Life is Strange 2: Episode One - Roads is a sluggish beginning of a new season, which lacks depth of the original Life is Strange story. It can turn into something big in the following episodes, but right now it feels like something from Telltale Games and not Dontnod Entertainment.

F1 2018 is an excellent game for fans of the series. A convenient difficulty settings will be especially useful for new players, but they are unlikely to stay for long, given the specific content and its relatively small variety.

Transference is a very successful adventure project without any revelations, but with a good VR adaptation. If you plan to play a story of a mad professor in the usual way without the VR headset, then you can deduct one point from our score.

Divinity: Original Sin II is an amazing sequel, which improved all successful elements of the original. A great game with a fascinating gameplay, an interesting story and nice humor. If you are a fan of the genre, Original Sin II simply must be in your collection.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is game with a mediocre story and stupid opponents, which you almost immediately forget about because of an interesting and rich world with puzzles, secrets and numerous trials in the fantastic scenery of abandoned temples and wild jungles. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is not a GOTY 2018, but one of the most vivid and memorable adventures for sure.

Valkyria Chronicles 4' developers made the game in the best traditions of the first one, but they did not bring anything new. As a result, Valkyria Chronicles 4 feels like a very large expansion to the first game, which was released 10 years ago. Of course, this does not make Valkyria Chronicles 4 a bad game, but we, frankly, hoped for more.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is an amazing remake of Yakuza 2 with superb graphics, charismatic characters, addictive gameplay and a lot of fun side quests. If you have finished Yakuza 0 and the first Kiwami already, then you should definitely play Kiwami 2.

The new Spider-Man features an incredibly beautiful open world, dull bosses and repetitive tasks. This project will amaze you with its visual quality, but, on the other hand, may dissapoint you with monotonous gameplay.

Death's Gambit is a good attempt to make a 2D version of Souls with an interesting game mechanics and a large and well-designed world. The game captivates and makes you come back to it again and again, even despite kinda bland bosses.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the dangerous world of hunting with a mountains of content and the ability to play not only at home but also on the road. If you've already finished with Monster Hunter World and want more, then Generations Ultimate will be a great purchase.

The Council - Episode 3: Ripples gives a little more attention to dialogues and intrigues, leaving puzzles and riddles in the background. The ending, again, is not intriguing enough, but we already complained about this when reviewing previous episode.

Guacamelee! 2 is a great adventure in a colorful world with deep mechanics, interesting style, good jokes and funny references. If you love metroidvania genre and liked the first game, then you should buy a sequel immediately.

Monster Hunter World takes a huge step towards a new audience, not simplifying, but simply optimizing the old overloaded mechanics. Old fans will be delighted. [OpenCritic note: Zelliel separately reviewed the PC (8) and PS4 (9) versions. The scores have been averaged.]

INSIDE creators excellently adapted the game for a Nintendo Switch system, and final result is not inferior to the original version in portable or docked modes. If you have not yet played this masterpiece on the other systems, then make sure you catch up on any platform. But even if you've finished the game, it's worth it to try it again.

Dead Cells manages to perfectly combine several different genres and becomes one of the most important and interesting indie projects of 2018. Excellent mechanics, adequate balance of complexity, atmospheric locations, great level generation, nonlinearity and a huge number of all possible combinations of equipment make this game a must-buy. Especially if you like Metroid, The Binding of Isaac and Diablo.
