8.5 / 10.0 - Forza Horizon 4
Sep 25, 2018

Forza Horizon 4 introduces pretty much zero revolutionary changes and the veterans won't find anything genuinely new here. At the same time, though, it has so many perfectly realized features that the competition (The Crew & Need for Speed) are left far behind in the dust.

The Bard's Tale IV isn't a game for everyone. Brian Fargo's new production is very old-school, but not archaic or outdated. It respects its heritage and the genre's rules. Still, the fans of modern RPGs could be unimpressed if they don't keep their expectations in check.

Battle for Azeroth plays it safe, but that's ultimately its advantage. The true war will come and I'll be waiting impatiently. This expansion has a ton of potential that is still to be realized. And I'm sure Blizzard will do just that.

7 / 10.0 - Graveyard Keeper
Sep 11, 2018

The overall quality of Graveyard Keeper is satisfactory. Of the 50 hours of gameplay, 40 were really cool; all this morbid fun was really interesting, even if the game could use some polish and a better balance.

All new Tomb Raider games were good, but Shadow of the Tomb Raider – despite some flaws – is the best of them all. It's the most balanced game in the series, with all the things Croft’s fans hanker for (with emphasis on fantastic exploration).

The new Spider-Man is worth your time and money – the storyline, exploration and tons of easter eggs provide loads of fun. This is possibly the best game for PS4 after God of War, and while Spider-Man is not quite up there with Kratos, "slightly worse than GoW" is still a huge compliment.

Fans of the original Theme Hospital will find a worthy successor to the old strategy with pretty graphics and some very important tweaks but without drastic changes to the formula. However, the clunky mechanics and too much micromanagement could discourage new players.

6.5 / 10.0 - We Happy Few
Aug 19, 2018

We Happy Few Has such a cool atmosphere, interesting world and clever story that is can easily be considered “an heir to BioShock”. In that case why did the developers opt to fill the game with tons of ludicrous content and made the player chase butterflies for dozens of hours? The world should be smaller, the gameplay better and the game shorter. A bit of a letdown.

It's not the worst console port I have seen, but it surely isn't the best one. The only real flaw of the PC version of Monster Hunter World is the buggy multiplayer mode. Everything else works just fine and deserves some attention – after all, this is one of the most captivating adventures in the virtual world ever.

7 / 10.0 - Phantom Doctrine
Aug 16, 2018

Phantom Doctrine will pull you in so hard you won't even notice when the night has gone by. It provides lots of fun thanks to some cool ideas and good implementation, but at the same time, it can also be very frustrating. If not for the cheating AI, we would have been taking about a truly wonderful game.

The creators of This is the Police 2 were not able to dismantle the gameplay routine of police chief's everyday work. The game's new feature – tactical missions – is well-made and really fun but this feeling ends very quick. You can't save your game during these missions which is very frustrating. Still, the story is great and the fans of the previous game will be happy.

7.5 / 10.0 - The Crew 2
Jul 2, 2018

The Crew 2 is a whisker away from being a great game. You can spend an entire afternoon just enjoying the cars and driving without a specific purpose, while taking in some of the marvelous views, and it feels really good. However, the major downsides – ubiquitous copy-pasting and a rather scanty number of genuine innovations – don't allow me to recommend this game to absolutely everyone; not just yet.

In the world of computer games, licensed products are rarely very successful. Hence we should be all the more grateful for Jurassic World Evolution and the level of quality in delivers. The creators of Planet Coaster have created an interesting, atmospheric and challenging game taht looks and sounds gorgeous. Behold, ladies and gentlemen! Here comes one of the best strategy games of 2018.

6 / 10.0 - Vampyr
Jun 5, 2018

Vampyre's issues lie deep within the core gameplay design. DONTNOD shouldn't have attempted making an RPG. Vampyr would have been much better off as a shorter, adventure or action-adventure production such as Remember Me. It's a great shame that this exquisite artistic vision and superb atmosphere were in the end squandered.

5 / 10.0 - Agony
May 31, 2018

The vision of hell introduced in Agony rivals the excellent final level of Painkiller. Unfortunately the game set in this wonderfully warped world isn’t very interesting. For each upside there's at least one serious shortcoming. This controversial and ambitious game turned out to be dull and rather boring.

May 24, 2018

Learning the story of Kara, Connor and Markus in Detroit: Become Human was a pleasant and engaging affair. I really grew fond of the heroes and I pondered over every decision. Quantic Dream's new game is a really good interactive movie, and the degree of non-linearity is amazing. It's a pity that the story itself is totally bland, obvious and downright disappointing; the characters are flat and cliché, and the game doesn't deliver any meaningful message – it's almost baffling how the authors could have missed such an opportunity to make a statement.

7 / 10.0 - Ancestors Legacy
May 22, 2018

Ancestors: Legacy is a strategy game full of technical issues that can totally spoil the whole experience. And yet, Destructive Creations managed to to create an interesting and fun game that's not notorious for being forcibly edgy and controversial. It is simply a good, middle-of-the-road game that offers a reasonable amount of fun.

7 / 10.0 - State of Decay 2
May 17, 2018

State of Decay 2 has a dozen of bugs, a boring start, bad optimization and a repetitive gameplay. Against all odds, the gameplay offered by the game sucked me into the world of Zombie apocalypse and I want to play it more and more. It has this "spark" that makes you keep playing the game – a cool atmosphere, satisfying combat and sense of accomplishment that comes from every performed action. It is a Zombie-Survival-Gothic.

7 / 10.0 - Conan Exiles
May 15, 2018

I had a lot of fun while playing Conan Exiles, despite the fact that playing MMO game in solo mode makes almost no sense and that you have to join a clan pretty quickly. Even though it doesn't offer anything new nor it is better than the competition, it is still a good game. Really!

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire mixes some classic epicness from Baldur’s Gate 2 with freedom of exploration from Fallout, and still offers a modern and surprising story and a great set of characters. Pretty much every element of the game has been improved. All hail the new king of classic RPGs!
