As fan of the anime, Last Recollection leaves me with a very bittersweet taste in my mouth. If on the one hand I let myself be carried away by yet another adventure by Kirito and company, the various negative aspects made this experience somewhat boring. Overall, I enjoyed mostly because I like the genre of the game itself. An experience that I think fans of the series will appreciate despite everything, but that could otherwise leave the casual player disinterested after a few hours.

"Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story" aims to provide a more relaxed experience for its target audience. I believe this audience is much younger, considering the difficulty and simplicity of the game, as well as the complexity of the narrative. However, it does not differ from what is a good adventure with moments of learning, relaxation or some more intense ones. A game that, for lovers of League of Legends and its entire universe, will bring new knowledge about the lore of Nunu & Willump and the Freljord.

Ghostrunner 2 raises the bar. Without a doubt, the studio greatly improved the previous title and brought more and better. It's not perfect yet, but it's very close. I believe that the theme specifically created for this saga, combining the cyberpunk theme with the first-person platform style, has even more to offer. Let's hope Ghostrunner 3 comes, and adds even more innovations and original ideas, just like this second one did!

Everhood: Eternity Edition is a very successful rhythm adventure game, but it fails to reach the level of stardom of the game from which it is inspired. It's a very fun adventure, with a different combat style, a well-built world and a soundtrack that makes me tap my foot. But it tries too hard and without success to be a new Undertale, ending up leaving something to be desired in some moments of the story (especially in the ending) and in the characters it presents. It's a great, great indie, which I'll want to return to more often, but it falls a little short in some aspects, which prevents it from being a title for the ages.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now much more accessible in terms of performance, which could bring many players back and many new ones so they can have fun in this futuristic universe. The review of the game's various systems and elements is a breath of fresh air and transforms this title into the dream promised a few years ago. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty DLC, boosted by the new patch 2.0, in all its glory, puts this game back on the RPG map. A spy thriller amidst so much action that it becomes a clear must play for fans of this world created by CD Projekt Red.

Play Disgaea 7. It's fun, strategic, complex. If I could only play one game for the rest of my life, it might as well be Disgaea 7. The new additions are well done, and leave behind less accomplished features of previous titles.

Not going to lie to you: EA Sports FC 24 has been somewhat disappointing so far. The changes aren't that big compared to last year, but there are modes that work worse, new features that irritate more than they entertain, years-old errors that still haven't been resolved and a new ugly and confusing user interface. Not everything is bad, since, if we discount the foul system, the gameplay continues to be fun and the best on the market. So, if EA Sports simulators have captivated you before, this one will too. If not, or if they are tired of the formula, then they will probably do as I did and not wait for the final whistle to leave the stadium.

The Teal Mask is not an indispensable addition to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, it is a DLC that ends up being practically more of the same. If, like me, you loved the unprecedented freedom and interactivity with Pokémon in their habitats in the base game, then you'll find more of that pleasure in Kitikami. If, on the other hand, the technical, graphical and performance problems that plague the entire ninth generation frustrate you and disturb your fun, perhaps this is not such an appealing return. How recommendable this expansion is depends on whether you hate to love or love to hate the entire ninth generation of Pokémon.

It's not for everyone and Lies of P is a cruel experience for the more relaxed, but it has several details that are so well done that I recommend it to anyone who wants to delve into a new alternative universe of the story of Pinocchio and company. It doesn't have the prominence of, for example, Elden Ring, but it has its own identity that, let's not lie, lets the player get involved and feel a mix of positive emotions (and some less positive ones when we die).

With an anemic minigame selection and insufficient depth to diversify gameplay, Everybody 1-2 Switch! completely exhausts its appeal in two or three hours. On the current supreme console for local multiplayer, this proposal is unable to hold a candle to the countless superior alternatives present in the vast Nintendo Switch catalogue, which is a shame given that it is, at its limited core, an accessible and intuitive experience for everyone and more.

