games. The framework is there for a good game and it unfortunately feels incomplete in its current state. If further additions are added later down the line then I will make a part two to this review.
