Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is the latest addition to the Nickelodeon Kart Racers series. Even before logging in for the first time, I was excited to explore the maps and learn the fundamental mechanics of driving in the Nickelodeon universe that I had grown up watching. Needless to say, I was more than eager to give the game a shot. Did the game live up to my expectations? Find out in this Rapid Review.
Prodigal is an action-adventure title showcasing a young traveller on adventures once he returns home. It features both puzzle-solving and standard top-down action. Did this game pair these two genres well? Find out in this Rapid Review.
With the dust now settled I’ve had the joy of spending the last 12 days, working my way through the entire main narrative of Gotham Knights. With its bombastic climax, the developer has its sights firmly set on encouraging the player to keep going after the credits roll. The big questions is of course… will you want to?
Upon watching the trailer for The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow, I was intrigued by not only its mystery aspect but by its use of pixel art, unsettling at times. It was clear this wasn’t going to be a whimsical adventure, but something sinister lurked underneath. I also love a good point and click game! So, was this game a hidden treasure, or should you keep digging for more? Keep reading this Rapid Review to find out.
Ahhhh, nostalgia, there is something warm and fuzzy about returning to something you remember vividly from your childhood. Monkey Island is a series I played a lot growing up and it was a blast returning there recently. It is a lot different now though on the Nintendo Switch, if you had told me I would be able to play Monkey Island, on the go when I was a nipper, I would have laughed in your face but here we are. Isn’t technology great?
Curse Crackers: For Whom the Belle Toils is a retro pixel art action-platformer. As I progressed through the story, I navigated different locales, tackling tricky stages and ultimately taking on brutal bosses. Did this adventure keep me interested throughout? Or did I force my way to the end? Find out in this Rapid Review.
Antonball Deluxe is an interesting mix between Breakout and a traditional platformer. Do these two genres come together to create something beautiful or do they crash and burn? Find out in this Rapid Review.
Every year it goes without saying that there’s going to be a new entry into Activision’s best-selling first-person shooter series, Call of Duty. However, with the news that a 2023 addition to the series will not be coming to light, does this latest entry have what it takes to carry the flame? We will be discussing the single-player campaign of the game in this review, our thoughts on the multiplayer will come at a later date.
No More Heroes 3 is a personality-soaked hack-and-slash beat-em-up featuring the obnoxiously charming Travis Touchdown. Though I had heard of the series before, this is my first time trying it out. Did my first adventure in the series go well? Find out in this Rapid Review.
Construction Simulator 2022 rolled out for the PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S and PC. With it comes over 70 real-world pieces of construction equipment from 25 world-famous brands. Unlike its predecessors, Construction Simulator has two separate maps with their own unique campaigns boasting over 90 contracts. Each map has a small group of land development companies looking to grow the town industries in various areas. These include business, residential, commercial, and more, each with their own manager for their projects.
Earlier this year, in the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, Scorn was announced as one of the games that would be available to play day one on Game Pass. I used the feature that allows you to download in advance so that I was ready to play on Friday. Survival horror is my all-time favourite genre, so when Game Pass delivers a title even remotely close to this, I’m there sniffing around to see if it’s my kind of gig. From the trailer, Scorn seemed like it would fit right in with the darker side of my gaming tastes. Read my Rapid Review to find out if it delivered on its promise.
Star Trek as a franchise has gone through quite the revival over the last few years. With shows like ‘Star Trek: Picard’, ‘Star Trek: Discovery’, and ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’ to entertain adult “Trekkies”. Not content with leaving Star Trek to the mature crowd, Alex Kurzman has delivered his extended universe to the younger generation too.
The Plague Doctor of Wippra is a puzzle-focused point-and-click adventure published by Application Systems Heidelberg. Having played Unforeseen Incidents earlier this year, I was excited to explore another of the titles that they published. Did this game live up to my expectations? Find out in this Rapid Review.
I love music and I adore video games, when these two hobbies clash in an out-of-the-ordinary way, I am all ears… and possibly eyes too! We are OFK is a unique experience that follows an eclectic band over five emotional episodes while they record an EP. Each episode finishes with a controllable music video and each episode is chock full of feelings, angst and other socially-based nightmares.

Extreme sports games used to be a genre of games that were all the rage back in the late 90’s to early 2000’s. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Mat Hoffman BMX and Aggressive Inline to name a few, each having varying degrees of success. However, these games sort of died out, mostly due to over saturation of the market.
Bullets are replaced with gallons of ink in Nintendo’s take on the FPS Genre. Is Splatoon 3 a game worth spending a few (s)quid on? Find out in this Rapid Review.
We live in a time where you can now play a simulator for everything and anything; power washing, goats and even construction . So to be able to stand out in the sea of simulators is no easy task. Rover Mechanic Simulator – as the title suggests – sees you working on various Mars Rovers, assembling, cleaning and fixing different vehicles so they are able to function again. Some simulators thrive and become instant classics while some silently whimper and become just another name on the list. Rover Mechanic Simulator, is the latter.
Fashion Police Squad is a traditional first-person shooter with one major twist. Instead of slaughtering enemies, I bless them with my superior fashion sense. Throughout this game, I would need to tie pins in oversized shirts, dampen bright colours, and even ensure nobody was wearing socks and sandals. It is a cute premise, and I was excited to see how this concept enhanced the first-person shooter genre.
Redout 2 is a fast-paced high-octane racing game that focuses heavily on perfection. Was this title one that stood out because of its tight mechanics or did it end up being too fast for its own good? Find out in this Rapid Review.