Mortal Kombat 1 was perhaps one of the best games, if not the best fighting game I've ever played. The path that NetherRealm decided to create, gave rise to a world of possibilities. This aspect, combined with the huge cast of characters in the universe, means that the innovation and paths that the Mortal Kombat story can take from now on are endless. The combat is perfect, the Kameos bring more innovation and add something that we would never have imagined would work so well. The Invasions mode left me a little hesitant the first time I saw it, but it was undoubtedly a huge surprise and perhaps the best aspect of this game. Mortal Kombat 1 is a great starting point for new players but it's also a great game for older fans.

In "Under the Waves" we didn't find the graphics of Detroit Become Human or the plot that Heavy Rain develops, but I found a more solid and engaging experience as a whole. By simplifying some elements and refining others, we are faced with a solid narrative that will captivate players and easily allow us to join the character's struggle... on a personal or professional level. The developer's bet on teaming up with an organization with "on-site" knowledge of the reality and difficulties our oceans face, was a successful bet and one that we see as an example for other publishers to follow.

I didn't find in ANONYMOUS;CODE the fascinating characters and development arcs that won me over in other SciADV experiences, but this continuation of the saga mitigates this omission with an exciting sci-fi narrative, mature explorations of intriguing themes and the introduction of a save/load mechanic which gives the player an active role in events.

I never thought I would leave with a smile on my lips from a murder mystery game in which solving murders is the least successful part, but Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE surprised me. It's a pleasure to get to know the central mysteries, characters, and locations of Kanai Ward, regardless of the ease of the crimes or some technical problems. With this title, Too Kyo Games and Spike Chunsoft have established an interesting reinterpretation of Danganronpa's mechanics, which we eagerly hope will be used as a basis and improved in new adventures by these elite detectives.

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is a triumphant ode to an unique and difficult idea. The story is very good, the quantity, variety of choices and consequences is truly impressive, and the work put in here to make everything make logical and narrative sense is sublime. The songs are divine, the performances of all the actors are perfect, without exception, and it just doesn't have a permanent place on Olympus due to several technical problems that prove that the game was created by mortals. Still, and because it always left us with music in our hearts, it is a work quite worthy of entering the Pantheon.

Remnant II is, without a doubt, one of the best looter-shooters today. A very well thought out, fun and challenging title whether in a solo adventure or in a shared adventure with up to two other players with content for dozens of hours. And... with three DLC planned to continue this brilliant ARPG, I don't see why it can't grow and provide more and more hours of fun. A game that I highly recommend to all fans of this genre of games!

AEW Fight Forever, with some bugs, a very weak career mode, a limited number of fight modes and a very small number of fighters, is far from being a "rival" wrestling company game . It's sad to note that the entrance music and the entrances of certain fighters are present, however the fighters themselves are not present in the game and, in some cases, they appear as DLC on the launch day of the game itself! Even though I think it's a pretty fun game, there wasn't a single moment where I felt really hooked on the game, much less excited about playing it. It's not that it's bad, it's just not "there yet". Perhaps this is the beginning of a great game franchise, but this initial entry does not go down in history without a doubt.

The 10 year wait for a new Pikmin was excruciating. If it's true that not all this time was invested in Pikmin 4, it certainly feels like it was. The number of modes, areas, missions, Pikmin and enemies in this package is impressive, but not as impressive as its consistent excellence. If you've never played a Pikmin adventure, this beautiful, addictive and fun iteration is without a doubt the best way to get to know the series... especially because it's the easiest. Even with some wasted opportunities in terms of difficulty, cooperative mode and puzzles, Pikmin 4 stands out as one of the best games in the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

A creative adventure, dense in collectibles, enhanced by incredible level designs... it had everything to be one of the best 3D platformers of recent years. However, the annoying lack of difficulty in Tinykin leaves a void in the experience, which limits the enjoyment of the experience for more experienced players.

Final Fantasy XVI is a page-turner. Better still, it's the beginning of a new book. Although there are some things that still bring to mind the weight that the name carries, Square Enix takes a completely different path in almost everything this experience gives us. It's a good story, with its exceptional peaks, but the climb up there is quite boring and difficult to digest. It feels that, somewhere in middle of the story there are repetitive moments of sloppiness that greatly undermined everything good that this Final Fantasy could provide us. I accept that the changes had to happen, but it leaves a bittersweet taste in the end.
