It might not be the best entry in the Like a Dragon series, but it’s definitely one of the most addictive. A fresh breeze for the franchise that doesn’t lose any of what makes it special. Newcomers might get lost in the story, but even they will fall for Majima’s charm and eagerly await every chance to set sail. The engaging battles, both at sea and on land, have only a few blemishes—yet this treasure still shines bright.

Assassin's Creed: Shadows is technically a very well-done installment in the series. The Japanese setting is beautiful, the graphics are breathtaking, and the optimization is very decent. The game's main failings are the need for constant grinding and a relatively uninteresting main story.

If you want to feel like a football genius on and off the pitch, EA has the game for you this year. It's only dragged down by the menu's hard-to-understand technical imperfections and occasional FPS dips. Otherwise, though, it's the football we've been waiting for.

Split Fiction is one of the best co-op games in the industry. While its story isn't original, it uses it well and features an outstanding, dynamic duo of protagonists - Mio and Zoe. The gameplay is just as dynamic, blending genres and worlds with inventive cooperative mechanics. After A Way Out and It Takes Two, it's hard to find a better co-op experience, whether you're playing with a veteran or a complete beginner.

Monster Hunter Wilds is exactly what longtime fans expect: familiar gameplay with faster combat and added tactics, plus improved multiplayer. Newcomers get a better—if mediocre—story that works as a decent tutorial. Unfortunately, poor graphics and weak optimization drag the game down, making it look and run badly. This technical shortcoming seriously hurts its mainstream appeal.

Two Point Museum is a great building strategy where you will relax rather than deal with billions of charts and micro-management. With the different focuses of the various museums, you won't tire of the game quickly, and each new exhibit will bring excitement. But most importantly, the criticisms we had for previous installments have been fixed. And so the gaming experience is smoother than before!

Sniper Elite Resistance feels like a slapdash DLC that added seven new maps to the game in the base version. Is that enough? No way. This is an example of how games shouldn't be made. Despite the fact that you'll have a tough time finding new things in the sequel, you have to admit that the gameplay is still fun, and the co-op suits the game. Hopefully, the next installment will be more than just a reskin of what we've already had here.

Avowed offers excellent gameplay, an engaging story with well-designed sidequests, memorable companions, and an original fantasy world. It improves on Outer Worlds' flaws, delivers spectacular combat (especially magic), a semi-open beautiful world with parkour, and flexible character progression. While the music is less distinctive and some animations and side character designs can be repetitive, these are minor issues that don't detract from an otherwise outstanding experience.

Eternal Strands is a nice mix of Shadow of the Colossus and The Legend of Zelda. It doesn't present a huge challenge, but it does reward attentive and creative players. The most appreciated features are the ability to combine spells and the item crafting system.

Kvark is an incredibly well-done title in its setting, theme, and gameplay, but does it have its flaws and fail to live up to the potential of its setting? Of course, it doesn't matter anyway. The title has its positives, and considering that this is the first title from two young developers who only graduated from high school last year, it's an incredible piece of work that deserves its own recognition and recommendation to anyone who enjoys retro pixelated boomer shooter games.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is a brave twist in the series and a true Breath of Innovation. It has fun dungeons and mechanics, an amazing soundtrack, and amazing graphics. However, a muddy performance is keeping this title from reaching its absolute heights.

Sid Meier's Civilization VII brings a fresh perspective to the series and attempts to overcome many of the shortcomings of the previous installments. The game is more nimble, clearer, and more complex than ever before. Still, it's not exactly welcoming to new players.

Mario Party Jamboree might seem like a pointless third installment for the Nintendo Switch. But it couldn’t be further from the truth! It’s an incredibly polished and balanced experience that took the best out of the two previous Switch Mario Party games.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a natural evolution of the first game, which now fully develops its original vision. It brings a deeper story, historical fidelity, and dramatization of the action. The beautiful backdrops of Bohemian Paradise and Guttenberg complement improved combat, creative quests, and sophisticated dialogue choices. While the game maintains its authentic RPG style, it also pushes the boundaries of the genre and shows how Warhorse continues to improve in narrative and game design.

Citizen Sleeper 2 builds on a strong story, well-written characters and a unique dice mechanic that delivers tension and strategy. The open world and deep themes give the game an unforgettable atmosphere. If you like text-based RPGs with an emphasis on decision-making and survival in an inhospitable universe, this game will suck you in.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 restores hope in the franchise. Game studios Treyarch and Raven Software continue what the 2020 title Cold War started. With a story campaign that offers an absolutely brilliant level composition, while enriching it with excellent shooting dynamics and a new motion omnimovement system. The latter translates beautifully to the multiplayer, which of course could have done with some work on the new game modes, as well as the Zombies mode, which is repairing its reputation. This is simply good Call of Duty.

Tribe Nation is a military strategy game with rogue-like mechanics, from the Czech studio Random Worlds. Players take on the role of a warlord fleeing from Caesar's army. The game combines movement on hexagonal fields, strategy and elements of chance, which should make each battle unique. Battles are divided into phases where you fight in real time, and phases where you manage your upgrades and equipment. While the visuals are simple, Tribe Nation is fun to play with, but some mechanics, such as inaccuracies in moving units, can be frustrating. The game could be enhanced with more content and tweaks to increase replayability and player motivation.

Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is a fun and difficult platformer, which impresses players mainly with great level design. The wobbly controls do spoil the experience and make the game unnecessarily difficult, but if you can get past that, this is a well made remaster.

Metro Awakening represents not only a return to the Moscow metro after a relatively long time, but also the first opportunity to experience this post-apocalyptic world literally from the perspective of your own eyes in virtual reality. Vertigo Games managed to do it incredibly succesfully. It is, simply put, a full-fledged Metro that no fan should miss. This is despite its flaws, for example with the abrupt change of narrative style midway through or the repetition of locations.

Forgotten but Unbroken comes with an interesting setting and an ambitious concept that promises a combination of turn-based action and strategy building. Unfortunately, it suffers from a lack of variety, a weaker story and dated graphics. Stable optimization and quality audio do lift the game, but they are not enough to overcome its repetitive gameplay and other shortcomings.
