The STAR WARS Battlefront Classic Collection should have been a slam dunk but it has managed to somehow fumble on the one-yard line. For as amazing as these games are, this new updated version is riddled with issues from online being nearly unplayable, to major performance issues.

Bubble Bobble 3D Vacation Odyssey is just a game with a cool mechanic, a strong history of quality, and little else, if it didn’t have the Bubble Bobble name attached it would be just an OK puzzle game with issues

The game does a really good job of conveying the gameplay and appearance of the original Resident Evil games, but the problem is, the world has moved on, and when the camera angles are so acute and obscured it makes what should be a nostalgic trip, very frustrating. The gunplay is overly sensitive and inconsistent as you never really know where you are shooting or you cannot judge distance and angles very well.

Whilst it has some strong gameplay here, The fiddly mechanics and hit and miss style of performing tricks really lets it down.

7 / 10.0 - Prehistoric Gal
Jul 7, 2025

Prehistoric Gal is a light, accessible action-platformer that offers just enough charm to entertain for a few hours. With easy Platinum trophies, simple mechanics, and a nostalgic presentation, it’s ideal for trophy hunters or casual players looking for a quick fix. However, its repetitive gameplay, lack of depth, and minimal replay value may not satisfy those seeking a more robust or innovative experience. It’s a fun diversion, but not a lasting adventure.

7 / 10.0 - Exo-Calibre
Jul 8, 2025

Exo-Calibre is a visually striking and mechanically solid vertical shmup that pays homage to arcade classics while injecting its own personality. Its variety of modes, character options, and explosive gameplay make it a worthwhile pick for fans of the genre. However, its lack of accessibility features and occasional tedium may limit its appeal to a broader audience. For those seeking a nostalgic, bullet-filled ride with a modern twist, Exo-Calibre is a worthy contender, just be ready for a few bumps along the way.

Nikoderiko: The Magical World is a solid game with vibrant graphics, tight controls, and a lot of replay value for those who enjoy collecting items. While it has some drawbacks, such as difficult boss battles and limited accessibility options, it provides a fun and engaging experience, especially for fans of classic action platformers. The game’s levels are well-designed, offering players a sense of freedom and exploration, making it a worthwhile addition to any gamer’s library. Overall the game just struggles to create its own identity.

Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers has a lot of potential with its unique gameplay mechanics, customization options, and engaging card-playing elements. However, it is held back by unresponsive controls, lack of a tutorial, and a flat atmosphere. Despite these issues, it remains an easy game to get into and offers a variety of challenges and rewards for players willing to dive into its world.

The game is more aimed at younger players and is best played in multiplayer but is fine in solo. However, it lacks the character’s voices from the film series and the music is not great. The game also lacks online multiplayer and getting equipment in the shop is a real grind. Despite these issues, the game offers a unique and engaging experience for players.
