Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is a successful, generous title with more detailed gameplay than you might think.

14 / 20 - Omno
Aug 7, 2021

Being developed by only one person, Omno is a real artistic feat. More than its vibes that strongly recall Journey, the title seduces with its singular universe, its beautiful environments and its creatures with an inspired design. An artistic success, unfortunately marred by technical worries and collisions that tarnish the experience and single a rhythm that could have been ideal.

15 / 20 - Chernobylite
Aug 1, 2021

Chernobylite is a complete game that comes in different aspects of gameplay and still offers good value for money. If the tactical part with management of the base and companions is pleasant, as is the infiltration, the fights are nevertheless somewhat behind, especially because of the very dark graphics making it difficult to locate the enemies. The latter are however well detailed and participate in the successful atmosphere of the app, enhanced by the soundtrack.

Spellcaster University is refreshing with some very good ideas. The game, which mixes deckbuilding with management, all under a layer of light fantasy, is very catchy and can be played on long sessions of 3-4 hours as much as in "aperitif game" of a few minutes when you want to have fun.

19 / 20 - Death's Door
Jul 29, 2021

Death's Door is a game of rare excellence. We are caught in it instantly thanks to its singular graphic paw and its first lines of dialogue that set the tone. Acid Nerve signs here a title with gameplay perhaps too simplistic on paper, but perfectly oiled, which also offers nervous and demanding fights, especially boss fights.

14 / 20 - ForeVR Bowl
Jul 28, 2021

With its fun atmosphere and occasional soundtrack, ForeVR Bowl is a pleasant bowling simulator. Its accuracy is certainly not perfect, and it is very difficult to give effect to a ball whose weight is not felt, but its detailed environments with different oiling parameters available and its well-styled balls with neat special effects compensate for this shortcoming.

In the genre, it has been years since such a "confidential" puzzle/adventure game (4 people) had not been so blown away by its script and its mastery of the narrative. Even if the branches are not infinite and the lifespan is ultimately quite limited, the game questions as much as it fascinates.

NEO: The World Ends With You remains in the mind of its elder. It offers an updated formula of the base game, new heroes and an even more exciting story. The system has been revised to be less frustrating.

13 / 20 - Black Skylands
Jul 22, 2021

With a scenario that is too anecdotal, Black Skylands could however have been a very pleasant sandbox experience. Unfortunately its gameplay loop does not renew itself enough and the exploration of its open world does not bring the satisfaction that could allow you to get lost for long hours.

17 / 20 - Ragnarock
Jul 18, 2021

With his proposal taking precedence over the swaying and electronic music of his competitors, Ragnaröck succeeds in his bet to impose himself on the vr rhythm games scene.

FF7 Intergrade is a good way for neophytes to discover this remake on PS5. Visually very clean and in constant 60fps, we feel that a background work has been done to prepare the future part 2 on the Sony console. However, it is clear that the INTERmission DLC does not allow you to learn much more about the newly set up story in the first part.

Ender Lilies is undoubtedly a very good Metroidvania. Carried by a sublime OST and a high-flying artistic direction, the app makes practically a faultless at all levels.

12 / 20 - Boomerang X
Jul 8, 2021

Boomerang X, like Disc Room for example - another Devolver Digial prod -, arrives with a simple, unexplored and functional concept. Crossing arenas with a grappling hook and the ability to slow down time to decimate the population even proves fun and challenging, especially when the skill engage depends on your kills. Unfortunately, this is at the cost of an imprecision when you have to go to chop life or fight the final boss, and a repetitiveness in the structure of the game.

14 / 20 - Legend of Mana
Jul 7, 2021

Legend of Mana returns twenty years after its initial release, without much having really changed for those who had the chance to try it at the time We have a game still as beautiful now adapted to current standards, an immediate grip and beautiful music. In addition, this is the first time it has been released in Europe. Too bad, however, that the absence of a real scenario is felt, as well as some features that today smell of dust.

13 / 20 - Phantom Abyss
Jul 3, 2021

Phantom Abyss offers an original experience, tinged with platform and roguelite, in a colorful "Indiana Jonesque" atmosphere but a flemmarde hair. The result is rather convincing at the moment and the asynchronous multiplayer adds a real little added value.

13 / 20 - We Are Football
Jul 2, 2021

The mistake not to make when testing this game (and you, playing it), is to consider that it is worse than the competition because it has no license. In reality, it is different, because it proposes an approach based entirely on strategy and the ground, freeing itself from any realistic considerations.

Tainted by minimalist and overly repetitive gameplay, Minute of Islands is a gloomy, colorful and beautiful painting at the same time that stands out only for its pencil stroke.
