Super Mega Baseball 4 reminds us of the games we used to play growing up. The gameplay has the perfect balance between arcade and simulation. While we recommend SMB4 to any sports gaming fan, we think the younger generation will get the most out of it.
Overall, MLB The Show 19 is nearly perfect with the vision that San Diego Studios had. If they just made something different in Franchise mode, then it would be a true masterpiece. Even then this is still the best baseball game to date.
MyTeam and MyPlayer have never been better, and the changes to the dribbling and foot planting has caused offense to be fun while not being mindless like the year of the blow by was. If we are officially though the weeds as far as all the issues go, the game can stand on its own as one of the best in the series; if not we are in for a long year.
Gran Turismo Sport certainly delivers in terms of pure simulation racing gameplay and overall experience. I feel some aspects of the Scapes mode such as creating a quick capture and neat image could be less confusing. Nonetheless, GT Sport is certainly at the top of the mountain when it comes to racing simulation.
Catering to both the casual and simulation golfer, Everybody's Golf strikes a nice balance of fun and challenge. There are plenty of things to keep you busy and the game is especially fun in couch co-op with friends. If you don't mind the arcade graphics and presentation, Everybody's Golf is sure to bring hours of fun and is a worthy successor to Hot Shots in every way.
With fun on-field action, excellent visuals and a number of modes to choose from, Mutant Football League is the best arcade football game since NFL Street 2.
MotoGP 20 once again proves why Milestone is at the forefront of motorcycle racing titles.
In a nutshell, Burnout Paradise Remastered is just that, a remastered version of a series favorite. It has a little bit of something for everyone including fast paced races and miles worth of mayhem. The graphics are a huge improvement, the controls are intuitive and the cars handle great. Criterion nailed this remaster.
Franchise Hockey Manager 3 isn't a game for everyone. If you're someone who's more into the on-ice action as opposed to the management – no pun intended – then this may not be what you want to play. That being said, those who are already fans of the franchise or want to know more about what a management sim is like need to look no further than Franchise Hockey Manager 3.
The Golf Club 2 comes out swinging to show they took feedback from the first installment, and improves on every aspect of the original. From the customization options to the stellar game of golf on the course, The Golf Club 2 is a near perfect simulation golf game. The only thing keeping it from being the best ever are a few technical hiccups and a dry presentation offering.
All in all, PES 2018 is a very good game. It has less of a wow-factor than the competition, but it scores with realistic gameplay, solid game modes, and a good presentation. PES is not a perfect game and the great gameplay is a bit flawed by the excessive flamboyance of the players, but the overall feel of the title won't make you regret the dollars spent.
I'm going to pour hours upon hours into FIFA 18, and I'll have a blast the whole way, and that's really all that I could ask for.
If you haven't played the series since FHM 1 or 2, it's sure to blow you away. If you were big into the last edition then you may not find a lot different with this year's release aside from the Vegas addition, matchup screen, and some of the minor changes. It's just as deep as ever, but FHM 4 leaves you with a feeling of wanting more.
I still recommend PES 2019 to anyone who is a fan of "The beautiful game" even if your favorite club is not licensed in the game this year.
It's not without its flaws, but NHL 19 is finally a game that any hockey fan would be better off picking up than skipping.
If the idea of being a General Manager and/or Head Coach with an incredible smorgasbord of options and features to run a team, you'll want this simulator.
The Gear Club Unlimited series could be a top-level racer and dominate that scene on the Switch for years to come. But until they find a way to make it feel more than a large-scale mobile game, it’s impossible to recommend to anyone who isn’t desperate for a handheld racer not named Mario Kart.
Dirt Rally 2.0 not only looks incredible, but it feels like you are behind the wheel of a real rally car. If rally racing is your thing, then look no further than this game.
Simply put, I like it. WRC 9 is a fine additional to franchise. Nacon brought passion and care into the project and it shows. Simulation racing is at its finest and there’s plenty game modes to go around.
Monster Energy Supercross 4 is a good game with plenty of depth, but there are just a few things keeping it from being a top-level racing experience.
