Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is, in short, a masterpiece within the metroidvanias... and outside of them. Finesterra brings us one of the most memorable epics of the whole year, offering us a decadent universe as tragic as beautiful that perfectly adorns a precise, complex and fun gameplay. In short, an essential acquisition for fans of the genre, for non-followers of the genre and for anyone who wants to give a gift to themselves. Absolute recommendation.

Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection allows us to relive Ryu Hayabusa's story like never before, with a number of better techniques than the genre in which it is located are greatly appreciated. However, the scarcity of novelties in terms of controls cause the return of 'the ninja' not to occur as spectacularly as the figure would claim.

A fairly satisfying experience that immerses us fully in the world of programming without requiring hundreds of lines of code. It adapts perfectly to object-oriented programming, although with much simpler concepts achieved thanks to the 'nodon'. Without a doubt, a great stimulant for your imagination.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is, on the one hand, a sublime technical experience that makes perfect use of the benefits of PS5 to be the most next-gen thing I've played so far. But on the other hand, it is much more than a simple demonstration of power.

Biomutant is a game that mimics the proposals of The Witcher 3 or the recent Assassin's Creed, but with less budget. Despite having a truly interesting open world, Biomutant features flaws such as a wide variety of enemies, a repetitive combat system, an insubstantial progression, and poor narrative that make the game tedious in the long run. Less than 20 hours of duration and outstanding visuals keep the boat afloat and make the experience, as a whole, not memorable for better or worse.

"Miitopia" is an RPG that can be shallow. However, this title shines especially thanks to its protagonists: the Mii. That our character can lead a group of heroes in which there are also his friends, family or famous characters that he admires is a real enjoy. In addition, we also found it very interesting to be able to raise the level of affinity between the Mii, and how this affinity is reflected in the cooperation between characters in battles

After the seventh listed installment of the saga is responsible for renewing it in excellence, Resident Evil 8 Village arrives to fully refine the formula. As a continuation and as an independent title, Ethan Winters' last voyage is an exceptional work and, at the same time, loaths to be part of all the discussions about the best games of 2021 thanks to a proposal that combines nostalgia and novelty in perfectly equal parts.

Knockout City is a fun multiplayer video game that takes advantage of a well-designed playable section, and very accessible mechanics that work wonders. As it is a game as a service it is inevitable that doubt will arise whether it will be able to have enough personality to be considered a success, and even if the base is good and the developers have great plans for the future, there are certain superficial elements that deserve to be explored in greater depth.

"Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir & Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind" presents us with two excellent stories, full of mystery and excitement. In addition, the artistic section is very well maintained. The graphics look beautiful anime style, and both the melodies and the dubbing of the voices are a delight. This mix of three excellent elements (history, graphics and sound) make the game a very outstanding and recommended work. It is a real shame that it does not come translated into Spanish, as it will keep many players away from this jewel.

Returnal was not one of the most anticipated games by PS5 users, and it is because of this that it is a big surprise. Housemarque has carried out its most ambitious project and, although it has slight shortcomings, it is one of the games that until now best takes advantage of the features of dualSense, PS5 and that is a great must for any player fan of shooters or roguelikes.

It Takes Two takes a leap of quality from previous Hazelight works, abandoning the cinematic experience and betting more on a game converted into a toy. At the playable level it is an outstanding work: varied, surprising and fun from start to finish. However, a naive and superficial narrative that is not able to speak of love or relationships at any time lastra an experience that would otherwise have proved essential.

Bravely Default 2 is almost perfect; it's just troubled in a story with ups and downs that contains too much superfluous dialogue. The rest of the elements, including a perfectly translated text, outstanding: a careful gameplay to the millimeter and a pricey graphics. JRPG is a genre that suits Nintendo Switch

With Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, Falcom has re-created a really fun JRPG. In this installment of the saga, many novelties are added to make the playable experience even better than the previous one, and despite being weighed down by its graphics, this aspect does not become a barrier that prevents us from enjoying everything that the game has to offer.

This is one of the best platforms in history, and its expansion is by no means a minor content, since at some times it shines with more personality than the original title. In short, an indispensable pack has played the video game on Wii U or not, and one of the most essential works of your Nintendo Switch.

Tarsier Studios brings back Little nightmares II with a continuing bet but capable of being surprising. A much improved narrative section, exquisite gameplay and outstanding design form an experience that is only tarnished by the introduction to force of a combat system that does not fit.

Control Ultimate Edition in new generation is almost another game: being able to play 1440p and 60fps in a game that is technically a blast is a real marvel. Added to this is how you take advantage of DualSense features, new console SSDs, and more PS5 features, making immersion brutal. Of course, we must not forget the excellent gameplay and background that already had Base Control, even if it had its obvious shortcomings.
