9.2 / 10.0 - Mortal Kombat 1
Sep 14, 2023

Every aspect of Mortal Kombat 1 has been polished compared to previous games, with highly refined gameplay that also adds new depth. The title has a huge amount of content that guarantees a months of fun. Before finishing, I would like to make it clear that, if there is something, above all, that has to be highlighted, it is that regardless of the fact that the title does practically everything better than well, what stands out most is that Mortal Kombat 1 is fucking fun.

10 / 10.0 - Lies of P
Sep 13, 2023

Being the best soulslike ever created, Lies of P is an absolute masterpiece that excels in the totality of what is proposed. With a captivating and intelligent reinterpretation of the fable of Pinocchio, with magnificent and demanding combats where the design of the bosses and levels are splendid, with a sublime and oppressive atmosphere that falls in love with each step and with a monumental soundtrack that exponizes every sensation, no video game had ever captured the essence of FromSoftware with such feat and personality, thus becoming one of the best titles of 2023.

The exoskeleton of Aeterna Noctis solidifies a roguelite that, without a doubt, comes to reaffirm that the spanish videogame development industry is already of global quality. Despite essential limitations that take it away from greatness, Summum Aeterna boasts hundreds of hours of entertainment for those who are willing to be absorbed by its demanding universe, thus becoming a respectable representative of a genre full of titans.

9.9 / 10.0 - Baldur's Gate 3
Sep 2, 2023

Baldur's Gate 3 is everything you could wish for if you love Dungeons and Dragons or if you've ever wanted to play but, unfortunately, can't find a party to play with. The possibilities are practically endless, and although within logical conceptual limits as a video game, the experience proposed by Larian Studios is an incredibly replayable and unique. It is definitely an RPG experience as you will hardly find again on console.

10 / 10.0 - Starfield
Aug 31, 2023

Starfield is the best Bethesda game there's been in years. A work of infinite ambition that revisits the company's classic formula when making RPGs and transports a large part of its design to the depths of the cosmos. In terms of quality, Starfield is Bethesda's best title since Skyrim. It gives the feeling that it is the work that the studio had always dreamed of doing; a longing that has ended up transforming into the proposal of an overwhelming odyssey in which every old RPG fan can get lost to meet again.

Armored Core VI is a revolution in the mecha genre, a video game that manages to drink from everything FromSoftware has learned over this last decade of success strongly linked to Souls-like. This installment has truly challenging peaks at the level of difficulty, and that precisely enhances its great strength: the player's imagination to build a mecha that adapts to the circumstances.

8 / 10.0 - Fort Solis
Aug 22, 2023

Fort Solis highlights its enigmatic narrative that immerses you in an ever-evolving mystery. Through an episodic structure similar to a thriller series, you connect emotionally with the characters as you meticulously explore the Fort Solis base for clues. Although it lacks conventional action and stealth, its authentic atmosphere and strategic sound design will keep you immersed. However, technical issues in the PS5 version and its limited duration are aspects to consider. Fort Solis offers a unique and captivating narrative experience, though it requires patience and an open mind to appreciate its episodic approach.

For any metroidvania lover, this game is a must. It solves the shortcomings of the first delivery and multiplies the virtues of it. It practically does not fail in anything and hits in everything, being a cocktail of addictive gameplay, mysteries, discovery, exploration and high but compensated difficulty that has nothing to envy to several of the considered best metroidvania of all time.

8.5 / 10.0 - F1 23
Jun 13, 2023

F1 23 is one of those games that manage to make you love even more a genre that you already liked a lot, or that you even did not like. Few titles can boast of it, and that shows that this work is a real game within the genre of driving and simulation.

9.5 / 10.0 - Street Fighter 6
May 30, 2023

Street Fighter 6 is proof that we are facing the best Capcom of the decade. Shaping up as a before and after of the franchise, it is a game designed with obvious intentions to attract new people and, at the same time, preserve the incredible legacy that the veterans of the saga fell in love with in their day. It is the atonement for the ancient sins of a company that has known how to listen to its fans; it's a small step for Capcom, but a big step for the fighting game genre.

May 23, 2023

After Us is an adventure that entertains from start to finish and makes you stop and reflect on the serious consequences of climate change. It is a video game that transmits melancholy and beauty in equal parts that will not disappoint those looking for experiences "with soul" similar to Journey.

7.4 / 10.0 - Redfall
May 2, 2023

Redfall is an open-world game that retains some of the greatest virtues of Arkane's design, but is weighed down by certain issues related to the genre to which it belongs. Possibly it will be a game that becomes something much bigger in the future, but finishing it has left me with mixed feelings. Right now I feel that, despite its successes, what shines most about Redfall is the promise of what it could become... And I don't know if this ends up speaking well or badly of the game.

Resident Evil 4 Remake is the perfect representation of how to build the remake of a video game. Absolutely EVERYTHING of the Capcom classic has been recreated with an almost insane technique and taste, and especially those who enjoyed the original at the time will be able to marvel not only at what it is really a new generation video game, but a rebirth with all the law.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is the best return of one of the best games in the saga we could hope for. This platform game is perfect to play with family or friends, and has enough content to entertain for hours on end between its main adventure, the mingames and the coliseum mode. Like A Dragon: Ishin! it's like all Yakuza in a sense: it will blow you away for knowing how to combine a serious and solid narrative with completely absurd moments. On the other hand, it differs a LOT from other installments of the franchise, to the point that it becomes a video game that can be a great wink for the most familiar, or a very curious entry point for those who dive for the first time.
