Metal Hellsing is a title that succeeds in combining FPS and rhythm game more than well, giving us an extremely adrenaline-fuelled and entertaining experience. The real highlight of the work, however, is not so much the gameplay, which is nevertheless valid and well thought-out, but a soundtrack created ad hoc of the highest value. An impressive work, absolutely essential for every metal lover and not to be underestimated by anyone else.

Conceived as an obvious commercial gimmick due to the popularity the work quickly gained, The Last of Us Part 1 is anything but a dishonest and lazily developed piece of work. It is an immense act of love towards fans; a way to match, and in some cases come close to, the aesthetics, technique and gameplay of the astonishing The Last of Us Part 2.

If you've jumped at breakneck speed to this point to decide whether or not to buy Saints Row on the basis of the little number on the side, know that you've made a huge mistake. Volition's new production is a good restart for the series, both in terms of narrative and in terms of rethinking the gameplay. Saints Row's real flaws are all to be found in an endless series of bugs due to a failure to clean up the final code.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the epitome of the experience Monolith Soft has gathered over these hectic years on Nintendo Switch, for better or worse. We have finally managed to achieve a technically more than presentable title that at the same time features a peculiar but effective combat system.

If you were hoping for a truly complete and well-made game, Stray makes no claim to be so. It feels like a perfect summer break, but with obvious flaws on the game design side. It's obviously not for everyone, and perhaps the low price on Steam at launch may tempt you to buy it, but take it as it comes: a nice diversion from the vast amount of games that take you hours and hours of gridning. Tackle it lightly and you won't be disappointed, or at least not entirely.

F1 22 continues the good work seen with F1 2021, introducing several improvements to the game's physics system while making the whole experience even more accessible for newcomers to the genre. It's not a revolution, but Codemasters' will seems to be to further improve year after year, trying to experiment with something new like the super cars, which even if they don't offer any particular changes, they still manage to provide something new to the game structure.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredder Revenge is not only a constant celebration of the 1987 animated series, and of the videogame productions dedicated to it in those years, but it is, above all, an excellent horizontally scrolling Beat 'Em Up

The Quarry is simply a perfect return to a horror atmosphere that Supermassive knows how to do so well. It's by no means a revolutionary masterpiece, it still has some historical flaws for the studio, but it's a well-executed homage to a horror genre that still has weapons to show, if used wisely. It was not an easy task, but The Quarry managed to give us an unforgettable stay in the woods, with plenty of choices to go through and relive over and over again to delve into its well-hidden mystery.

Mario Strikers Battle League Football not only succeeds in bringing Nintendo's famous football series back into vogue with a chapter that is solid in almost every aspect, but above all succeeds in distancing itself from the experience offered by Camelot's Mario Tennis and Mario Golf dilogies.

MLB The Show 22 has no competition, and it's still the best console experience for baseball fans, even if it's hard to see any major changes this year. San Diego Studio has been busy adding content, fine-tuning some of the most popular modes, but above all, it has focused heavily on online co-op. Expanding the user base has also required a recalibration of the difficulty and onboarding process for new players who will be able to customise their experience more accurately. Graphically, there's still plenty of room for improvement to make the games more involving, and unfortunately they can't even count on a varied and punctual commentary.

With 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim developers Vanillaware have achieved their most ambitious work yet. A combination of different genres that surprisingly manages to walk hand in hand, supporting a great narrative experience that should be enjoyed by any fan of time-travelling stories, paranormal elements and introspective dramas with a typically Japanese style. The portability on Nintendo Switch is also a perfect match for the pace of the game's missions and single narrative sessions. If you've already enjoyed it on PS4, this version offers nothing new. If not, this is the perfect opportunity to pick up this precious gem.
