PowerUp!'s Reviews
Like A Dragon: Ishin! is everything you want it to be and more. Fans won't want to miss this one.
Wild Hearts is a game made for a very specific audience and one that I’m not part of.
Hogwarts Legacy is an ambitious triumph.
In the moment-to-moment gameplay, it literally feels identical, but that's because it is. Anything new in Dead Space doesn't enhance the experience, it detracts from it. So, we're left with a worse version of a game that looks vastly superior.
Overall, there is very little in Forspoken worth mentioning. Seemingly a product without any clear direction and with any and every idea allowed to be added, Forspoken is a muddled, boring, toneless mess.
Knights of Honor II: Sovereign is a solid entry in the grand-strategy genre. The historical accuracy of the game is impressive, but flexible customisation options allow for plenty of replayability.
If you were hoping this would be the second coming of Dead Space, you’ll need to wait for next year’s remake.
If you’re a Marvel fan, a strategy game fan or just interested in a huge, broad and deep game, look no further.
This sequel raises the baa, but I just wish the silliness was a bit more stable.
Pentiment is an absolute must-play game.
Smash open every jar in your vicinity and gather some Hacksilver together. God of War Ragnarok is an essential purchase.
Basically, Gotham Knights got pushed out of the belfry when it was only barely, kinda, sorta ready to fly.
Not everyone is going to be a fan of the changes and I'm certain many fans will be incensed with the way Blizzard has monetised Overwatch 2 but I'm also certain those some fans will be booting up the game on day one and playing until their eyeballs bleed. Overwatch is back and it's better than ever.
Part I is like the in-game axe upgraded with a roll of tape and a pair of scissors. Obviously, the original item was massively bloody capable already—of near perfect design in form and function. Even still, this thing has now somehow become waaay sharper than any sane person could have imagined. Give it even half a chance to get a piece of you, and it’s gonna cut deep.
Saints Row is bananas.
Tiny Tinas Wonderlands is a love letter to pen & paper RPGs...with guns and is an absolute winner
There’s a great game just beneath the surface in Ghostwire: Tokyo obscured and pained by the pretty good one layered on top. Not too dissimilar to the men that lead it, the game is flawed and prone to mistakes that drive away affection it rightfully deserves. But it’s trying and in the end, that’s all that really matters.
Push through the desire to cringe in its face and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin delights with gauche earnestness and one of the most rewarding action combat loops on the market.
There's a tonne of great stuff to see and do in Dawn of Ragnarök and just by existing it gives me hope for the future of Assassin's Creed. If Ubisoft continues to be willing to throw the rulebook out and experiment with the IP, we're in for some very good times indeed.
Gran Turismo 7 is a triple threat: it's one of the best sounding, most luscious-looking and phenomenal feeling racers I've ever played in my life
