With the dust now settled I’ve had the joy of spending the last 12 days, working my way through the entire main narrative of Gotham Knights. With its bombastic climax, the developer has its sights firmly set on encouraging the player to keep going after the credits roll. The big questions is of course… will you want to?

Upon watching the trailer for The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow, I was intrigued by not only its mystery aspect but by its use of pixel art, unsettling at times. It was clear this wasn’t going to be a whimsical adventure, but something sinister lurked underneath. I also love a good point and click game! So, was this game a hidden treasure, or should you keep digging for more? Keep reading this Rapid Review to find out.

Ahhhh, nostalgia, there is something warm and fuzzy about returning to something you remember vividly from your childhood. Monkey Island is a series I played a lot growing up and it was a blast returning there recently. It is a lot different now though on the Nintendo Switch, if you had told me I would be able to play Monkey Island, on the go when I was a nipper, I would have laughed in your face but here we are. Isn’t technology great?

Earlier this year, in the Xbox and Bethesda showcase, Scorn was announced as one of the games that would be available to play day one on Game Pass. I used the feature that allows you to download in advance so that I was ready to play on Friday. Survival horror is my all-time favourite genre, so when Game Pass delivers a title even remotely close to this, I’m there sniffing around to see if it’s my kind of gig. From the trailer, Scorn seemed like it would fit right in with the darker side of my gaming tastes. Read my Rapid Review to find out if it delivered on its promise.

Extreme sports games used to be a genre of games that were all the rage back in the late 90’s to early 2000’s. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Mat Hoffman BMX and Aggressive Inline to name a few, each having varying degrees of success. However, these games sort of died out, mostly due to over saturation of the market.

We live in a time where you can now play a simulator for everything and anything; power washing, goats and even construction . So to be able to stand out in the sea of simulators is no easy task. Rover Mechanic Simulator – as the title suggests – sees you working on various Mars Rovers, assembling, cleaning and fixing different vehicles so they are able to function again. Some simulators thrive and become instant classics while some silently whimper and become just another name on the list. Rover Mechanic Simulator, is the latter.

Fashion Police Squad is a traditional first-person shooter with one major twist. Instead of slaughtering enemies, I bless them with my superior fashion sense. Throughout this game, I would need to tie pins in oversized shirts, dampen bright colours, and even ensure nobody was wearing socks and sandals. It is a cute premise, and I was excited to see how this concept enhanced the first-person shooter genre.
