GameSpew's Reviews
It's unfair to say that Act It Out! isn't fun; it did provide plenty of entertainment – but then, a game of charades generally provides entertainment by itself
It's like the developers assumed everyone would know the game as well as they did, and decided instructions wouldn't be needed. G Prime really is a confusing mess for new players
Sure, sometimes the travel sequences can be boring and the combat isn't quite as fleshed-out as other games in the genre, but it still has that certain je ne sais quoi that makes you want to push on until you make it to the end
An RPG wouldn't be complete without some kind of character development, and UnEpic does not falter, allowing you deeply customise abilities to suit your playing style
Image & Form should be commended for rewarding players seeking a challenge without penalizing those just looking for a good time
As the game goes on it gets really tough: you'll find yourself repeating the same level over and over again, getting killed with the exit in sight and screaming at the screen in frustration
Starpoint Gemini 2 is a great game for players seeking a nice cerebral experience that they can take at their own pace
Punishing doesn't even begin to describe FIM Speedway 15
On the highest settings the game looks superb, with extremely detailed cars and environments, as well as some particularly impressive weather effects
Turnover feels like it just punishes you for things you don't know and it doesn't tell you, which is unjust
The unique visuals are complemented by a great soundtrack… the electro swing beats will often do the great task of calming you down after a bad level where you died 20 or more times
There is nothing more fun than taking out a member of your family with a missile and then pipping them to the finish!
Unfortunately… there's not much in the way of replayability – once you've completed the levels, there's no reason to come back as you have no high scores, time trials or leaderboards to beat
Thanks to the new Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, players can re-live a brilliant title from the beginnings of the console shooter
It's beautifully modelled, filled with colour, has incredible sound design, the sense of flight is exhilarating, and from time to time a challenging battle presents itself that gets your heart pumping
Every moment in Undertale is made special by the superb artistry that has been put into the music; it's far from a second thought and it shows
The lack of space battles in itself is another blow, which is not to say I don't love dogfighting through a canyon on Tattooine, but there was something about flinging a hapless boarding party against a Star Destroyer in some remote corner of the Galaxy that re-created the heroic adrenaline rush of the original A New Hope trench-run
It may feel familiar, but it's a warm and welcoming kind of familiar
The Primal Carnage series may have had legs for a few years on the PC, where it's secured a small but loyal fan base, but on the PS4, I don't think it will be too long until becomes extinct
The controls feel beautifully responsive as a you weave in and out of laser beams within inches of your life
