Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster does enough to warrant its existence, ensuring the original experience remains gleefully intact with new quality-of-life improvements and a lavish visual upgrade in tow. It's maybe not quite as deluxe as it could be, but it remains as good as it always has been.

9.5 / 10.0 - The Plucky Squire
Sep 18, 2024

A wickedly creative romp through a basic storybook tale of good versus evil that ends up being anything but basic, The tale of Jot and his merry band of mates is one that you will easily enjoy - remembered long after that final page has been turned.

4 / 10.0 - Funko Fusion
Sep 16, 2024

Funko Fusion's biggest success is how well it matches the vibe of Funko's uber-popular line of vinyl figures as a whole – joyless, soulless representations of beloved franchises that capture almost none of the charm of the source material. The most culturally-relevant thing here might be the collectible KFC buckets.

9 / 10.0 - Wild Bastards

Taking everything learnt from Void Bastards, Wild Bastards is an inventive spiritual sequel, blending strategy and shooter perfectly within its space cowboy antics. It's a must play, no doubt.

5 / 10.0 - Evotinction

A slick visual presentation and serviceable if uneven action stealth can't elevate this mildly baffling mishmash of sci-fi tropes that suffers from a lack of atmosphere and identity

Despite an intriguing premise, The Casting of Frank Stone doesn't hit the heights of Supermassive Games' previous works thanks to a confusing story and some tension-sapping gameplay.

8 / 10.0 - Demon's Mirror
Sep 5, 2024

Taking the best parts of a card battler and classic 'match three' board busters, Demon's Mirror manages to create something familiar but still fiercely unique and unquantifiably vast.

7 / 10.0 - Sumerian Six
Sep 3, 2024

While frayed on more than a couple edges, Sumerian Six still manages to deliver a brilliant strategy experience that nails that oh-so endangered feeling of micro-managerial mayhem.

Emio – The Smiling Man has a rich, empathetic heart, there's just not enough of it. Solid character work and a decent setting can't get around the fact that the game isn't ever all that thrilling.

Mechanically speaking, Star Wars Outlaws isn't going to throw you into hyperspace, but, despite its lack of innovation, there is still plenty of fun to be had within its beautifully crafted worlds.

6.5 / 10.0 - The Crush House

6 / 10.0 - The Sacred Acorn
Aug 6, 2024

The Sacred Acorn does a lot of things right, an enjoyable hand-drawn world and some fun ideas within its squirrel-led adventure, but the fun is lost between a sea of familiarity and an ocean of awkwardness, leading to an okay journey that needed that extra spark to truly shine.
