While the presentation has some peaks and valleys, the game’s level design, platforming, and combat should surely grant this Kangaroo a seat at the table right next to the bandicoot and purple dragon that clearly inspired it.

Dwerve managed to break into my top 10 titles of the year (so far). It is witty, colorful, and fun. It may be a bit simple, and difficulty may fluctuate at times, but I still found it all incredibly enjoyable.

So does Salt and Sacrifice succeed in being an enjoyable experience? Absolutely, it does. The controls are responsive, there are many viable styles of play, the music is engaging, the sound effects are crunchy, and the animations are fun and stylized.
Tight gameplay, beautiful cinematography, and the yells of my slain foes are only a few parts of what makes this game incredibly enthralling.
Rogue Legacy 2 is an absolute delight. It’s charming, funny, unique, deep, and incredibly well-designed. Cellar Door Games knew what they had with the original Rogue Legacy and took their time to ensure Rogue Legacy 2’s official 1.0 release was something truly special.
The charm of Kirby and the Forgotten Land never wore out through the entirety of my 20+ hours with the game, and it took Nintendo’s New Donk City aesthetic to the next level.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is full of heart and appreciation for the material that would make Star Wars fans rejoice, even if each chapter isn’t filled to the brim with a litany of content.
Borderlands has always been the Godfather of looter-shooters, Wonderlands is the “Goodfellas.” It rebuilt my faith in the genre. Gearbox created a wonderful masterpiece of a game that I hope influences future iterations of the franchise.
Weird West had me hooked from the moment I sat down with it. It’s a well-designed, interesting game that offers something a little more intriguing than a lot of games.
It is somewhat odd to make such drastic changes in design for a game on its third entry, but what they set out to accomplish they did with flying colors.
Destiny 2: The Witch Queen is the best Destiny has ever been, and it is a fitting way to usurp the throne that was long held by the Taken King.
Horizon Forbidden West contains a ton of interesting and new concepts that help evolve the franchise, but it could have gone further when it comes to performance.
Elden Ring is not only the best game From Software has ever developed, it stands firmly alongside the greatest fantasy-RPGs of all-time.
For new players and veterans of The King of Fighters series, this is the finest entry yet.
Overall KINGDOM of the DEAD is a bit rough around the edges, but it’s very clear the team at Dirigo have a passion for classic first-person shooters.
Should you overcome SIFU, you’ll find a game that has few peers, which will stick with you long after beating it.
Rainbow Six: Extraction is a near perfect translation of the Rainbow Six: Siege PvP formula of Tactics, Teamwork, and Tension into a PvE setting.
Some writing oddities aside, Chorus is a wonderful return to form for the genre.
