8.5 / 10.0 - Creepy Road

Seriously fun and straight forward, this side-scrolling bullet hell is wonderfully ridiculous. I would definitely recommend giving it a go. Divebombing pandas and raging circus bears on unicycles. What more do I need to say, hmm?

While frustrating, it's a solid horror game which has a lot of potential.

8 / 10.0 - Debris Infinity

A great little twin-stick shooter that wears its inspiration on its sleeves but backs it up with challenging wave based fun that might easily become an addiction as you try to work your way up the leaderboards.

If you haven't already played the game, then there's not that much here that will make you rush out and get it, but for £7.99, nobody was really expecting that. If, like me, you really enjoyed the old-school romp as it was initially conceived, then this is more of the same with a little garnish to boot.

It was yet another good game from Ubisoft and I always like to be an Assassin again. I look forward to seeing if the next Assassin's Creed game will be just as big as Odyssey, although not too big please.

It's not going to change the world, but it would certainly interest a tween that wants to get into RPGs.

A beginning of a political and troubling story, with some “uncanny valley” animations and dark themes - Dontnod once again proving they are the top of this genre.

I want to like this game, but the same bugs keep coming up time and time again in these LEGO games, which made me dread playing it. Get LEGO Batman 2: DC Super-Heroes, and wait for a sale.

TWEWY -Final Remix- does a stellar job with updating the DS originals visual and aural design. Some control issues and changes to combat mechanics to fit the Nintendo Switch are unfortunate but the story and game systems are still excellent and will still have you eagerly trying to survive the Reaper's Game.

8 / 10.0 - F1 2018

The latest and greatest F1 game for Codemasters roster, with just enough new about it to make it an update from last years. It'll be a hard push to see what they do for 2019, that's for sure, but Codemasters have had a long run with the F1 license, and it doesn't look like they're keen to stop anytime soon.

Awesome little puzzler that'll do well to keep you busy when you want it to, challenging enough that it will give even the most die-hard puzzler's brains a workout, but clever enough to not have you needing to complete the level at a time, so you can put it down and come back to it when the thermal throttling on your brain has returned to normal.

Overcooked! 2: Surf N' Turf is an expansion that does a solid job in most areas. That being said, don't expect the same level of effort in terms of story or cooperative gameplay, as the end result may leave you wanting something more.

7.5 / 10.0 - FAST STRIKER
Oct 23, 2018

A fast, furious and fun shoot ‘em up that brings some interesting gameplay changes into its different modes. Doesn't do anything groundbreaking but plays like a dream and looks and sounds exactly as you remember shmups do!

8 / 10.0 - Impulsion
Oct 13, 2018

Although short, the longevity is in its replayability to offer a greater challenge. If you're a fan of Portal and want another quirky test-chamber 3D-platformer that tests your skills, reflexes and patience, you can't go wrong with Impulsion.

There might be some faults throughout but they don't stop Frozen Synapse 2 from being a solid sequel that is worth your time.

This silly RPG is definitely one to try, especially if you like fart jokes, sarcasm, and general childishness. Fun and addictive.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is entertaining enough to be worth the price of admission, but it's an action-adventure title that follows the same beats as any action-adventure title. While the story may be new, the characters, the set-pieces, and the dramatic ending, are all things we've seen before.

6 / 10.0 - Rise & Shine

A solid, if uninspiring run ‘n gun title with some very nice visuals. The game's length and difficulty make it hard to recommend without reservation but if you are after something a little quirky you might enjoy your brief time with this.

Highly polished and with beautiful presentation, this futuristic parkour-inspired game is a true unique take on the genre – not something that can be said often. If you like Wipeout, you will definitely enjoy this.

Airheart - Tales of Broken Wings is an intense twin-stick shooter that at times will have you on the edge of your seat. However, Airheart is let down by the vast amount of grinding it takes to reach its endgame, and with minimal story elements peppered throughout, it's hard to see a lot of players following through right to the very end.
