With a clear facelift, Another Code Recollection arrives on the Switch with the burden of satisfying veterans while adapting for the new audience. Its changes are noticeable from the beginning with this variation in the gameplay and the conception of the puzzles. The adventures, linked together as if they were two chapters of the same book, are modified to draw lines that merge them and adapt them to a general narrative (which does not always remain aligned with what was previously seen)

Laika: Aged through blood is one of the most interesting metroidvania in recent years. The combat mechanics with the motorcycle are truly original and, although complicated to handle at first, very satisfying for the player. Special mention to the artistic design and the settings that will dazzle more than one when they take control of the game. If you are a metroidvania fan, do not hesitate to get this game and if you are not and you like challenging games you will also enjoy it a lot.

Ichiban has returned with a bang in one of the best Yakuza saga titles ever made. The charisma of all the characters and the almost absurd variety of missions, activities and mini-games make it a sink of hours at the controls that are impossible to resist. Of course, if you have not played any Yakuza before or the previous Like a dragon it may not be a game for you and you should decide to start with the recent Like a dragon gaiden or with the first Like a dragon starring Ichiban.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is what many fans have been waiting for since the remastering of the previous trilogy was launched in 2019 and the opportunity for non-Nintendo platform users to enjoy the other three titles in the saga that the game offered us. great developer Shu Takumi. The downside is that, unlike the remastering of Ghost Trick: Ghost Detective, another of its wonders that did arrive in Spanish, this time we have to settle for Shakespeare's language again, since Spanish has become to be left out of the equation. A real shame, since although Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice came out in English at the time for Nintendo Switch, Apollo Justice did enjoy a wonderful translation like the other three Nintendo DS titles. I also can't help but not mention the wonderful crossover of Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, which would have been a magnificent finishing touch as an extra in this edition as a spin off. Despite everything, they are three very good games that are worth playing, and that, despite being in English, fortunately it is not particularly difficult English and quite accessible to any intermediate level speaker of the language. The HD facelift is quite noticeable in the first title, while in the other two it is not appreciated too much.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown was an enormous challenge that Ubisoft Montpelier has managed to take on and master. Something as complicated as making a saga that hibernated while waiting for the right moment to wake up shine. Thus, we find a title that is far from the saga that became so popular on PlayStation 2, but returns to its origins with a game that is reminiscent of the original installment of everything, and in which exploration was its pillar. In this way, we find a very fun game that has everything: action, puzzles, platforms, exploration, etc... Where, thanks to a series of exquisitely interconnected maps, you are continually encouraged to explore with very satisfactory results for the player. An adventure that, although the entire focus falls on that triptych (adventures, exploration and platforming), relegates the narrative to something secondary, thus offering us a character that is comfortable to control and who responds really well to command, never leaving us sold or doing something. that we would not want to do. Sargon's adventure can take us, depending on how skilled we are, between 20 and 25 hours to finish. The game has also a Deluxe edition that includes an amulet that will warn us when a secret is nearby and a new appearance for Sargon.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is an opportunity to enjoy the game in its maximum splendor for those who did not enjoy the game in their day and for those who already played it, it is an option to try these new additions for €10, since that is the price of the update if you have the PS4 version (both physically and digitally). While it is true that these additions may not be everything that was expected from Naughty Dog, it is not too high a price to try them.

Ubisoft had a complicated task and that was to translate the perceptions of a world they had created for the film medium. However, based on her experience with open worlds, she seemed at the same time best suited for such a task. In this way, Frontiers of Pandora stands out as the best conversion of Avatar to the world of video games (we must not forget the 2009 title). The story that develops throughout the adventure is not very different from what we have known (good guys against bad guys), although they have already confirmed that it is canonical and that it will be related to the events of the third film. What stands out most is the volcano's love for recreating Pandora and its cultures. Thus, the gameplay is nourished by an incredible setting in which you want to move continuously (whether on land or in the air). Being able to embody a Na'vi and learn from their customs, in the end, becomes one of the best points of the game, allowing us to feel more and more involved in what is happening to that place. Although not everything is perfect, the simple story is complemented by some rather irregular animations and a Spanish dubbing.

