Diablo III Reaper of Souls boasts great graphics, sturdy gameplay and a very interesting story that will have both veterans and newcomers of Diablo III entertained and busy for months to come. With the possibility of reaching level 70 and the inclusion of fixes, tweaks and a new character, I for one cannot wait to get back into this game again because it's been far too long between drinks.

If you loved Mario Golf Advance World Tour on the GBA than Mario Golf World Tour is the evolutionally predecessor of this series that features sturdy gaming mechanics with plenty of Nintendo love thrown into the mix. Even if you don't like golf, the developers have created this really fun game that can actually be quite a challenge as you progress through Castle Club.

The Amazing Spiderman 2 may not do total justice to our hero, but the ride is a good comic book distraction.

In conclusion, Wolfenstein The New Order may not reach the heights of the original game but it does give gamers an old school first person shooter experience that works on many levels. The upgrade system of your character is a little limited and it would have been good if developers MachineGames fleshed this out some more but it's still worth investigating. Nonetheless if you want to play a first person shooter that doesn't take itself too seriously but still delivers a fun gaming experience than Wolfenstein The New Order is that title.

3.1 / 5.0 - Bound by Flame
May 21, 2014

Given the price of Bound by Flame, I believe that it is a little overpriced and tries to be a triple A title that unfortunately doesn't add anything new to this genre. From a gaming perspective it works but it needed some more game testing and probably a revamped skill system that makes you feel out of your depth. Nonetheless, I've seen far worse Western RPG's and thankfully Bound by Flame ticks most boxes.

It is clear that the developers put their entire heart in this game and wanted to make something fun. Personally, I feel they succeeded and highly recommend the game once it is released in the next few days. The game's price is an amazing deal and well worth it. To emphasize how fun it was, when I was previewing the game and the time was up I was surprised that it had already been over three hours when it had only felt like one. It is easy to lose track of time in the enjoyment of the game. And a game that is so fun you lose track of time is a good game indeed.

5 / 5.0 - Mario Kart 8
Jun 11, 2014

I have to admit that this is arguably the best game on Wii U. Mario Kart 8 brings all the frustrating fun and friendly chaos that has been expected from the series, but this iteration is much more refined and well-toned. The controls feel really great, no matter what configuration you use. If there is any reason to buy a Wii U, let Mario Kart 8 be it.

4.2 / 5.0 - EA Sports UFC
Jun 24, 2014

In conclusion, EA Canada should be commended on creating a sturdy fighting title that replicates the world of the MMA well. With the inclusion of real world fighters, amazingly detailed graphics and a decent gaming engine, MMA is fun fighter that definitely takes realism to a new level. More importantly, the game feels like a nextgen title on the PlayStation 4 and thankfully the controls are quite responsive and not as clunky as some other titles.

It won't light the gaming world on fire, but it's still a good way to spend a few hours when looking for something relaxing to play.

4.1 / 5.0 - WildStar
Jun 29, 2014

In summary, Wildstar is an enjoyable game with its ups and downs.  It isn't breaking new ground, but it is taking existing ground and moving it in fun and unique ways.  If you go in wanting a fun MMO, this will serve its purpose.  If you go in wishing for something that replaces every other MMO out there, well, you'll always be looking.  Nonetheless, the game is worth playing and it is worth a subscription.

It would be unfair to criticise The Western Front Armies for my own shortcomings. But having comfortably beaten hard AI, I don't feel wholly responsible. For whatever reason, multiplayer still seems to be won and lost (mostly the latter) in the first five minutes—and surviving only affords me the chance to watch my resources dwindle as the enemy grabs victory. The Western Front Armies deserves to be enjoyed, and I hope to master the game and make that possible. It's a punishing game, but if you have the talent—or a hell of a lot of patience—then it is a complex, varied, and enjoyable RTS experience.

Oddworld: New and Tasty is a painstakingly rebuilt example of how to breathe life back into beloved games. The game's satirical anti-capitalism message is still as relevant today and the dark and twisted humour and distinctive visual design serves to set the game apart from its contemporaries.

The Last of Us Remastered Edition deserves another perfect score on the PlayStation 4 thanks to the collected DLC and improved graphics that I thought could not be possible due to how amazing it looked on the PS3. Nonetheless for fans and newcomers, they will enjoy the story of Joel and Ellie as they explore this decimated world and get lost in the untold chapter of Ellie plus the multiplayer fun of Abandoned Territories with its rich textures, colours and silky smooth graphics. Gaming doesn't get any better than this!

3.5 / 5.0 - The Sims 4
Sep 9, 2014

As much as the series has evolved over the years, The Sims 4 has the least to offer with no real additions to the gameplay besides sims being more "expressive", though really that just means that there are more character animations than before. If you're looking for a nice graphical upgrade to the standard Sims gameplay and perhaps some promising expansion packs and custom content on the horizon, go for The Sims 4. If you've already got yourself The Sims 3 and any expansion packs for it then you've probably got more content and creative freedom than you'll find in The Sims 4. Personally, I would hold out on getting the game for an inevitable price drop.
