Kyle Thompson gets it right once again and makes Crypt Custodian his best metroidvania, easy to recommend. In this world from above, we have a vast and interconnected map, exciting bosses to defeat, more than 100 collectibles to find, and a story of captivating lightness and simplicity. On top of that, Pluto's adventure in the afterlife is an example to be followed in quality of life features that value the experience of those who play.

WitchSpring R is a great game. It's quite light and accessible, without a very striking story but delivering a very fun and challenging gameplay loop that will hook the player for dozens of hours.

DOOM + DOOM II is a complete package, offering the definitive experience of the two eternal classics. But, in general, they are still the same games we have known for more than 30 years, with some extra campaigns.

Phantom Spark is a great racing game for taking times that seek to get closer to perfection, using precise controls and well-designed layouts to challenge the most dedicated players. However, with few game modes, uninspired multiplayer and artistic minimalism, it does little for those looking for something other than constant repetition in search of the impossible thousandth.

Although Dustborn has dubious combat and some technical problems, the game has an excellent and flashy plot, a fact that will make you stay tuned until the last chapter of the story.

Deathbound offers some interesting ideas for soulslikes. However, design and technical issues prevent it from reaching a more prominent place in a genre where these concepts are key to determining what is really good.

Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery keeps the series smooth fun. If it were a DLC rather than a standalone game, it would make HTT2 a whole greater than the sum of its parts by building on and augmenting everything we've seen in Myths & Magic in Architect mode and its online creations. In this way, however, we only have the strangeness of seeing a sequence separated into two isolated parts that, even though they are good in themselves, divide forces instead of adding them.

With improved visuals and subtle gameplay changes, Cat Quest III maintains its strengths and improves the series in almost everything except the narrative. It's a solo or cooperative pirate adventure that doesn't extend beyond what is necessary and isn't afraid to be cute, silly and humorous, being a guarantee of fun for those who like the series and inviting for newcomers.

For those who like to be challenged to improve more and more and have that fixation on the cyberpunk theme, Eden Genesis has everything to please a lot. Fast, provocative and demanding, it can be too harsh with those who expect just another conventional platform game, but very rewarding for those who embark on its proposal.

Thank Goodness You’re Here! It's a charming game with a fun aesthetic and approach, but the lack of a map and short length may limit the experience for some people. The title has a unique style and elements of humor, and because it is light and unusual, it delivers good times to players looking for entertainment. There are areas, however, that could be improved for a more satisfying and long-lasting experience.

MARS 2120 has the potential for a good game and even succeeds in visuals and tool versatility, but execution problems and an early-looking release prevent it, in its current state, from reaching the average in a medium as prolific as today's metroidvanias.

Closer the Distance is a good narrative game that simulates themes of our daily lives through a heavy emotional component, as well as a somewhat confusing character management system that can result in the loss of important moments in the story.

Bounty Hunter rescues the spirit of Star Wars by putting us in the shoes of one of the most famous bounty hunters in the saga. Despite having problems from the original 2002 release, the game is still fun, with moments of action governed by the magnificent soundtrack of the films along with an interesting story. The remaster gets it right not only in the visual aspects but also in the quality of life improvements, in addition to making the game accessible to several generations. A full plate for those who want to get away from the Jedi vs Sith cliché or just enjoy a good game of the saga.
