Overall, Wildcat Gun Machine is a decent shooter. There are aspects of the game that feels unpolished or even rushed but the core gameplay loop is fun and that is what should ultimately matter. Hopefully, the game gets better through patches. Cause as it is right now, it’s only worth a single 6-8 hour run with hardly any reason to go for a second or more.

Overall, The House of the Dead Remake is a great addition to your game library and one that you’ll be playing again and again with its great replay value, finding various routes on the way to the bosses and their battles, rescuing researchers as you encounter them, and even finding score-increasing items and health kits as you mow down boxes and barrels along the area, and getting entangled in the battle against powerful bosses.

It has been mentioned a couple of times in this piece now, but the success of Bloodhunt still heavily relies on how much content the devs will keep on putting on this game. They will have to strike the right balance and quality of the next new game modes, archetypes, and possibly game mechanics to invite players who are unfamiliar with the franchise, as well as invite long time Vampire: The Masquerade fans to try out this weird concoction. The concept has potential, the sparks just needs constant fanning to catch on to a larger player base and become the next hit battle royale.

From its story to its platforming, Arise is simple in many ways and is not afraid to try new things with its mechanics. While its platforming makes things more difficult than it needs to be at times, it is the journey through the narrative that matters the most. If you’re up for a simple yet satisfying journey that tugs at your heartstrings, Arise will do just that.

8.5 / 10.0 - Forgive Me Father
Apr 29, 2022

Overall, Forgive Me Father is an immersive horror comic book style FPS with chilling backdrops and atmospheric sounds, even though the game is linear it lets you experiment with your approach with upgrades that you can implement in your weapons, stats, inventory, or your abilities. All of that is complemented with a chilling atmosphere straight out of H.P. Lovecraft’s novels that urge players to enter the rabbit hole of mystery that the game’s story gives while pushing through horrific hordes of enemies left and right in your own way.

Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers Edition is a great game to own, albeit being too late for its remaster and release, coming out seems like a quick nostalgia cash-in just to get something out of their fans. But if you’re a longtime fan that seeks to relive the nostalgia or experience Radical Dreamers for the first time, it’s a game you should pick up and will enjoy in the long run.

7 / 10.0 - Cat Cafe Manager
Apr 26, 2022

There haven’t been a lot of management and cooking simulator games released recently, and I’m starting to wonder if any of them can top the originals. However, Cat Café Manager managed to achieve that flawlessly. This game proved to be more fun than some console games costing nearly ten times as much. I had a lot of fun developing and operating my cat café in Caterwaul Way. I also love the diversity that the devs included in this game, it just shows how much heart and attention to detail was put into making this game. Cat Café Manager is a great way to unwind at the end of a long day thanks to the friendly Regulars, a brief heartwarming story, and upbeat music.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on Nintendo Switch is an amazing port. You get to relive the moments and space adventures of Starkiller and his motley crew in a much cleaner and sharper version of what the Wii offered.

6.5 / 10.0 - Chernobylite
Apr 21, 2022

There are some good moments in Chernobylite, but much of it is hampered by its inability to decide exactly what it wants to be. Neither the RPG nor survival horror elements rise to the occasion, but some of its storytelling pulls at your heartstrings. It kept me playing to see Igor and his companions through the end of the game. Chernobylite is best when it’s focusing on its characters, but I am not sure even that would make this adventure worthwhile.

7.5 / 10.0 - MLB The Show 22
Apr 19, 2022

MLB The Show 22 is one of the best baseball games on the market, if not the only one players should consider. However, as the MLB The Show series has cracked the code for crafting a baseball game that looks authentic and plays fantastically, development studio Sony San Diego may have painted themselves into a corner. Progress made since MLB The Show 21 is minuscule, and this year’s entry is mostly a rehash of the previous game, begging players to ask if this year’s entry is worth full price. That isn’t to say that MLB The Show 22 isn’t worth the time investment from its fans, because it is quite an excellent sports game, but it might be time to start thinking outside of the box about how the franchise can begin to iterate.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga reinvents the LEGO video game formula and revitalizes the entire franchise with something much more than what its predecessors offered. It's crazy fun, and undeniably engaging, The Skywalker Saga is now the pinnacle of LEGO games in history.

7 / 10.0 - Weird West
Mar 31, 2022

As a game that delves into the supernatural, the story of Weird West is surprisingly interwoven with humanity. It tells a story in such a way that it makes you think otherwise of the things you used to think were awesome. If a game’s narrative makes you ponder for a solid moment, that’s a game worth experiencing in my book.

However, where Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands truly shines is in its superb setting, well-written characters, and off-beat writing that feels right at home within the framework of four friends playing a game of Bunkers & Badasses.

7.5 / 10.0 - Ghostwire: Tokyo
Mar 21, 2022

Ghostwire Tokyo is not a bad game, but it never reaches the greatness I’d seen Tango Gameworks do previously. If you’re a fan of open-world games, collecting things, and love side content, it might be something you enjoy, but be wary of the game’s narrative and battles. With those, you’re in for a bit of corporeal punishment.

Team Ninja nails the gameplay. Killing classic Final Fantasy monsters has never been more fun than it is as Jack Garland. If you can dive into Stranger of Paradise knowing that you’re in for a chaotic mess with a solid gameplay foundation, you’re in for a good time.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is a good fighting but does suffer from a few drawbacks. It's a good port for the PS4 and is definitely a must-buy for Persona fans. Arc System Works manages to accurately nail what a Persona fighting game should be.

4.5 / 10.0 - Babylon's Fall
Mar 8, 2022

Babylon’s Fall is a failure on multiple levels made worse by a plethora of outdated ideas and Square’s reluctance to innovate on the games-as-a-service model that ensures that it’ll never stand out in a sea of other mediocre live service games. This would have been an ok game if it weren’t for the premium track battle pass that really doesn’t seem to appeal to anyone. In its current state, it’s not worth the asking price.

Overall, I would recommend this expansion to anyone who seems interested in playing the game. Destiny 2 Witch Queen is arguably the best expansion the franchise has ever seen and while it may have its shortcomings the future looks bright.
