9 / 10.0 - Later Daters
Mar 5, 2021

In the end, Later Daters is a pure delight to play. Being older doesn't mean life is over and these sprightly and very realistic seniors prove that love truly is eternal. If you're looking for a visual choose-your-own-adventure game that will make you laugh, think, and, yes, even tear up a bit, then Later Daters is the game for you. It's available on Steam for $7.99.

Little Nightmares II is more of what fans enjoyed in the first installment. It's a terrific blend of evenly spaced platforming combined with environmental object manipulation puzzles. If that wasn't enough there's even a dose of co-ed puzzle solving. The game especially shines during the tense, atmospheric real-time platforming sequences. With its forgiving checkpoint auto-saves even a tired, old gamer can succeed through the platforming sequences.

When thrown in with two other great titles (more on those soon) Rock N Roll Racing was an innovative racing title that still plays well today. Priced at a smooth $19.99USD for the whole collection, I don't think you can go wrong picking up this blast from the past.

7.5 / 10.0 - Neoverse
Mar 2, 2021

Neoverse Trinity Editon is a surprisingly addictive deck-building card battling game. There are some things that will make you think this was a converted mobile game from the West, especially given anime-based heroines. The game leaves a lot for you to figure out but provides enough varied missions so that successive playthroughs don't feel completely monotonous. It requires some patience to master the system and unlock new cards but on the plus side, it plays well in undocked mode making for a great travel game!

8 / 10.0 - Littlewood
Feb 27, 2021

As day turns to night and summer speeds on, it’s obvious that this painless play style is entirely necessary. There are rarely enough hours in the days and the day/night cycle will rarely give gamers enough time to do much more than dash in and get a little of what they need, so frugal use of your time is utterly vital. Still, whether you’re ready to build the busiest town imaginable, officially become the cutest small hamlet in history or a famous fishing maestro you can. Littlewood is a picturesque escape into a magical world that doesn’t expect anything more than your own enjoyment. If you’re sick of the pressures of daily life, then quit being a hero and take some time in Littlewood, available on the Nintendo eShop now.

9 / 10.0 - Breathedge
Feb 26, 2021

Breathedge 1.0 is a fun, humorous free-form float through space. There's not a lot to complain about here as the game does the survival/collecting game genre proud. Wrap this up with some humorous storytelling that would make Deadpool proud and you have a bonafide winner!

4 / 10.0 - Skyforge
Feb 26, 2021

One plus side of this release is that Skyforge is free to play! If you own a Nintendo Switch, there is absolutely no risk at all involved for you to jump in the game and try it out for yourself. I always highly encourage anyone who has even the slightest bit of interest to try it out for themselves. I will definitely be keeping my eye on Skyforge for the next few weeks to see whether or not they pull through on their end with fixes. If that happens, I would be more than happy to update this review with a newer article, score, and impressions. For now, I’ll just have to say goodbye to my beautiful wings and halo, and hang them up for a day when they can be utilized to their fullest without the constant crashing.

9 / 10.0 - #Drive
Feb 24, 2021

Overall, #Drive is one of those feel-good runners where you just have to lose yourself to the gameplay and have a good time. Available now on the Nintendo Switch for $12.99 and available later on for android systems. My son and I enjoyed this title and we will continue to enjoy it trying to beat each other's records.

The Dark Eye: Memoria is a great representation of a classic point-and-click adventure that is heavily steeped in The Dark Eye mythos. While the game should fulfill all your expectations for an adventure game you might fall victim to some of the game's puzzle frustration. Perhaps fans of The Dark Eye role-playing tabletop game can overcome this easier than an adventure game enthusiast.

If you are someone who enjoyed the puzzles and the dad joke-like humor of Immortals: Fenyx Rising, A New God DLC is for you. The Vaults will challenge your approach to the game mechanics with the addition of new and expanded mechanics. However, if you are not a fan of trials and get easily frustrated, the DLC might be a miserable experience.

10 / 10.0 - Hades
Feb 17, 2021

Hades is a roguelike action RPG developed and published by Supergiant Games. It set a new bar for roguelike games with amazing visuals, character development, and storyline. Hades does have a few minor issues that plague most roguelikes. But these don't impact the overall experience of an amazingly great game.

"Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption" for the Nintendo Switch is a great port of a classic adventure game that pays faithful homage to the "Quest For Glory" PC series of games. If you've never played a classic point-n-click adventure game expect a lot of reading, clicking on objects, and dialogue text to go through. For the impatient gamer, this might be a bit trying as some of it might even get tiresome for a seasoned adventure game veteran. To those that preserve you'll be treated to classic and entertaining adventure!

If you are looking for a 2D dungeon crawler with some rogue-lite options, Sword of the Necromancer might just scratch that itch, but for me the legend didn't quite live up to what I had hoped.

7.5 / 10.0 - Yaga
Feb 8, 2021

Yaga on PC is a fun romp through an underused setting. Slavic lore is fascinating and the game hands it to you by the bucket. However, while the story is fun, the setting is fantastic, and the graphics are terrific, Yaga's gameplay suffers from mediocrity despite some interesting-ish mechanics.

This story of a tiny hero is charming and disarming… figuratively and, occasionally, literally. While he is small in stature, Skul proves that sometimes even the smallest among us may achieve the greatest things. Against all odds, Skul may just be the key to fulfilling the dreams of Carleon's First Hero AND the machinations of the Demon King.

The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff Pack is a nice, niche addition to the game that feels like it should always have been here. It was not obvious on how to start your journey as a Medium, but once you get in you're guaranteed some spooky fun.

Despite Earthblood's roughshot ride over opportunities to dive deep into the lore of Werewolf: the Apocalypse, the focused exploration of this end of the World Of Darkness manages to deliver a bloody good time when the claws come out. It's just a shame that some of the loftier ideas are let down by repetitive stealth gameplay and poorly developed mechanics.

Cultist Simulator: Initiate Edition is by no means a terrible game. It's just one that lends itself to a lot of trial and error coupled with a lot of dying. It's a story-driven card game with a Lovecraftian backdrop that will please the occult/horror fiction fan, assuming you have the patience to preserve. In this day and age of instant gratification, the long wait to finally figure out how to succeed in this game might be too long for most.

6 / 10.0 - OctaFight

OctaFight while it can be initially fun and having great music, the game really depends on having people to play with locally and in this time of social distancing that has made it pretty hard since there is no single player.
