Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Deluxe Edition features a good balance between exploration and strategy and a simple but interesting plot - when all these factores come together, the result is a game that does a very laudable job at keeping the player interested. While a multiplayer mode would be more than welcome, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden - Deluxe Edition has enough qualities to be one of the best of its kind in the Nintendo Switch.

Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition is a game that offers a lot for the players to wrap themselves with. With a very engaging gameplay that results from its missions, sidequests, wealth of objects and soundtrack, this Deathinitive Edition of Darksiders II represents a very good experience that definitely carves a place for itself in the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

Fell Seal: Arbiter’s Mark is a tactical RPG that may seem like it's trying to follow the footsteps of its older counterparts but that doesn't mean it's not a game with its own merits. With a stunning visual environment, a top notch audio environment and an immense variety of characters, Fell Seal is easily accessible for most players and well worthy of praise.

Raiden V: Director's Cut brings the expanded version of this vertical shoot'em-up to the Nintendo Switch, with its mix of frantic action, local co-op mode and top notch soundtrack. Its minor flaws, such as an overwhelming amount of information, are easily drowned by the game's enveloping pace. Raiden V: Director's Cut is easily one of the finest shoot'em-ups available for the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

Ring Fit Adventure is unusual, strange, fun, well-structured and something which only Nintendo could have come up with. What could very well be a no-frills fitness app is actually a fully-fledged game with all the right ingredients and which can get the player to enjoy physical exercise, all while fulfilling the requirements to be an enjoyable game.

Overwatch finally makes it to the Nintendo Switch but other than giving its fans an option on a Nintendo platform, this version is overall subpar experience. The framerate drop compared to the other versions, which falls even deeper in some moments and visual flaws make this feel like a downgraded experience, while the lack of crossplatform compatibility leaves this version isolated and its handheld advantage in impaired by the requirement of an internet connection.

Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland is a significant leap in the series when compared to its predecessors. Not only has its visual environment undergone a major rework next to previous games in the series, it also features the finest alchemy and combat systems in games carrying the Atelier name. The best game for anyone to enter this series and a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a marvelous piece of a platform game that may not reinvent the whole genre but which has enough of the right stuff to provide an experience that's enjoyable and delightful to play. Thanks to its gaming worlds, humorous dialogues and challenge level, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair will fit well with both fans of platform games and those taking their first steps in the genre.

This point and click adventure features gorgeous looking visuals and a plot so overly satirical and absurd that it's impossible not to grow fond of it. Its performance regarding player inputs falls below its quota, however, as the interaction with objects doesn't always work as expected on the Nintendo Switch but for every revolutionary or just mildly subversive player who enjoys point and click adventures, Irony Curtain will provide a welcome dose of proletarian-led entertainment.

GRID Autosport is the best driving simulator to hit a Nintendo platform over the last decades. Its large amount of content, demanding gameplay and sensations transmitted by the HD Rumble feature all contribute to make this a very interesting work, which went to great lengths to fit into the Nintendo Switch, to the point of allowing the player to choose between a better visual environment or a better game performance. A very welcome entry in the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

Little Town Hero may be an RPG but its most relevant and memorable aspect is not the plot or even the development, it's the combat system - original, interesting and challenging, Little Town Hero mostly lives for its combats. It doesn't stretch the game's soul much further than this, though, as the experience is too short, the plot feels too common and uninspired and the overall game could have been much more ambitious. There's enough here to captivate fans of JRPG games but to expand beyond that, Little Town Hero needs to improve on several key aspects.

7 / 10 - Candleman
Oct 16, 2019

Candleman is a simple game with a charming plot that could not stand out more for both its simplicity and uniqueness. Thanks to its praise-worthy level design Candleman is an experience that can easily become rewarding for anyone who wants to play it even for only 10 minutes, which makes it fit like a charm on the Nintendo Switch. There is not much more to Candleman, though, which is a pity as the game could offer much more if it was more ambitious.

Most of its effectiveness lies on the co-op component, which makes the experience very fun and involving thanks to its robust combat system and humorous plot. While the solo experience is properly balanced, it's on its co-op component that Full Metal Furies really stands out and nobody should forego their chance to get their hands on this.

Hellmut: the Badass from Hell is not a game for everyone. Less experienced players will feel put off by its very demanding level of difficulty, while more seasoned veterans will enjoy its mix of varied characters and procedurally generated levels with a tough challenge threshold. While the audiovisual environment is far from being something spectacular, Hellmut: the Badass from Hell can certainly keep a demanding player's attention for a long time.

3 / 10 - Trouserheart
Oct 12, 2019

Trouserheart is a game that was originally developed for mobile but and whose conversion for the Nintendo Switch unfortunately adds almost nothing to the experience. Despite a humorous plot, every other aspect of Trouserheart feels way too sub-par and the result is a game whose conversion to the Nintendo Switch is not worthy of highlighting compared to other more enjoyable games.

The Shapeshifting Detective is another example in the return of games based on the use of Full Motion Video and one which boasts a very good quality in that medium. The environment of mystery and suspense and the ability of the protagonist to assume the shape of any character stand out as the game's best qualities at the same time that a certain lack of interactivity and a plot with pacing issues keep this work from becoming a must buy.

6 / 10 - Godly Corp
Oct 10, 2019

Thanks to its unusual concept, humour and in-game actions, Godly Corp is certain to gain a special place in many player's hearts, even if that special place will live in a section of its own. Some aspects of its gameplay mechanics turn out to be rather frustrating and the lack of a multiplayer component significantly reduces its prospects but Godly Corp is still more than worthy of an opportunity.

6 / 10 - My Big Sister
Oct 10, 2019

My Big Sister is not very bombastic when it comes to its most visible elements, namely its puzzles and how similar they are among them. Where this game shines the most is when it comes to the quality of its plot and character interaction, which leads to multiple endings and a greater appeal to the player's curiosity. If its lifespan was longer and its puzzles more varied, My Big Sister could very well be a much more compelling game.

6 / 10 - Boreal Blade
Oct 9, 2019

Boreal Blade consists of a multiplayer-only melee fighting experience which can be enjoyed both online and on a local level. If the game is overall quite simple when it comes to the moves and visual environment, the combat system is quite fun and engaging and the game features plenty of customization options. The experience could be more enjoyable if the connection to its servers was easier and its community was larger.
