8.5 / 10.0 - FAR: Changing Tides
Mar 7, 2022

FAR: Changing Tides is more concerned with showing a story rather than actually telling one, and it absolutely works out in its favor. Yet again, the series manages to tell an entire story without a single line of dialog. There aren’t many thrilling moments throughout the journey, but the ones we do have are some of the most eye-opening ones that I couldn’t even imagine being possible, even in the last game. There are very few games that allow you to look inward the way the FAR series does. If you’ve played and enjoyed the first game, you owe it yourself to have this game be part of your collection.

9.5 / 10.0 - Gran Turismo 7
Mar 2, 2022

Gran Turismo 7 quenches the need for speed. It's not made just for the fans, but for everyone, and Polyphony learned what they've lacked in GT Sport. Gran Turismo 7 is the best racing game of 2022. Period.

5.5 / 10.0 - Music Racer
Feb 28, 2022

Overall, Music Racer Ultimate is just an average game, but as a rhythm game, it depends mostly on the player whether or not they want to try something different from the indie scene. From my point of view, the game feels lacking and will need a huge amount of improvement to appeal to a larger audience.

7 / 10.0 - Shadow Warrior 3
Feb 28, 2022

At its best, Shadow Warrior 3 is a competent Doom clone, serviceable enough for anyone that is really looking to kill some demons and kill some time, but perhaps best at a discount. Otherwise, Shadow Warrior 3 is uninspired and underdeveloped.

3 / 10.0 - ELEX II
Feb 28, 2022

Elex II is a mediocre RPG with a boring story and characters which is greatly ruined by its infuriating bugs and horrible mission design. I personally would not recommend the game in its current state.

3.5 / 10.0 - Martha is Dead
Feb 24, 2022

Unfortunately, I can’t really recommend Martha Is Dead. It has a slew of problems and wasted potential when it comes to its narrative presentation. And gameplay-wise the game does feel lacking and has nowhere near the impact it clearly wants to have. At the end of the day, it winds up being a more confusing mess than a coherent emotional story.

9.5 / 10.0 - Elden Ring
Feb 23, 2022

Elden Ring feels like a culmination of everything that FromSoftware has created in the past 13 years. Refining, reworking, and incorporating the best parts of their whole catalog into one complete package. The Lands Between is one of the most extraordinary open worlds I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. It’s a world that you can’t help but lose yourself in for hours at a time thanks to its classic RPG sense of exploration and curiosity. This is the cherry on top for a team that has been firing on all cylinders for over a decade. Elden Ring is a triumph.

8.5 / 10.0 - Infernax
Feb 19, 2022

Infernax walks a fine line between honoring the classics while adding its own unique stamp to the genre, and I am glad that it did so exceeding well. The game wears its inspiration proudly on its sleeve. And as a game all about stopping a demonic invasion, it is all the better for it. On a final note, Infernax doesn't take a hard stance on difficulty as it has a classic mode and a casual mode. It takes the player's choice to heart and does all that is reasonable to accommodate player preference without butchering the experience. This is one game that deserves a place in your classics library.

King of Fighters XV is a decent fighting game, however, I feel it’s a bit overshadowed by others in the fighting genre like Tekken 7 or Street Fighter V which offer better fighting experiences. It’s not that the game is bad, but the King of Fighters XV feels like just a refined version of King of Fighters XIV.

Despite minor technical issues that can be patched up, Horizon: Forbidden West's compelling narrative, a spectacular cast of characters, its impressive graphical feat, and superb combat will make your time worthwhile. Horizon: Forbidden West is simply a masterpiece, a game that a PS4 and PS5 owner should not miss.

If you’re willing to invest hours of your time into Total War: Warhammer III you’ll find a rich addicting experience.

All in all, Life is Strange Remastered Collection, as a game, is better than the sum of its parts. I’ve found it to be flawed yet fascinating and interesting. The same can be said for parts of its prequels but that game can also be a bore sometimes. Whatever the case may be, these are games I would recommend to anyone curious as Life is Strange has a lot to offer that may connect better with you. But I do recommend you hold off on this remaster until the bugs have been addressed.

8.5 / 10.0 - Sifu
Feb 6, 2022

When everything falls into place, and you hit that flow-state mastery of Sifu’s combat, it becomes one of the most unique and refreshing action games that we have seen in a while. Add in some beautiful artwork and great homages to kung fu classics, and this game is a winner. Its challenging and repetitious nature won't be for everybody; however, If you’re in the market for a game with mechanics that you can really sink your teeth into, Sifu is your best bet.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human largely improves upon the original in every way, and it will have you enveloped in the dying light of the City again and again as you glide, climb, and jump from roof to roof in search of the next thing to explore.

Overall, Pokémon Legends Arceus is a great game. With a new concept being used for this Pokémon series, in my opinion, there might be a chance that this concept will be used for future Pokémon games. I also think that this game could potentially open new heights for more spin offs and open the door to different platforms like PC where Pokémon can find a new audience.

Despite the lack of ray tracing and the absence of Uncharted 4‘s beloved multiplayer, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is still an impressive PS5 port, providing the best overall performance. However, the $49.99 price point doesn’t really sit well with me; such that the PS4 versions of both games, which costs about only $10 each at retail, still look and play great.

7.5 / 10.0 - Solar Ash
Dec 2, 2021

Solar Ash is at its best when you can skate a line perfectly and enter that satisfying flow state where nothing can stop you. The only thing Solar Ash asks of you is to fall into its groove and fall in love with its style, and if you can do that, you will have a wonderful time.
