Persona 3 Reload is a fantastic remake of an already great cult game. All kinds of clever gameplay innovations and an enormous amount of style make this a gripping JRPG that you shouldn't miss out on. The remake of the PlayStation 2 classic is even now a hot contender for the best role-playing game of the still quite young year.

"Ginsha" is an absolute must-see for Metroidvania fans. The game cleverly combines elements from video game classics with newer ideas and manages to pack these elements into a very pretty and great sounding package. Only the difficulty level and the lack of almost any navigation aids can deter less experienced players.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is not only the biggest game in the series to date, but also a real narrative highlight. Admittedly, it takes a comparatively long time for the story to really get going. But then the developers bombard us with twists and turns that surprise and emotionally thrill. The development studio does not reinvent the basic gameplay concepts, but the bottom line is that Infinite Wealth offers enough innovations and improvements that all make sense and fit nicely. However, the fact that the New Game Plus mode is not included in every version is indeed a disappointment.

If you want to experience the two Another Code games in a more or less completely new manner, the Recollection is a great opportunity for doing that. But new puzzles, cutscenes or voiceover can't hide that Another Code Recollection does not look and feel like a high value current game production.

Better graphics in both, Fidelity and Performance mode, the audio commentary during the solo campaign and especially the commented and playable dye prototype levels are solely worth the upgrade for owners of the PS4 original. But the best reason for them to play The Last of Us Part II Remastered is the new roguelike mode No Return. If you haven’t played the game yet, you should now get the PS5 version to get one of the best survival action games out there.

Be it the masterful design of the semi-open game world divided into 13 dye biomes, the continuous introduction of new hero abilities, the thrilling duels with a huge range of enemy types, the challenging puzzles and boss fights, the scope, which is more extensive than many others genre representatives or the variety of accessibility functions - Ubisoft Montpellier undoubtedly delivers one of its best games in recent years! There are minor points of criticism, but in our opinion they are primarily limited to difficulty peaks in some boss fights and the fact that the story doesn't quite as emotionally engage us as that of Hollow Knight or Ori and the Blind Forest, for example.

In its own way, Gangs of Sherwood is a very focused game. The fights are entertaining, and the four characters are very well delineated from each other. It's fun to learn the combos and finish each fight in the most stylish way possible. Unfortunately, this façade crumbles as soon as you look behind the successful battles. Whether it's design, story or variety: "Gangs of Sherwood" is stuck deep in mediocrity. If you can overlook it and also grab a friend or two online, you can still have a lot of fun here.

With Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Arc System Works accomplishes the feat of making an already excellent fighting game even better. Weaknesses of the predecessor have been skilfully eliminated, such as the then still very small selection of characters. Only the story mode could have been a bit more exciting.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince offers a mixed gaming experience. As someone who likes to collect monsters the breeding system caught my attention and it’s fun to catch and collect all the different monsters. However, the game falls short in terms of narrative depth, sporting outdated graphics and encountering performance issues. So I only recommend it to fans of the series and hope they improve their character writing and the overall game performance for the next title.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is a nice open world action game. But beside the great and detailed graphics there is nothing worse or better than solid. That might be enough, if you love the movies, but it's not enough to make Ubisoft's Avatar game a need to buy for action fans in general.

Lego Bricktales and VR are a perfect match. In virtual reality, the brick constructions seem almost tangible. It's simply fun to look at the detailed dioramas from different angles - especially in the Quest 3's passthrough mode, which places the game in your living room.

Few fictional universes are as dense and impenetrable as that of Warhammer 40k. Owlcat Games (previously known for Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous have managed to create a gripping story of the darkness that lurks in man, accentuated by stellar writing and a combat system that masterfully increases in depth as the game goes on. Despite some bugs and technical issues, this easily counts among the very best delves into the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium.

The sequel remains true to its predecessor and takes the franchise to a new level. Strong graphics and superb weapon control are the biggest plus points. On the other hand, the level of difficulty is low and the artificial intelligence is average at best. Simple light hearted fun and suited best for casual mature PSVR2-users.

Gothic 2 Complete Classic finally brings a great action RPG on Switch. You can see that the original is from 2002/2003, but beside the aged technology even the presentation is still an important contribute to an intensive atmosphere. The Switch port is a good chance for fans to experience this real classic again. Series newcomers should be aware of a relatively high difficulty level and a lack of modern comfort functions.

Last Train Home tells a gritty and emotional story of Czechoslovakian legionnaires trying to reach their distant home after the conclusion of World War I. As foreign armed forces in a now war-torn Russia, players not only have to manage scarce resources, but also their allegiances. While the core elements of RTS gameplay and survival management sim work well together, a large part of your enjoyment will depend on the balance of those two. For large stretches of gameplay, Last Train Home isn’t an RTS with management sim elements, but a Surival Management game with occasional RTS missions.

While Gazzlers certainly has its moments, the train runs out of steam at the end. A little more content would have helped. The result is a solid arcade shooter whose biggest weakness is the strong competition.

With the so called Premium Edition of Farming Simulator 22 players gain the complete package with any DLC that has been released since the launch of the main game in November 2021. There is a lot of stuff in it you can easily expand with quiet a lot mods even on consoles. But the weak points stay the same especially concerning the partly bad player guidance or the poor physics engine. A good farming simulation, but still not a perfect one.
