Expansion as complex as Shadow of the Erdtree has no real right to be labeled as a traditional DLC. Two-year long development cycle has spawned another story rich soulslike adventure across the Lands Between, or rather its shadowy counterpart. It is a world truly deprived of grace that alas suffers from a few technical issues too, but it never fails to just simply awe. Prepare to face the hardest From Software bosses to date, explore the most vertically varied biodiverse world and get ready to feel through the sounds and designs of the Shadow Realm.

With the arrival of the Czech gangster action on Steam and the new expansion with robots, we hoped that the game would be taken to a higher level. In reality, little has changed and the game still has its original flaws.

The beauty of cosmic horror shows best in the recreation of something known, into something unknown. Similarly, The Chinese Room's newest title Still Wakes The Deep transforms their established formula into something newish and isolates this terrorizing idea onto a secluded oil rig located in the Northern Sea where it gives into this genre's beauty. Unique Scottish setting, unfathomably well-designed story, and dense audio design with great visuals push this glorified walking sim into a terrifying realm and serve players a true one-of-a-kind experience!

Star Wars: Hunters is a surprisingly fun and good game that you should definitely check out. The characters, maps, modes and even the gameplay are well balanced, designed and even implemented in the game. There's just something missing. Over time, you'll find that it lacks depth, and longer matches would definitely help.

A quarter of a century is a long time to develop a sequel to a cult classic and Outcast - A New Beginning certainly shows this in its outdated approach to mechanics, animation, and technical development. The sequel certainly contains a list of non-negligible shortcomings, however, its magical charm that combines a world similar to the Avatar movies and player freedom best known from the Just Cause series overshines many of them! The undying love of the series' enthusiasts has respawned Cutter Slade for another glide across the stunning world of Adelpha.

The Night Springs DLC expands on the rich and interwoven storyline of Alan Wake 2 in a truly unexpected way. The trio of different stories bring their own protagonists and their own approach to gameplay. In some places it's more of a classic approach, in others it's a novel mix. It's a must for fans, but don't expect any definitive answers to your questions.

7 / 10.0 - XDefiant
Jun 7, 2024

In XDefiant, Ubisoft laid a decent foundation for an esports competitive multiplayer game. It has well set gunplay, good variety of factions and maps. But it needs more game modes, deeper matchmaking and balancing. However, the potential is obvious.

Crown Wars has a good core concept that combines castle management with combat missions from historical France. However, the gameplay itself is quite incomplete, it seems primitive, and instead of fine-tuning it, the developers unnecessarily focused on violent scenes.

3.5 / 10.0 - HappyFunland
Jun 5, 2024

Amongst other things, there is a lack of good taste that could ensure a fun and balanced gaming experience. Instead, we have a game that doesn't know what it wants to be. As a result, every aspect of it is pretty bad. The action gameplay is dragged down by the physics, the horror rollercoaster by the lack of content, the social satire by the witless humour.

The light adventure game based on the work of Franz Kafka pays tribute to the great writer, but the gameplay as such is severely limited.

The nun's journey to self-discovery offers an interesting experience, but it is not for everyone. But the developers have done their job honestly. Walking simulator with puzzles has an immersive atmosphere thanks to the plot.

The action, while entertaining, is a bit of a drag. There are also bugs and glitches. There are more minor flaws like this, and they spoil the overall experience. But at its core, it's a fun multiplayer game with well-designed mechanics and well-balanced sides.

Energetic and outspoken protagonist Mia and her trusty pair of headphones are slaying thousands of mindless robots to the beat, just to finally reach the ominous Dietrich, who is making people into literal disco zombies by blasting his own sounds. But beweary, because This synths heavy rhythm-based adventure will not only test your fingers and ears, but your patience and determination too. So just remember to STAY ON BEAT!

The undead Roman legion in Avalon knows how to fight well. Although there are not many heroes and the management between missions is more modest, the legionnaires will prove themselves in a several-hours long campaign.

7 / 10.0 - MADiSON VR
May 24, 2024

With Madison, we got a unique indie horror game that was wonderfully atmospheric and genuinely scary. It also scored with a very well-written, multi-layered story. All of this is present here. However, the controls and interactions don't translate well to virtual reality, often being clunky and choppy, and can take you out of the immersion and atmosphere of the game.

The modern incarnation of Wizardry shows the strengths of the forefather of dungeon crawler, but also the ailments it suffered from. It refers in a sympathetic way to the original game (old-school settings, preview of the classic look in the inset window). It is a pleasant reminder and memory, but with less convincing gameplay.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade II is, at its core, a short game, but an excellent one. But it's not for everyone. It's a bloody and often disgusting experience based on strong emotions and immersion in a character that just won't let you go. It's more of an artistic experience than a traditional game.

It is not a full-blown remake with overhauled graphics or new episodes. But deep within lies truly one of the best parts of the series to be enjoyed even 20 years later with excellent gameplay, sharp-wit writing and funny dialogues for long evenings or short bursts.