Unscored - Born of Bread
Dec 11, 2023

Born Of Bread is a tribute to classic RPGs that those who have enjoyed titles like Paper Mario or Undertale will love. The story covers important themes ranging from the growth of the characters to the meaning of family unity, always seasoned with a lot of humor and surrealism. If you are a lover of turn-based RPGs, do not hesitate to approach this title because it will give you everything you need.

The Kindeman Remedy is a truly addictive game despite its apparent simplicity. It is very normal to start a game and for time to pass very quickly, since you will find yourself involved in a dynamic that will not leave you many moments of respite. If we add to that the macabre humor that it exudes in abundance, we find a very interesting proposal for all those players who enjoy simulation games, but this time with a much more adult tone.

Age of Sigmar: Realms of ruin is presented for multiple players: those fans who end up attracted by the story and its world, those who want to enjoy the tactical combat and those who will use this as an entry into the saga. With its own style, this real-time strategy game shows decent gameplay, having a lot of good ideas, but they are weighed down by some decisions. Of course, the story is solid and fun, offering between twelve and fifteen hours of games (depending on skill). The variety of situations will challenge the player who, after learning the controls, will be able to face the different modes, Conquest being one of the most complicated if you do not choose the level well. The creative aspect ends up being magnificent, due to the amount of possibilities in terms of scenario design and army configuration. It is not a perfect game, but fans will enjoy seeing their figures in motion, while tactics lovers will test their skills.

Persona 5 Tactica is the new tactical style RPG from the Japanese developer Atlus. An installment that follows the story of the Phantom Thieves after the events of P5 Strikers. A title that develops gameplay different from the previous ones with a completely chibi artistic style and a soundtrack inspired by previous installments. A decent and entertaining game, but it doesn't add much to the saga's journey either.

Unscored - Super Mario RPG
Nov 21, 2023

Super Mario RPG was a moment of reflection in the franchise and was the precursor of what we now know as the “Mario & Luigi” franchise, highly recommended games whose latest installments were the respective remakes of their first two DS adventures for the 3DS. If you have played the latter and you play Super Mario RPG, you will notice flashes and small details of this franchise in it. Super Mario RPG is a fun adventure to enjoy for all lovers of classic role-playing games, it is a very simple and accessible game for all audiences that will also make us enjoy and laugh with very good times of fun. In conclusion, an adventure that may well be simple and short; so if you are looking for great strategies, study of strengths, weaknesses and weak points as well as great challenges (basic components in an RPG), it may fall a bit short, but if on the other hand you are looking to have a good time with a game With large doses of fun and playable surprises, this is your game, since they are things that urge the player to continue advancing in the story and discover the secret behind the 7 shooting stars and the new enemy that has invaded the mushroom world during the 10-11 hours that the adventure lasts.

Unscored - Flashback 2
Nov 19, 2023

Flashback 2 invites us to discover how the adventures of Conrad B. Hart and his journey to save humanity from an imminent alien invasion continued, ignoring Fade to Black, which was, until now, its second official part. It was difficult, but we can proudly say that Microids has done a good job bringing us the essence of that game that amazed us more than 30 years ago. An adventure that, at the launch date, has some bugs, some quite serious and others not so much, but despite this, it gives us great moments of fun that make this adventure a must-have to play for anyone who enjoyed it in their childhood. with the delivery of Megadrive/Super Nintendo and wants to enjoy the same style of game again, but with the renewed aspects of current technology. In short, a recommendable game, but one that you will enjoy more once its most serious bugs have been fixed. To all this, Flashback 2 can be finished in a modest 6-7 hours, it has no difficulty levels so the only incentive to replay it is if we want to get all the collectibles.

