Let's take up the initial question again: Does "Assassin's Creed Nexus" retain the essence of the series? But yes! The use of well-known characters alone ensures that series connoisseurs immediately feel at home here. Unfortunately, this also applies to excursions into the real world between chapters, which you could happily do without because they disrupt the flow of the game. The transformation into virtual space does not harm the proven gameplay at all, even if the complexity of the acrobatic movements is of course somewhat designed for a feasible and frustration-free gaming experience. The climbing moves and combat moves are two very solid cornerstones that make "Assassin's Creed Nexus" an entertaining action game that may be a tad too easy for professionals, but the bottom line is quite convincing.

In some ways the developers could have been more courageous concerning innovations, because beside graphics and new arranged score there is not much really new stuff. But playing it safe is fine, because with that Super Mario RPG is a beautiful looking role playing game with a great mixture of round based combat and action elements.

While inevitably overshadowed by its big brother, Persona 5 Tactica definitely has its own legs to stand on. The accessible, yet engaging combat system, a new story with its own twists and turns, as well as the excellent art style make this an easy game to pick up and play. What it lacks however, is anything truly outstanding. While competent at all aspects of the game, nothing stands out as particularly new or captivating, dooming this to remain forever trapped a shadow in the metaverse that is Persona 5.

Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is undoubtedly the most complete and extensive game of the worldwide popular anime hit to date. Although there are no major innovations, fans and, of course, all those who want to become fans can pick it up without hesitation thanks to the large roster, two story campaigns and beginner-friendly action gameplay.

"The Walking Dead: Saint & Sinners - Chapter 2: Retribution" seamlessly follows on from the good performance of the first part, but still shouldn't inspire everyone equally. If you remember the interesting story of the first part and the stealth as highlights, you might not like the changed focus. If you felt underchallenged in part 1, you should get your money's worth, especially in the night excursions. For those interested, however, we recommend playing part 1 first, as the introduction was not solved optimally. Fans of survival horror titles should definitely grab this one.

"Jagged Alliance 3" perfects the mix of management simulation, tactical battles and role-playing elements and inspires with humorous dialogues and a constantly surprising game depth. Even if minor flaws in controls, camera work and overview in the battles are occasionally frustrating, the game is one of the best titles of the year for strategy fans. However, one drop of bitterness for all those who want to get excited about the series for the first time remains: The high level of difficulty and the very many, very poorly explained elements make the introduction to "Jagged Alliance 3" a test of patience. But if you take the time, you will definitely be richly rewarded here.

Super Crazy Rhythm Castle combines a rhythm game with chaotic minigames to create a lovingly designed party game that is unfortunately more for experienced players and may appeal to less casual gamers than it would like.

Vampire: The Masquerade is an ambitious game from an indie development studio. The result is solid and it entertains well throughout its eight-hour runtime. First and foremost, the game world is superb. On the other hand the stealth sequences disappoint with rather fiddly controls. We sincerely hope that a patch will fix these issues.

With Star Ocean: The Second Story R, a JRPG classic is celebrating a glorious comeback. Thanks to its likeable characters and complex gameplay, this is a game that no fan of old-school JRPGs should miss out on.

We were really looking forward to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III campaign. Above all, the concept of open combat zones sounded promising. After our almost 6-hour first playthrough, however, we unfortunately have to admit that we had set our expectations far too high. If you exclude a few highlights such as the London and the missile bunker infiltration mission, then the "MW III" campaign turns out to be a clear step backwards compared to the two previous spin-offs and also the original "Modern Warfare" trilogy.

Tintin Reporter could have been a solid mixture of Adventure and action game. But there is not just a huge number of minor bugs and continuous performance issues that separates the game from a neat score. There are also some fatal bugs leading to an explicit warning not to buy Tintin Reporter until the crucial problems might have been solved.

Beyond the Dawn expands the story of Tales of Arise by 20 hours, which are effectively intertwined with the main game. Ideal for fans who don't expect any dye gameplay innovations.

Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a more than solid spinoff for the successful Yakuza-series. With a satisfying fighting-system, tons of side-activities and the typical Yakuza-humor, Like A Dragon Gaiden make veterans happy and gives newcomers a chance to get into the series easily.

Nintendo didn't provide review codes for "Fashion Dreamer" until release day. No, it's not because the title is that bad, it's just because the online mode didn't work before. Do you want to be challenged, do you expect a complex game system or the best graphics possible on Switch? Then "Fashion Dreamer" will certainly not meet your expectations. However, if you like relaxed gaming experiences, have a soft spot for fashion and rather simplistic life simulations, then "Fashion Dreamer" could be just your thing and you can easily add ten to fifteen points to our rating.

Great gameplay meets limited content and a high price tag. Racket Fury feels like an appetizer in a Michelin-starred restaurant, except that the main course is not yet in sight.

The saying "Firstly, things turn out differently and secondly, than you think" pretty much describes our time with "Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord VR". Neither the setting nor the gameplay were able to captivate us for long. It's fun to do the same with the ghosts, and we had some fun moments in the cooperative mode. However, the gameplay wear and tear is too great to justify the full price.

Thanks to an extensive overall package and good weapon controls, "Crossfire Sierra Squad" is fun. The short levels offer a good opportunity to play the game in small sessions. Nevertheless, Sierra Squad is not enough to make the leap into the front row, especially because of the lousy artificial intelligence.

Codemasters delivers on the track and features some of the most intense and nerve-wrecking rallye-action of the past years. Considering this is the first outing under the new license and with the Unreal-Engine, EA Sports WRC is a more than solid start, but also has its flaws in career-mode and overall balancing and presentation.

With its huge amount of compact and fast mini-games WarioWare: Move it! is an entertaining party game. Solo players can also have some fun in the short story mode, but only when you have at least a second set of Joy-Cons to play together or against others, the game is able to deliver a notable long term motivation.

"RoboCop: Rogue City" looks surprisingly good and can keep up with current triple-A productions in terms of level design. However, there are deductions for the mostly handsome, but very wooden animated character models. In addition, there are unsightly performance and sound problems in the cutscenes. Teyon keeps the story almost a little too close to the film templates, stages it a bit sluggishly and stubbornly marches on well-trodden paths. The gameplay, on the other hand, is fun. The mix of detective role-playing and shooting action motivates until the end thanks to varied levels and decent variety of enemies, even if it lacks a bit of depth overall. A few more skills and more exciting consequences in the dialogue decisions wouldn't have hurt either.
