8.7 / 10.0 - Vampyr
Jun 4, 2018

Vampyr exceeds all expectations and delivers a thrilling vampire adventure with great storytelling and a gameplay that borrows the right elements from games like Bloodborne. If you can live with some longer loading screens and a missing fast travel option you'll get a well made Action-RPG with lots of enjoyable content.

6.5 / 10.0 - Agony
Jun 3, 2018

Agony stays way behind expectations and don't manages even after the official release to fix some major audio/technical issues with the game. The simple gameplay elements and the big graphical downgrade make it hard to recommend this game to anyone.

Far Cry 5: Hours of Darkness offers the usual Far Cry Action but that's it. No surprises or crazy elements you would expect and a bland environment and generic missions make this DLC hard to recommend.

Detroit: Become Human manages to destroy a perfect story setup with a simple "right in the face" presentation of a complex theme despite a great acting performance of the main characters. The many optional outcomes during the playthrough lose lots of replay value because of that and make it probably the worst Quantic Dream game so far. There are still good visuals and enough entertainment for one playthrough but it doesn't deliver on anything else.

Dark Souls Remastered is also in this version one kind of an experience: The game does not give you anything, but manages to deliver unique moments of success while progressing through the game and comes with very deep-rooted and highly sophisticated gameplay mechanics. Despite there is no additional content aside the Prepare to Die Edition and only a few minor graphical changes were made, fans and new entrants to the series should definitely get their hands on one of the most insteresting and fascinating titles in the history of videogames.

8 / 10.0 - State of Decay 2
May 16, 2018

After extensive testing, we awarded State of Decay 2 due to the low price of 29.99 € and what’s delivered within the game 8 out of a possible 10 points. Very positively is the finally added co-op and the loot system. The graphics are rather negative, which in favor of the performance is well below what we saw in the E3 trailer last year. In summary, State of Decay 2 delivers a thrilling adventure with a high replay ability value and its complex systems, which can be a lot of fun in a co-op.

In its core Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition is a traditional Musō-style Game which unfortunately took over 1:1 all of the typical issues that the Warriors series has. Also the game fights with technical issues but carefully manages to take all the major storyelements of the Legend of Zelda series that create an interesting perspective on how Link and his friends would face epic battles within it. Fans of both worlds should give the world of Hyrule apart from Nintendo a try.

Even that the changes to the original from 2014 are very small and the price is higher than the original release on the WiiU back in 2014, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is a gorgeous and awesome playable plattformer and probably the best AAA-Jump N`Run you have faced in years. An absolute no-brainer for fans of the genre.

Manticore – Galaxy on Fire is a straightforward and diverting Space Shooter with a solid gameplay that gets repetitive from time to time. Even with some missed opportunities in the story department, Sci Fi Fans will get some fun out of this.

6.5 / 10.0 - Extinction
Apr 17, 2018

Extinction uses so many good ideas of other games and executes them poorly and manages to combine it with a whole new level of repetition. Even the other Game Modes it offers don't offer any replay value for the already overpriced title.

7.6 / 10.0 - Ys Origin
Apr 16, 2018

Despite being more than eleven years old, Y’s Origin still provides a fast arcade-fighting system, exciting boss-fights and a huge challenge for achievement-hunter. The old graphics may not meet everyones flavour, but with it’s nostalgic charme, they still manage to win peoples hearts. In short, Y’s Origin is a typical JRPG, that successfully reminisce us about videogames like Terranigma or Zelda: A Link to the Past and the beautiful 16/32-bit era.

8.2 / 10.0 - Surviving Mars
Apr 1, 2018

Surviving Mars is well made city-building strategy game with a interesting setting and solid gameplay that really needs a tutorial for newcomers and some variety in the side missions to be fully optimized. Fans of the the genre will still have their fun.

8.9 / 10.0 - Far Cry 5
Mar 25, 2018

Despite a frustrating AI and a strong focus on Online Co-Op/Far Cry Arcade, Far Cry 5 is probably the best Far Cry experience so far. From a intuitive exploration over a varied open world and lots of amusing and crazy moments this game got everything that fans love about the series. It's still open how much long-term motivation the map editor and live events will offer but Far Cry Fans will be entertained for about 15-20 hours.

7.8 / 10.0 - A Way Out
Mar 25, 2018

A Way Out is a well made Co-Op fun for a great evening on the couch or online with friends that oftens tries to put too much into the game and misses to actually deliver on the gameplay and story telling part. If you can live with tons of flaws in every department you'll still have lots of fun with the game.

6.5 / 10.0 - Sea of Thieves
Mar 25, 2018

It would be safe to say that Sea of Thieves may need a bit of refinement to develop the full potential that it could have by far. The multiplayer approach is well chosen and the rare naval battles become the highlight of every adventure. But the missing content that should keep you in the mood and the missing level system let you lose the initial adventure euphoria quickly. So I’d recommend to wait and see how Sea of Thieves develops. What content will follow and whether the price of 60 € can keep up. Because if content won’t be added the game quickly, Sea of Thieves players will drop out one after another. Unfortunately, Sea of Thieves only scores 6.5 out of a possible 10 points at Cerealkillerz.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is definitely the most beautiful RPG of this year so far. The little details, the great side stories, every little npc and the wonderful animations also makes the second entry of the series an amazing experience. Even if the recruiting of people sometimes feel like a painful chore and the tactical parts of the gameplay doesn't always shine, the rest of the games features make you forget about it.

7.8 / 10.0 - Attack on Titan 2
Mar 16, 2018

Attack on Titan 2 is a good entry for newcomers. The cutscenes and animations are well made for this genre and also the controls are surprsingly good. Even Spider-Man would be jealous if he'd see someone flying around like this. There is still some variation missing and the enemy AI isn't the best. If you can live with that and are a fan of Warrior-Style Games you can get this without hesitation.

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life convinces with excellent storytelling while staying true to the Yakuza-formula which worked well in the past. While repetitive combat prevents it from being one of the greats, it is still a definite recommendation for action-adventure fans and players who enjoyed the previous titles in the franchise.
