Jusant is a wonderful gaming experience with an almost meditative flow, supported by an atmospheric soundtrack and almost perfectly balanced game mechanics. Unfortunately, it's already over after about five hours. In the end, however, you are left with a strong message and the great feeling of having achieved something.

For long-time fans who really want to devour all the spin-offs of the franchise, "Last Recollection" is certainly worth a look. However, due to the mixed technical condition and the untapped potential, we cannot give the action RPG an unqualified recommendation for all genre fans.

Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story may not be the biggest release of this winter, but it surely is one to keep an eye on. With its heartwarming story and characters "Song of Nunu" delivers solid platformer-gameplay along with interesting puzzles.

"Journey to Foundation" doesn't play in the league of VR greats like "Resident Evil Village" or "Half Life: Alyx". In film, it would be categorized as a B-movie, and this comparison is apt. The developers were ambitious and offer a good game structure with many elements. The solid story is carried by the game, which mostly offers a lengthy and uninspiring gameplay. Unfortunately, the technical deficits continue to cloud the overall picture, so that the purchase price of around CHF 40 is not justified at this point in time.

"Endless Dungeon" is first and foremost a multiplayer game. In the coordination of the defensive towers and the joint restraint of the horde, the game unfolds its full potential. Together with friends, the negative points, such as the rather minimalist progression system, the meager weapon selection and the fluctuating game balance, are much less significant. For solo players, there are far better roguelikes, making every single playthrough a new, exciting adventure.

"EA Sports UFC 5" is an absolutely worthy successor to its now three-year-old predecessor. Above all, the change from the honorably graying Ignite engine to the Frostbite engine is good for the martial arts series. EA Sports UFC 5 looks great and captures the vibe of UFC matches and events. However, it should also be mentioned at this point that there are sometimes mistakes and unintentionally funny contortions in the hectic fighting. Nevertheless, the confrontations are tactical and at the same time wonderfully powerful: Thanks to the sophisticated body model, punches and kicks leave their mark and have a massive effect on the course of the game. And even if the offline career is treading water, "EA Sports UFC 5" offers plenty of play for the money with its wide roster and diverse options.

Yes, Alan Wake 2 is very linear and we have actually seen more dynamic fights. But the two main characters are just as compelling as the profound story, which in its best moments reminds us of great role models like Stephen King or Twin Peaks. If you're more interested in interactive artful storytelling than breathless dye action, you're in the right place.

Ghostrunner II is an adrenaline-pumping tour de force full of brutal sword fights, challenging platformer passages and high-speed motorbike races. Apart from minor weaknesses, you can expect one of the best (and most difficult) action games of the year.

Sonic Superstars won’t change anyone’s mind on the Sonic franchise, but instead serves as somewhat of a soft reboot.

"Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1" is pure fanservice on the one hand, but on the other hand it is also a welcome trip back into gaming history.

Rough Justice 84 contains loads of 80s retro vibes at least in graphics and score. Altough the gameplay is quite simple and seems slightly repetitive in the long run, it offers a lot of good and innovative approaches, of which one would like to see more.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder might not be as brilliant as Super Mario Galaxy II or similar unique like Odyssey. But the new Mario adventure is a great 2D plattformer with multi-variant levels, perfect control, a huge bandwidth of creative ideas.

No, in its current state we cannot recommend "Tennis On-Court". While the game has a lot of potential, it's not the first time in PS VR2's young history that a half-finished game has been released at launch. It will be interesting to see if the developers are willing to implement the necessary improvements.

The 7th Guest VR is an all-round successful implementation of a somewhat outdated game principle. The game convinces with a coherent game world, its exciting story and an overall good puzzle quality. It's just a shame that the developers don't use haptic feedback and there are some missing comfort options.

In NHL 24, EA Sports focuses on improving the gameplay experience where it matters: On the ice. The addition of the exhaust-engine, the pressure system and the new controls work in favour of the overall gameplay. Unfortunately, NHL 24 lacks improvements in nearly every game-mode, which makes it hard to give the game a recommendation.

If CI Games should solve the performance issues on PS5, Lords of the Fallen is nothing less than one of the best Soulslike games so far. The game might be very similar in some of its basics, but cleverly makes use of its dual-layered game world that makes Lords of the Fallen stand out from the often trite Dark Souls clones.

When playing Total War: Pharaoh, time simply goes by easily. Creative Assembly delivers another outstanding strategy-game, that connects all its aspects well and motivates with constant progression. Despite some minor flaws in the user-guidance-department, Total War: Pharaoh is a must-have-game for every RTS-fan.

The Lamplighter’s League may look like a chance to play out your own pulp adventure fantasy, but it turns out to be an intricate combat puzzle full of synergies and silly combos. While performance can be a bit of an issue and the story fails to leave much of an impact, the core gameplay is fun enough to keep this title memorable. It won’t deliver the instant mainstream appeal something like X-COM will have, but passionate fans of turn-based tactics shouldn’t miss this hidden (albeit slightly unpolished) gem.
