The game is cheap enough that I think it’s probably worth it for the really ardent point and clickers out there and fans of the LucasArts adventures in general. Although it’s fairly short, Duke Grabowski is planned to be part of a long running series, following his adventures across the high seas. Of course, this is assuming the game is popular enough to warrant it. However those looking for a more thought provoking adventure game that they can really get stuck into will be best off letting this one sail away.
Mount and Blade is not a bad game; it’s just a poorly implemented one that isn’t really suited to a home console. Those who are willing to invest in this game and put some serious time into it will no doubt garner a great deal of satisfaction and enjoyment. But the sheer amount of effort needed to get to this stage will put off the average gamer and I can’t help but think that if this kind of game is really your thing then you will be playing on a PC in the first place.
The dark, foreboding, post-apocalyptic worlds are beautifully drawn with some amazing attention to detail
As with every upgrade you achieve, the ferocity and volume of the enemy just increases, meaning you are pretty much always facing a losing battle
At first King Oddball seems to be quite simple, and you assume that there isn't that much to it, but oh, how wrong you can be!
The best word I can use is probably ‘clunky’, but putting it rather bluntly, Dungeon Punks controls as well as a dead horse
Graphically Maldita Castilla EX is beautiful; so much love and care was put into every pixel on the screen and the addition of scanlines create an almost perfect arcade experience
[Pac-Man 256] is without doubt one of the most addictive games I have ever played
It’s hard to be overly harsh on Digger Dan DX because of the price: it can be purchased for just £1.79!
The best feature of Sssnakes however is the price: this game can be purchased for just a penny short of two quid!
Pixel Piracy is difficult to get into: there is a lot to be learned and lots to remember; namely getting to grips with the vast inventory system and mastering how to keep the crew in check
Some of the puzzles do seem almost impossible; all but those with the most godlike of patience will likely turn it off in frustration and storm off – only to have a eureka moment hours later
[Level 22] often takes a bit of trial and error, having to make several mistakes before you find the right solution – but you will have a lot of fun doing so
What Fortified lacks in originality it certainly makes up for in style and execution
The two-player co-op mode puts the rating up a notch and makes the game even more fun to play
It's like the developers assumed everyone would know the game as well as they did, and decided instructions wouldn't be needed. G Prime really is a confusing mess for new players
As the game goes on it gets really tough: you'll find yourself repeating the same level over and over again, getting killed with the exit in sight and screaming at the screen in frustration
There is nothing more fun than taking out a member of your family with a missile and then pipping them to the finish!
Not only is the gameplay very generic, extremely frustrating in places and frankly quite tedious, it also has some other serious issues too
I quickly found myself addicted to Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure – it's colourful, addictive and has some cool music too
