Chloe’s journey is strong and powerful, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for Uncharted and it’s characters.
While it can be an inconsistent journey in terms of gameplay and mechanics, the affordable price of $30 seems worth the price of admission for the numerous hours of content Kiwami is filled with.
Phantom Trigger, at least the Switch version, should’ve been delayed.
It’s a fun twist on both Pikmin and 2D platformers. Though not as strong as the main entries of the series, Hey! Pikmin is worthy of the Pikmin name.
Episode 1 has emerged from the gate strong and has set a pace and tone for the rest of the series.
Slime-san is a fantastic platformer that fits perfectly on the Nintendo Switch. While some puzzles weren’t that great and the challenge could get a bit much at times, I mostly had a smile on my face or one of determination throughout my entire playthrough.
For those who have never played Final Fantasy XII or fans of the original, or those who want to give it a second shot, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is certainly the way to go.
I could see this game being a great deal for what it is now for around $15, but you never know if they’ll drop the price or not.
Marvel Heroes Omega is an interesting game overall, giving players many characters to choose from as they play through an adventure spanning multiple areas and facing plenty well-known Marvel enemies. The controls are easy to pick up and although it can be a bit of a grind as you level up and collect loot, there are tons to sort through and it can be easy to get drawn in to the game for hours at a time.
I highly recommend you play Ever Oasis, and to keep your eye on Grezzo as they have crafted a superb title that grasped me in a way I haven’t been in a very long time. Stick through some of the issues, and you will find yourself a magical adventure well deserving of your time.
The “unboxing” mechanic breathes some life into the collectathon platformer and made it feel fresh.
Sadly, Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy: The Telltale Series Ep 2 “Under Pressure” was more disappointing than its predecessor. Although Telltale improved on some of the negative factors of the first game, they dropped the ball or did not improve in other areas.
As stated before, Perception has some great things going for it. There’s no doubt in my mind that The Deep End Games put so much passion into this project. It just falls flat due to the fact that it isn’t that good of a horror game.
While there are better JRPGs on the Vita, Tokyo Xanadu may fill that dry spell between major releases. Combat can be fun and going through dungeons is almost meditative in that it requires little energy. Trying it on harder difficulties may be the way to go for those looking for a tougher system to play with. Story wise though, there’s not much to celebrate.
I was very happy to play this title, and it felt right at home on the Nintendo Switch and being able to play on the go, and I can’t wait to see what this studio comes up with next.
Persona 5 takes the JRPG mold to create an intensely original, deep experience in its gameplay, presentation, and narrative. There are not many games that pull it off quite like Persona 5, marking it as a masterpiece title that will set a benchmark for years to come.
Everspace offers a lot for both rogue-like and space combat genre aficionados.
If you’re looking for an atmospheric, creepy game that will make you feel uncomfortably alone, then I recommend Little Nightmares.
ARMS is an excellent example of a mechanically excellent title, focusing mostly on the actual gameplay more than anything else.
I’ve played a lot of anime games through the years with varying degrees of enjoyment, but I don’t even think being a super fan of the Asterisk War franchise would entice me to play Phoenix Fiesta any more than I already have.
