DLC adds more to an already decent package, and while the new Deluxe characters don’t warrant the game’s namesake, they can be fun to use for newcomers to the franchise. There are definitely other options when it comes to platfomers on the Switch. Regardless, Mario’s classic romp still holds up today.
For a budget No More Heroes experience with more content on the way, Travis Strikes Again is a fun ride.
Although the story does suffer several pitfalls and the game systems can be confusing at times, it still comes together to make The Last Remnant Remastered quite a fun JRPG that fans of the genre should enjoy.
Katamari Damacy REROLL is a nice stroll down memory lane. While the graphical touchup could’ve been more substantial, the game itself remains quite a joy to play years later.
Overall, Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight is a solid rhythm title for fans of the series. While the music could’ve used a bit more variety, the overall quality of the track list is still superb.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden can be quite difficult at first and, if you don't play wisely, you can be put in some intense situations and be tempted to restart. With perseverance and strategy, however, you can overcome these initial issues.
Unfortunately, this game has very little going for it. If there was more variety with each level, character and ship customization, ability to change settings other than difficulty, and more content, then it may have been a better game.
The game plays great and offers plenty of options for players to have the best Super Smash Bros. experience yet. It truly is an ultimate entry in this franchise, earning a rightful place in the Switch's expanding library of games.
Should you join Rico in his newest mission? The answer lies in the kinds of game you enjoy. If you had fun with the prior titles, then Just Cause 4 delivers enough improvements to make it worth a playthrough.
It's truly a shame because the parts where the storytelling really shines in this game are the parts most people won't ever see because of the technical issues that plague it.
Hardcore fans might feel that this game is too casual, but the general audience will be floored by the revamping of the Kanto region and the inclusion of new mechanics.
Having such a great collection of games for an affordable price is definitely one good reason why Spyro Reignited Trilogy is the best gem a dragon can collect.
Overall, Call of Cthulhu lives mostly by its story and creepy atmosphere. The gameplay isn't very entertaining for the most part, and some puzzles are far better to skip.
At the end of the day, those expecting a game to be on the caliber of “All Might”, might get a game that is actually more “all right”.
Overall, Dark Souls was a great game when it originally released in 2011. Today, Dark Souls Remastered is still a great game. Being able to play a game like this on the go is a marvel in itself.
As flashy and gorgeous as ever, SoulCalibur VI is ready to retell a tale of souls and swords for another eternity.
Mega Man 11 is definitely a step in the right direction for Capcom. The new graphical style, the interesting gear system, and some of the most unique bosses, stages and weapons make it a nice return to form.
It’s the new benchmark of not just superhero games, but open world games in general. It captures the essence of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man so perfectly that you can’t help getting trapped by its addicting web.
Overall, SNK Heroines is a fairly solid fighter, so if you can look past a lackluster story mode (as is the case with many fighters, though some have had exceptional stories) and/or are drawn to heavy fanservice, you will likely enjoy this title quite a bit, thanks, in no small part, to the accessible gameplay and depth of customization.
Overall, Life is Strange 2 — Episode One: Roads does well to open up a brand new story. Where it’s going, it’s hard to say at this point, but the characters are strong and the options bountiful.
