A truly divine experience, God of War returns and places Kratos and Atreus among the pantheon of gaming’s greatest.
A decent side-scroller that echoes nostalgia, but with modern improvements.
Dead in Vinland is far from perfect. What it is, however, is proof that a well-worn genre can be revitalised through the addition of new elements – which CCCP has executed well, if a little overdone. A nice territory for newcomers to explore, and a new experience for the veterans of the survival genre.
Chaos, madness, and comedy awaits in The Behemoth's Pit People. Come for the art, stay for the strategy.
One of the best roguelites in recent times, experience the joy of mastering your weapon with SYNTHETIK!
A great attempt at modernizing the JRPG, Battle Chasers: Nightwar is but a few steps away from being truly great.
A decent attempt at recreating the magic of the Metroidvania genre, A Robot Named Fight! deserves a shot from fans of the genre.
Adorable graphics and interesting weapons make this roguelike shooter a joy to play.
Detroit: Become Human continues PlayStation 4’s run of tremendous AAA exclusives with an engaging story and captivating characters that keeps you wanting more.
With the right balance of solo, co-op and versus play, Son of a Witch is certainly a delightful charm of a game. Its lighthearted nature doesn't allow for much depth in storytelling, but the adorable aesthetics, simple game mechanics, and casual fun more than makes up for that. If you're looking to have a good time, this is what you should be looking out for – be warned, however, for it can be quite the challenge for newcomers. Tread on, brave warrior.
An authentic experience that brings a tabletop game to an interactive medium, Battletech is a purist's dream come true.
A good, competent survival game that builds on the original, State of Decay 2 has plenty to love, but also plenty to improve on.
Dark Souls Remastered is exactly how good ol’ Dark Souls is, but now all decked out in all its enhanced visual glory. It’s the perfect welcome for old fans, and the best way to experience the unforgiving world of Lordran for newer players. Oh, and you’ll still die.
A delightful puzzle platformer that retains the charm of the original and improves everything else for a grand time.
Finally, a Warhammer 40K title that scratches the action rpg itch. However, it's not the best in the genre but if given time (and patches) Inquisitor Martyr could etch itself as one of the must plays in the Warhammer universe.
Traveller’s Tales lands a brand new property to plug into their tried and tested LEGO gameplay, but I had hoped for something a bit less on their usual path.
At USD$19.99, Mushroom Wars 2 is one of those games you should consider picking up if you’ve exhausted all the other local multiplayer games on the Nintendo eShop. It takes a specific personality and group of friends to thoroughly enjoy this title. Due to its fast-paced action, players will be able to easily squeeze in multiple rounds per session which is perfectly suited for on-the-go gaming.
Relive your early gaming days (or your parents’ early gaming days) again with new characters, new stages, and new modes for an already fantastic game. You’ll get an even bigger nostalgia kick and an excellent 2D platformer that still runs very, very fast.
Unless you're looking for single-player gameplay or a co-op cooking game on the cheap, you're better off picking up the more polished Overcooked instead.
This game is a good way to catch up with the Full Metal Panic!‘s story before you embark on watching the 4th season. Gameplay requires patience and can be repetitive, but the story makes the game worth playing.
