Aven Colony is a good city builder. The overall experience is great and has a tendency to make us addicted. Its accessibility, its huge quantity of statistics and buildings allow the title to shine in a kind of games which has been already seen many times. The only problem is the lack of challenge that could scare the most skilled gamers, when you look at the lifetime of the campaign mode. However, Aven Colony has many qualities and a good potential. To try it is simply to adopt it.

Focusing his game on the psychosis of his heroine and his gameplay mechanics on it was a risky bet but won hands down. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a masterstroke for its storytelling, atmosphere, artistic direction and the care taken on the subject of mental illness and on Senua.

Monster Hunter Stories is a good spin-off which fits in the Monster Hunter's universe. The game is quite different, but the player find his marks easily. Nevertheless the game is, first of all, intended for a young audience who wants to master the different aspects of the serie. However, you can have a good time waiting for Monster Hunter World.

Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana is THE Japanese RPG of this end of summer on the PS4. It brings some new features to the series, two unique adventures, a big playground without denying what makes what Ys is. We'd like having a better general achievement and french translation to get an almost-perfect game. But those who like the genre have no reason to stay away from the game, which is a nice present for the 30th anniversary of the series.

Everything we have seen since the announcement of this 2018's edition, is in the final version which will release this week. Konami has always mastered the graphic aspect of his title and really improves the technical part, although the management of contacts between players needs to be improved. Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 marks the beginning of a new era for the franchise, and we hope that Konami will be more reactive to transfers and that the atmosphere will improve in the future. Let it be said, the title is not here to play as an extra, but wants to make an impression with a long awaited revolution. PES 2018 restores the franchise's reputation.

Sparc is a good game with a simple concept that works pretty well, which enters into another dimension in VR. Unfortunately, the lack of content, online or offline, mess the whole thing. Why didn't they include tournaments ? Why do we have to watch others guys playing before getting in a game ? So many things which limit this title. We hope that CCP Games will make the things right for the launch of Sparc on the others VR headsets. If you're thinking about short term, you can give it a try !

Codemasters succeeds in doing better this year with a game which almost improves on all levels. The redesign of R&D through the integration of a huge tree of competence justifies many hours of play, while the addition of historical cars will fulfill the expectations of many fans. However, with all this great work on one side, it is disapointing to see such old graphics on the other side. Nevertheless, F1 2017 is an excellent game close to perfection, which will keep you in front of your TV until the next edition.

Will Marvel vs Capcom Infinite be the bad student who will be laughed at for hours? No. Yes, developers have simplified things to make it more accessible than before, but at least they have never lied about their intentions. It is undeniable that it is easier to play, especially by the presence of "Super" almost automated, but this episode has still things to offer if you want to dig a little more. Indeed, The Stones of Infinity bring the game to another level, offering a more strategic side. Unfortunately, the graphics are a bit disapointing, especially with the competition which can be tough at this level. A good game to enjoy your evenings with your friends, failing to convince the most demanding players.

If, on paper, Warriors All Stars shows beautiful promises, we have to admit that the game is finally in an average position. Yes, some elements are eye-catching like evolving with the different licenses of Koei Tecmo. But, as a whole, the title has issues like a sometimes badly dosed difficulty, endless paths in the labyrinth of maps of battles without bringing great novelties. But, being able to embody Lu Bu, William or Kasumi out of their licenses remains really attractive.

DanganRonpa V3 is a great visual novel, but doesn't renew its formula. The fans of the series will be delighted. Finding the sadistic bear again with its children along is always a pleasure, especially since the game has numerous new developments in its scenario. We would have liked a slightly better general direction for the PS4, and a french translation with less mistakes and above all, no annoying glitches for now. However, we hope that they will be corrected when the game will be released in stores.

Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is the ultimate version of Yo-kai Watch 2. Despite the fact that the 3DS will still get new opus from the license, this one is probably the most complete released in Europe. The players who already have Fleshy Souls or Bony Spirits will only have a few novelties. As qualitative as these novelties can be, this can make people hesitate to buy the game at a high price, especially since the arrival of version 2.0. On the other hand, those who have not purchased the game since its release last spring can buy it without hesitation.

Undoubtedly singular, Cuphead is a game as beautiful as it is ruthless. But behind this difficulty that will necessarily leave some players by the wayside, the title of Studio MDHR is not unfair and offers as much satisfaction as it requires requirement. A true love letter to the cartoons of the 30s, from Walt Disney to Hanna barbera, Cuphead has all the characteristics of a masterpiece that is just asking to be tamed to express what it has most beautiful to offer. It is a success.

A true tribute episode of a video game monument, Super Mario Odyssey collects the superlatives that make him, somewhere, the most accomplished episode of the saga.

Etrian Odyssey V': Beyond the Myth clearly is for those who know the series well. However, they may be still confused, due to a very high difficulty along the game, even more than in the previous episodes. But the interest is still there, with new classes, and some welcome new features in game. Plus, the game will reward with its richness the most relentless players, but it may also leave the beginners behind.

If Nights of Azure could have been a promising franchise, Gust didn't succeed in making a good use of it with this second game. Despite a few improvements, Bride of the New Moon is technically and narratively too weak to outperform his predecessor. Only its casting, while too clich' and hyper-sexualized, raises the bar and offers a few cute moments. In itself, Nights of Azure 2 isn't a chaotic game and JRPG fans will most likely enjoy it.

With Rompancin SaGa 2, Square Enix allows us to rediscover a game from a not well-known series in these parts of the world. It offers a certain originality and some principles not very seen in the a japanese role-playing game, for example an almost total freedom, but, in the other hand, it makes the game not be accessible and not easy, addressing the game to the hardcore gamers. Both complete and complex, we would however have preferered the game being more than just a transposition from the smartphone version sold at a higher price.

Monster Hunter World doesn't revolutionize the genre, but improves it anyway. Indeed, apart from loading times that can sometimes seem long and some graphic bugs, the game has improved a formula that has always worked. If some changes may disappoint long-time fans, the game remains accessible to everyone. Rethink a game is never an easy thing, but Capcom has succeeded. As epic as it is beautiful, Monster Hunter World is a must-have of the saga.

Twelve years after its initial release, Shadow of the Colossus now has the realization it deserves. The title is sublimated here. Bluepoint has done a goldsmith's job to arrive at such a graphic redesign without touching an iota of the original story.
