As someone unlikely to play most of these courses in real-life, I relish the chance to visit them in video-game form. From driving off the tee, reading the green, and everything in between, this title offers a lot in spite of itself. If you're someone who enjoys golf sims, please don't let some careless glitches prevent you from checking out PGA Tour 2K21 on the Nintendo Switch. With practice, even a real-life duffer like myself can rack up his share of eagles.
Despite the usual tropes of twin-stick shooters, RogueCube is a brief but neat little distraction with a fun weapon selection mechanic that's best played with a group of friends.
Dex lacks in some areas, but I think the overall experience was pretty enjoyable. Being able to make your own choices and have different outcomes adds a lot of replay value. (Not a game for kids)
Although it wears its inspirations on its sleeve, you needn't have knowledge of point-and-click adventure classics to enjoy Darkestville Castle. The jokes are fine, the characters are fun, and the puzzles are comfortably illogical. Enjoy your visit.
Unfortunately, Prehistoric Dude's problems aren't minor. Lots of annoyances add up to make this a small game that I disliked. It has a real need for additional polish.
Ultra Foodmess is easy to play and enjoy. However, its limited features might mean that it's only fun for a limited time.
A Short Hike is a game the whole family can love. It's an homage to classics while still very much it's own release. There is much to explore, fun characters to interact with, and the entirety of the title just had me smiling. Carve out a couple of hours in your day, curl up with some 'Strawberries and Toast,' and give A Short Hike a play. You won't regret it.
Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is an incredible action platformer with stunning animation and action that more than lives up to the reputation of the series.
That about wraps this investigation, Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived is no longer a suspect to being a bad game. Multiple levels of difficulty allow for multiple playthroughs. The Visual Novel is interesting enough for players who just want the story, while the other two difficulties add a bit of twists and turns to the already enjoyable game. Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived certainly is with the asking price of $12.99.
If the idea of a future with cyborgs and robots battling each other interests you, and you don't mind a bit of a learning curve, then Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is probably for you. There were times where battles felt long and drawn out and even a bit slow. A few times, battles felt overwhelmingly difficult. Fans of the Warhammer series may have a better understanding and experience with the game. Overall it was a fun playthrough and should definitely be considered for your next strategy game.
While I'm certainly hoping to see further Neo Geo Pocket Color games eventually come to the Nintendo Switch, maybe pick from a different genre for the next release. KING OF FIGHTERS R-2 is still decent for what it is, but only big fans of 2D fighters need to experience it on the Switch.
Germs is a enjoyable with a few players in short bursts. The user interface is well-designed and there are plenty of options, plus its just plain fun being a cute germ battling in a body for supremacy. On the downside, there's just not enough to entertain you for long periods, and the lack of a dedicated single-player experience is unfortunate.
Linn: Path of Orchards is a creative puzzle game with a beautiful fantasy setting and a unique approach to keeping you engaged with each level.
Helheim Hassle is a genuinely funny game with a dark sense of humour that holds up throughout a series of creative and silly puzzles.
Nicole looks good as a visual novel and dating sim. As for its gameplay and overall story, it falls a bit flat.
Despite an oddly placed bullet hell section and a story that takes a couple of playthroughs to fully grasp, Need a Packet is a fun game with a simple gameplay loop. Mix that in with the eerily fun graphics, this is a truly interesting addition to your Switch library.
Faeria is a thoroughly enjoyable strategic card battler that's consistently fun to play. This multifaceted game feels like one you can play for the next few years and not get weary of it.
There are a few stumbles here and there, but Alphadia Genesis reflects many smart choices. The story is strong, the characters leave an impression, and the battling has depth. If you're a genre fan looking for a slice of RPG nostalgia, this game has both quantity and quality.
Tales from the Dragon Mountain: The Strix is an okay game with decent puzzles, look-and-find mechanics, and subpar controls. If you enjoy quick puzzlers, this may be worth a try.
Sadly, Goosebumps Dead of Night is another failed attempt at converting a franchise we already know and love into a game that lives up to our expectations.
