5 / 10.0 - Niffelheim
Sep 24, 2019

Unfortunately, Niffelheim does not possess enough visual appeal despite its gorgeous hand drawings, nor enthralling mechanics or ease of access for non-genre enthusiasts like myself.

In the end, though these complaints cannot weight down the gaming experience that is The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. From the gorgeous visuals to the excellent puzzle design, this game offers a top-notch experience.

9 / 10.0 - Borderlands 3
Sep 21, 2019

Borderlands 3 is just another Borderlands game. I came for a Borderlands game and I definitely got one. The game is not novel, at least in regards to mechanics, but it's a fantastic game nonetheless, especially for its story and characters. It feels the same, plays the same, and all my expectations have been met. It's a game I would recommend to anyone.

If you are looking for a puzzle game with a relaxing setting and score, then The Sojourn is a must-play. However, if you want something with more narrative driving the gameplay, look elsewhere.

Gears 5 more than lives up to that legacy. With only a couple hiccups, Gears 5 delivers a nearly flawless campaign I cannot endorse more wholeheartedly.

8 / 10.0 - Fantasy Strike
Jul 25, 2019

Combined with the games visual and audio presentation, Fantasy Strike is a strong fighting experience. Each round one is a decisive victory and a small impactful reward that set itself apart from other fighters. The gameplay is unmistakably tight and will keep players coming back for that " one more time" level of gameplay.

Red Faction: Guerilla Re-Mars-tered Edition's content is perfect for any time a young revolutionary needs to raise some hell on-the-go. It's a tremendous interstellar action experience and a testament to the timelessness of strong gaming mechanics.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is a flawed experience that tried to rejuvenate a fan favorite franchise from yesteryear. However, instead it serves only to tarnish the memory many of us hold so fondly.

I have appreciated my time with Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble...with the depth of strategy, and wide array of missions to choose from, there is plenty of fun to be found in this not so tiny entry into the turn-based strategy genre.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle is a fantastic video game adaptation, and sequel fans have been waiting for, that nails the gameplay mechanics for combat, and captures the core aesthetics of the anime series. I will say that the price for the DLC is pretty high at $39.99. However, the amount of content and new features you get is well worth it.

OTTTD doesn't do anything revolutionary or tremendously innovative, it's strong, lean mechanics, as well as its strong sense of humor, make it incredibly enjoyable on the Nintendo Switch. The variety of levels and the constant sense of competition keeps players coming back for more.

8 / 10.0 - Forgotton Anne

Forgotten Anne is a visual joy, that tells a meaningful story. While some story elements are predictable, and a few of the platforming moments are a little subpar, the package as a whole is one I would recommend to anyone...
