"Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" is one of the best role-playing games of the past ten years and a strong contender for Game of the Year. Developer Sandfall Interactive has created a true masterpiece with its debut game.

As a shoot 'em up, however, it only works to a limited extent. Because a large portion of each playthrough is randomly generated, the game is very difficult to learn. At the same time, it offers more variety than the usual side-scrolling genre representatives. You can definitely spend a lot of time with the game if you're willing to embrace this combination of genres.

However, anyone who appreciates challenging platforming in Metroidvanias and isn't afraid to delve deeper into some of the features than is typical for the genre will definitely have fun with "Inayah: Life after Gods."

All in all, however, "Steel Seed" is a coherent action-adventure with likeable main characters and a gripping story. So, if you're looking for a linear gaming experience away from the open-world blockbusters, you'll definitely find a suitable alternative here.

For us as players, "Once Upon a Puppet" is a bit like the world within the game itself: a play full of adventure, heart, and quirky characters, somewhat predictable and with numerous loving details. It's one that takes place on a low-level stage—it can't (yet) make it onto the big AAA stages, but it will find many fans who will love this special style and explore every corner until they've uncovered every last secret. "Once Upon a Puppet" has many facets and, despite the rather slow pace of the production, is a play that's definitely worth seeing.

The learning curve is quite steep, and the exercises in training mode could be more accessible. Furthermore, the staging and presentation of the story sections could be much more dynamic. The game feels rather dated here. If you can overlook this, you can still really put the pedal to the metal in "City of the Wolves" and let your fury run wild.

Developer Slipgate Ironworks will need to improve this a bit in the future. Nevertheless, "Tempest Rising" is a very welcome comeback for the classic real-time strategy game and is therefore warmly recommended to any fan of "Command & Conquer."

The game may not be perfect, but it's so good that it doesn't even have to hide behind "Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown," which certainly had a considerably higher budget. So, we definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys side-scrolling RPGs. If you want to be completely sure, you can check out the demo on Steam first.

Even if an additional difficulty level, slightly improved controls, and graphics aren't that interesting for you, if you like the genre and don't already own the game, you should get it now. It's worth it!

It's clever, addictive, and never fails to surprise. "Blue Prince" is already one of the best titles of the year, and anyone with even the slightest interest in the genre should not miss it. It's a magical experience!

The short playing time, the lack of replay value, the lack of presence of the mascots, the lack of a sense of horror, and the sometimes frustrating controls are just some of these criticisms. "Finding Frankie" laid the foundation for a series, and it remains to be hoped that future spin-offs will offer more.

After testing, we have a love-hate relationship with "Commandos: Origins." The first few missions, in particular, were noticeably nerve-wracking. The occasional bugs and the unpredictability of the stealth gameplay repeatedly lead to frustration. Only over time does a certain flow develop.

On the track, "Supercross 25" performs very well and, overall, is clearly better than any of its predecessors. This applies to the graphics as well as the gameplay. However, the series doesn't come from the top of the genre, but rather from the middle of the pack, so despite the improvement, you shouldn't expect a racing game on the level of Codemasters' "F1."

All in all, however, it's a title definitely worth a playthrough – if only to experience the music in conjunction with the gameplay!

However, generic side missions, enemy types, and environments, as well as the controls that aren't quite as straightforward as its predecessor "Sekiro," hold the game back. Nevertheless, fans of challenging action RPGs can expect an early highlight in the relatively young gaming year of 2025.

However, there aren't so many changes that owners of the Wii U version should necessarily buy again, unless they absolutely love the title. JRPG fans who have so far passed the game by will have an optimal opportunity with "Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition" to immerse themselves in a very good, incredibly atmospheric open-world role-playing game that will easily provide them with 100 hours of fun or more.

Despite all the doom and gloom, "Assassin's Creed Shadows" has become one of the best installments in the series to date. The game not only tops the series in terms of graphics, but also narratively, despite its open-world structure, which is actually a disadvantage.

The "Atelier" series has changed quite a bit with Yumia. It's somehow more mature, more grown-up, and a whole lot darker. "Atelier" fans will recognize this from the older installments of the series.
