Much of this was already applicable to the predecessors of this fifth part, so there are question marks about this annual update. If you don't necessarily need to have the latest team updates and racer names, you can also work with one of the earlier parts. This fifth part is therefore especially a must for the die hard fans.

After the Fall is a fine VR-shooter if you're up for blasting some zombies with your friends. The gunplay is good and the Snowbreeds that are coming to kill you will haunt your nightmares. It's a shame the game lacks variety and is pretty short to boot.

While there are certainly still things to note about the game, WWE 2K22 is a decent improvement over its predecessor. The gameplay runs much smoother which makes the battles feel more realistic and also look more natural. Unfortunately, this has come at the expense of extensive customizations in both characters and entrances. Despite the few bugs and crashes, WWE 2K22 is a big step in the right direction.

This game tries to do a lot. It re-tells the story of the very first Final Fantasy, but is also an Origin story. It tries to pay homage to 35 years of FF games, but also provide a new experience. It wants to be a Souls game, but without the Souls difficulty, a hacker-slasher and a loot game. Against a backdrop of sub-par graphics, some choices work, some don't. The combat is pretty good, while the graphics, level design and story let down. This entry to the Final Fantasy multiverse won't be for the ages.

With the next-gen version Rockstar has brought us the ultimate version of Grand Theft Auto 5. The graphics have been improved a lot, the loading times are much faster and the PS5-version even has a couple of features for the DualSense controller. The question, however, is whether you want to replay the same adventure again, as there is no new content, nor any improvements or additions to the gameplay. A version purely made for newcomers or true fans of GTA 5.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a great adventure that's great to play. The colorful design brings this 3D Kirby adventure to life, while additions like the mouthful powers add are a fun new twist to the gameplay. It's a shame the co-op is a bit poor due to player 2 not getting the full range of powers. Nonetheless, this is a Kirby game that is worth your time!

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands looks a lot like Borderlands 3 and plays a bit like it as well. Luckily, the Wonderlands offers up a fantastic setting full of great enemies and humor that hits a lot better. It's a shame the Overworld feels so unnecessary, although there is plenty of fun to have thanks to the bigger focus on customization.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is a thrilling paranormal rollercoaster with ups and downs. Exploring the city of Tokyo is fun and defeating your first few enemies is a blast, its flaws also become apparent very quickly. The game lacks enemy variety and the same goes for Akito's weapon arsenal. Ghostwire gets a little repetitive and sadly doesn't find a way to fix that problem before the credits roll.

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut is one of the most interesting and tightly written stories we've seen in a video game. It also offers a freedom and impact that puts Telltale Games in a bad light. Slightly clumsy controls and a bug here and there does not prevent us from enjoying this absurdist spectacle to the fullest.

Ubisoft Sofia has delivered such a big expansion with Dawn of Ragnarok that it can almost be seen as a new game. Especially since the story of Eivor does not continue, but rather the saga of Odin is told. During the approximately fifteen-hour story you will encounter some missions that feel familiar, but it should not spoil the fun.

Despite not being able to play the game online, we had a lot of fun with the other options. And while it's a shame that the storyline isn't very extensive, that doesn't apply to the offering. The very fact that each character works completely differently is a breath of fresh air in a landscape of clones and makes the game feel like a complete package. Measuring against the two currently occupying the throne isn't happening yet, but if you're simply looking for a good game of fighting with some depth, then you've come to the right place!

Simply put, Destiny 2 The Witch Queen makes Destiny 2 finally what it should have always been. With improvements in almost every area, a brilliantly crafted setting, and an exceptional story, Bungie is reaching new heights with Destiny 2. It's just a bit of a shame that two subclasses are now in danger of disappearing into obscurity, but bungie is already working on that.

Not that the races and activities served in the café are boring, but at some point you just want to race those hyper-luxury cars. Those who can bite through this will be presented with a beautiful racer with a huge amount of content in available cars, tracks and locations that are a pleasure to drive.

Despite the fact that Chocobo GP looks nice and the many characters are original with unique abilities and own vehicles, the game is otherwise mainly borrowed from the other tracers. Fortunately, there is good borrowing and all the elements present are well worked out. The game only lacks levels and that will eventually cause a flat tire, just before the game overtakes the competitors.

The ambition for Elden Ring was great at FromSoftware, but the Japanese developer has fulfilled all the promises and added to that. All the lessons that the studio has learned in the past year have come together in one game and can rightly be called the Magnum Opus from FromSoftware.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is somewhere between reenacting historically accurate events and pure fiction. The characters seem to have run straight out of legends but, according to tradition, really existed. The different scenarios that you can re-enact also have their basis in Chinese history. It is amazing how well the strategy and action work together and influence each other.

GRID Legends positions itself firmly between the pure arcade racers and the real racing SIMS and feels very comfortable there. The races are largely no-nonsense, but do not require in-depth knowledge under the hood. The racing itself is very satisfying and offers quite a few cars to race on a diverse number of tracks and locations. If expansion is desired anywhere, it is mainly there, in the number of locations.

Dying Light 2 has proven itself as a brilliant zombie game. There is a lot to do and things to enjoy. Your own personal story based on choices you make is great, but this can sometimes lead to some strange twists and turns. The game occasionally drops a stitch in terms of story, but more than straightens itself out with the great parkour and combat.

OlliOlli World is an amazing skateboarding experience through a Cartoon Network-like world. Almost every aspect of this game is enjoyable, except for the dialogues and the not-so-interesting story.
