Music Drive: Chase the Beat is a Brazilian game full of good intentions, with a great soundtrack and impressive references to give substance to a simple, yet interesting and creative idea. However, despite being short, it is a game that offers very little gameplay variation, has trouble finding a personality that is coherent with the theme and lacks greater care to reach its full potential.

Ruffy and the Riverside is one of those pleasant surprises that charms with its simplicity and fun thanks to the SWAP mechanic. A game that draws a lot of attention for its beautiful art direction and that, despite drawing from the sources of Paper Mario, Banjo-Kazooie and other great names in the genre, doesn't live in their shadow. Quite the opposite, Ruffy is a game full of soul that rescues the essence of good old platform titles.

Among so many roguelites released in recent years, Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade ends up being just another one in the crowd. Its visuals and, mainly, its fun gameplay are the highlights, but not enough to make it a memorable game. Repetition, which is usually an ally of the genre, acts as a villain here, wearing down the experience and making the game recommended only for big roguelite fans.

Star Overdrive's large and sprawling open world could have been its biggest problem, but thanks to a delightful and fun movement system, it turned out to be one of its biggest differentiators compared to other experiences in the genre. With its intriguing puzzles, leisurely combat, powerful emerging narrative, and beautiful visuals, it's an easy recommendation for all kinds of players, especially those who aren't in such a hurry to be dazzled.

Chronicles of the Wolf is a magnificent spiritual successor to the Castlevanias that followed the metroidvania structure. This game continually surprised me with the depth of its exploration, which is both challenging and intuitive. The retro feel of the experience may end up intimidating to some audiences, but if you enjoy side-scrolling action platformers in general don't let this rich and dark adventure pass you by.

Gex Trilogy brings back three moderately sucessful games from decades ago as part of a preservation iniatiative from Limited Run Games. The Carbon Engine introduces new features which make the games a more pleasant experience overall, but the games on their own will hardly appeal to players who don't already have a nostalgic connection to them.

The best thing about Disney Illusion Island Starring Mickey and Friends is, firstly, the cooperative multiplayer for up to four people and, secondly, the fluidity of the character movements and animations, two factors that partly compensate for the lack of combat and the simplicity of the level design. However, the unambitious production and the lack of use of Disney characters still make it clear that this is a metroidvania that, even if it is fun to play in a group and bears the name of a big brand, was not made to be memorable.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn is a straightforward expansion that offers few new mechanics to the base game. But due to the new region and the intriguing narrative sequence, it's a great excuse to return to the game and remember why it's so much fun to play for hours, whether alone or with others.
