8.5 / 10.0 - Evolve
Mar 20, 2015

With its balanced class-based, teamwork orientated gameplay, great graphics and slick mechanics that keep you playing into the wee hours of the night, Evolve itches that competitive urge and feels a lot more evolved that your standard, run-of-the-mill shooter.

A strategic hack 'n slash with an impressive upgrade system and welcome Nightmare mode, but it looks bland and combat often feels shallow.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is a pretty addictive and satisfying entry in the series, despite some noticeable shortcomings.

Although Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is more narratively ambitious than its prequel, something has been lost in the transition. The levels, while good for the most part, simply do not match up those seen in the original game. Nevertheless, Wrong Number still stands as an excellent closing act for the series all the same.

The best game in the DmC series looks fantastic on PS4. A great action game and one of the best re-releases of the past couple of years.

5.5 / 10.0 - White Night
Mar 10, 2015

While being in possession of some clever ideas, a good story and a superbly-realised black and white world, White Night doesn't do enough scares to be a good horror or have inventive enough puzzles to be a decent adventure.

7.5 / 10.0 - Zombie Army Trilogy
Mar 4, 2015

Love zombies, hate Nazis? Zombie Army Trilogy is an impressive three game package that needs to be played co-operatively to get the most out of it. It can be a bit of a slog, but good enemy variety and level variety keeps it challenging and fun.

Bolder than ever before, Olli Olli returns with new stages, tricks and a superb tutorial and practice system for folks who may have been dissuaded by the steep learning curve of the original. While no ground-breaking alterations have been made to last year's game, Olli Olli 2 still effortlessly proves itself as the finest skater in years.

9 / 10.0 - Helldivers
Mar 3, 2015

Helldivers may not look that spectacular, but it certainly plays that way. A hardcore shoot 'em up that rewards tactical thinking and teamwork. It features some of the most enjoyable and humorous co-op action in recent memory that makes sure it'll be one of 2015's best titles.

8.5 / 10.0 - Hand of Fate
Mar 3, 2015

For those that have played deck-building games or Dungeons & Dragons will know, sometimes it just comes down to the luck of the draw or the roll of the die. Some may find the game easy while others may just rage quit due to the unfairness of the draw. Those who stick with it will find a great combat system and well thought out mechanics that should have you coming back for hours on end.

A decent first step into the TRPG pond. While it lacks the serious tone and depth required for a diehard RPG lover, fans of the series and those looking for a laid-back comedy story will have lots of fun.

Familiar fun for fans of the series with deep customisation options and an impressive Empire Mode, but the repetitive combat formula hasn't evolved.

5 / 10.0 - Q*bert Rebooted
Feb 26, 2015

An effective if not particularly ambitious or polished reboot of an arcade classic, Q*Bert Rebooted is as accessible as the franchise has ever been but offers little in the way of significant new additions to keep players hooked in the long term and remains hobbled by a lack of leaderboards.

There is nothing at all wrong with the core of Super Stardust Ultra. The issue lies with how much remains the same as a title that came out nearly eight years ago while the studio responsible have moved on to bigger and better things.