Unscored - The Last Faith
Nov 16, 2023

With The Last Faith we will find a very entertaining adventure that will make us suffer and enjoy in equal parts in a game that will be challenging but fair. The Last Faith amuses, we do not deny that, but it does not risk betting on several formulas already experienced in other games of the genre that convey a final sensation that we are playing a conglomerate of games already experienced where comparisons will be inevitable and that will make We let out on more than one occasion a "I've already experienced this" with a continuous déjà vu.

Unscored - American Arcadia
Nov 15, 2023

American Arcadia is a surprising proposal that all adventure lovers will especially like and who of course enjoyed Call Of The Sea. The mix of a platform game with a first-person graphic adventure works like a charm, thanks above all to some puzzles that, without being very challenging, will keep you looking for a solution for a while. In addition, the narrative and character construction shines with its own light and makes the immersion in the game even more pronounced. It seems that Out Of The Blue Games continues to evolve to improve its formula that both audiences and critics already liked in Call Of The Sea.

Unscored - Let's Sing 2024
Nov 14, 2023

What can we say about the incombustible Let's Sing that we don't already know! Let's Sing 2024 offers us a good alternative to give as a gift and enjoy in the company of our loved ones during the sweet evenings that are to come, come on, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve and Epiphany. You just have to take a look at the list of songs to see if they convince you, and if not, you can always pay the subscription to the VIP club to enjoy the new songs that come out. I am not very in favor of this type of subscriptions, but I admit that paying for the month on a special occasion at a certain time such as a big party can be very fun, or if we are very sing-songs, pay for the annual pass. The decision (and your musical destiny) is in your hands!

It is clear that this Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name! It is a minor title within the Yakuza saga, but it is still very fun and full of content as is usual in RGG Studio titles. It can be a good entry point to the saga due to its noticeably shorter duration than usual and its much smaller scale than previous games. And to the fan of the saga there is no need to even recommend it because they will almost certainly play it and devour it.

Marvel's Spiderman 2 is a continuation on par with its predecessors with small improvements that further enhance the saga. The gameplay will be very similar to the one already seen, with the Venom suit with its particular characteristics being what will make the difference. A good story mixed with other less interesting additions such as collecting objects or less entertaining secondary missions, but they do not tarnish the whole. In addition, it has impressive graphics and a soundtrack to match, making the game a delight to behold. Without a doubt, if you are fans of Marvel and its arachnid hero, it is a game that you will enjoy for the almost 20 hours that it will last, a little more if you want to get the platinum.

Song of Nunu: A League of Legends Story is a simple game, no ingenuity is required to overcome the tests and it is quite linear, with no option for exploration, collecting items or secondary missions. The adventure focuses solely on Nunu and Willump and their friendship relationship. We will meet characters from the LoL lore that are related to the Freljord region with whom we will interact a lot and who will give us interesting missions. The game time is short, around 8 hours, much less if you don't stop to look for the collectibles or get stuck in some area. It is a game that League of Legends fans may like to get to know the character a little better and live a parallel adventure although closely related to his lore, since it explains some important details about the protagonists.

After an initial title published in 2021 that laid the foundations, Milestone once again takes the reins of the project to offer a delivery that seeks to add new features and complete a larger project. And it is true that everything has increased. The story mode presents one that, with a childish touch, gives a justification to the races we take. The game modes have grown and the number of vehicles (in addition to the classes) is more than a hundred, which I am sure will increase based on some DLC (some already available). In addition, the mechanics have been expanded, adding more possibilities to the circuits and the player, who can create their own. If you are one of those who enjoyed the first installment, you will find this a more than satisfactory continuation and, if you like the brand, you will discover in collecting a motivation to stay in it. Of course, it is a shame that they leave the expansion of levels through the creative mode in the hands of the community (which is a wonder in itself), in addition to the fact that the added skills do not quite feel new within the arcade style. That is why at times it makes us think of other titles that are more complete.
