Xenoblade Chronicles 2 sets a tremendously high bar for the genre.

It really isn't all that bad, but there's much better to play and a great JRPG is never too far away.

Even though Tokyo Xanadu borrows heavily from the Persona series, it still has enough personality in it to be wholeheartedly entertaining. While not as deep and brooding as the evident source material, Tokyo Xanadu still managed to be a surprisingly enjoyable experience. The enormous cast of characters with rich side stories made the world feel bustling with life, while the real-time twitch battles meant combat had more staying power than if it went the typical turn-based approach. Tokyo Xanadu might not be the most innovative title out there, but it manages to blend its ideas well enough that every JRPG fan should at least give it a try.

With just a few minor annoyances aside, Yomawari: Midnight Shadows is another solid horror title from Nippon Ichi. It will be interesting to see where the series is headed, as there is so much space for it to grow and develop.

A short but sweet game that's worth checking out if you want an otome fix.

It will take you about a couple of hours to beat the main story, and after that it is up to you whether you want to hone your skills and try to beat the storyline on the S rank and to try and beat the boss stages. Overall, Raiden V is a welcome addition to the series, but it doesn't add much new to the table. It is fairly beginner friendly and can be enjoyed by the veterans alike, but generally, it lacks in additional content to make it stand out from other shoot-em-ups on the market.

A rich, thrilling adventure with memorable characters and a complex, mesmerising narrative.

If you like retro games like Virtual-On and you like collecting Touhou doujin titles, in general, this might be up your alley. Touhou Gensou Rondo: Bullet Ballet is recommended if you specifically want an arena fighter with Touhou characters. Overall Touhou Kobuto V just doesn't offer enough content to have staying power, but can be enjoyed for what it is.

While Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online feels like a technical improvement in many areas from its shiny visuals and real-time gameplay I can't but help feel it's more like two steps forward one step back.

Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash is an entertaining spinoff which tries something totally new. Its accessible gameplay and the overwhelming customization options can have you glued to the screen for hours. With that said, even after going through just a couple of matches the novelty quickly wears thin, meaning the game might not have as much replay value as it initially seemed. If you are a fan of the series or are just looking for some quick and dirty fun on the beach, Peach Beach Splash should be enough to satisfy your appetite.

Almost every aspect of Rabi-Ribi is unbelievably polished. The developers are still working hard adding new content with updates even a year after its original release. While it is a shame that both the PS4 and Vita versions are little more than ports, the games are priced at an affordable £24.99 and £15.99 respectively. Rabi-Ribi is a refreshing gem in today's market and is a must buy for all owners of these systems.
