If you are someone that never played L.A. Noire back in 2011, then you shouldn't miss this remastered version of Rockstar Games' detective storytelling adventure. With the choice to play it on the go with fun Nintendo Switch gameplay mechanics, or see it with upgraded textures and up to 4K resolutions on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, it would be a shame for any player to miss this iconic game... Now can we please have a remastered Bully, pretty please?

8.5 / 10.0 - Demon Gaze II
Dec 2, 2017

Demon Gaze II is like a penitent student that carefully notes all the mistakes its predecessor made and avoids them altogether. It’s still got a lot of the typical issues that jRPGs face, but it’s done a great job of cutting past those shortcomings and delivering a tight, focused action RPG

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is the kind of sequel that ups the ante on its predecessor’s brutal monster hunting and creates a smooth, fluid multiplayer hack’n’slash. It can still adjust some balancing issues and maybe tweak the challenge, but it’s a great way to team up with some friends and unleash hell

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire manages to tell an exciting tale in a totally new setting, and it takes some fun new chances with the fantasy genre. It learns many lessons from its predecessors, and it’s more accessible to casual fans, but this is still very much a cRPG, so expect to bust out your reading glasses.

Jun 12, 2018

Onrush is a fast arcade racing game, which will have enough to please fans if it continuously offers free content and a solid ranked mode. There are some bugs that taint the picture, but they are acceptable, and hopefully, future patches will correct them and evolve the game so that we can continue to ride for a long time.

Now available on the Nintendo Switch, The Banner Saga 2 retains the excellent foundation of its predecessor without any major upgrade of the formula, but that's not a bad thing. Fans of the series should not skip this, and it's a definitively needed chapter before the upcoming end of the trilogy.

Lawbreakers has some rough edges and it’s had a bit of a bumpy launch, but under the issues is a really solid arena FPS that has wacky, chaotic, and fun moments. It could use more players and some tweaking, but it has the makings of an FPS classic.

Torment: Tides of Numenera lives up to the Torment name by crafting a deep, engrossing quest that takes you into a strange world where you come to grips with fate, life, death and everything in between. It’s got a ton of dialogue to read through but you’ll be turning the figurative pages before long, and the story has some truly jaw-dropping moments. A modern classic.
