Red Solstice 2: Survivors Ultimate Edition is a content-rich package that unfortunately carries with it the problems of the past. The great underlying repetitiveness and the lack of clarity of the mechanics, combined with a really skimpy tactical compartment and a not-so-memorable storyline, lead the Ironward title to be recommended only and exclusively to those who can play together with a group of friends, an experience that gives a better and new light to the overall interaction.

Big Helmet Heroes is the perfect title to take a break and have fun with a friend, thanks to the local co-op mode. The number of weapons and moves available guarantees several hours of fun in a world that doesn't take itself too seriously. It was needed!

Eternal Strands is a bittersweet experience. While we have a very good and consistent handling of the protagonist's magical abilities, the underlying repetitiveness and excessive resource grinding required to be able to continue dampens the enthusiasm generated by the beautiful and colossal boss fights present.

Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist is the direct sequel to Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. The game offers nothing particularly new, but provides a challenging, adrenaline-pumping and fascinating second adventure. Music and scenery are wonderful, as is the carefully crafted design of characters and enemies. To complete Binary Haze's metroidvania requires reasoning and skills in equal measure. The overall difficulty level might be frustrating for the less determined, for everyone else it is an immersive experience from which it is difficult to detach oneself before reaching the end credits.

The remastered Star Wars: Episode I - Jedi Power Battles is the relaunch of a very, very dated game. Dated in structure, in gameplay, in animations. In everything. The improved graphics, cleaned-up soundtrack, and new extra content make this version more dignified, but the game still remains an object of mystery: is there really any point in relaunching even the most mediocre games of the past without even trying to fix the problems?

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth lands on PC just under a year after its release on PlayStation 5, and the news is that it's a really good porting. Admittedly, it's not a flawless piece of work, but neither is it as bad as the previous chapter in the trilogy.

Symphonia is a work that aims at the heart through music, offering a unique experience. Despite some limitations in duration and narrative, the title manages to distinguish itself through its straightforward gameplay, inspired design and excellent soundtrack.

If you've never had the chance to play the original 2010 Donkey Kong Country Returns, this HD re-release is a great opportunity, and we recommend everyone buy it if you really want to immerse yourself in this saga - before moving on to Tropical Freeze. On the other hand, DKCR HD has very little of the HD, and the launch price is not justified by the work done. So if the grade for the game is quite high, this is inevitably tempered by the absence of really significant new features.

Copycat is an emotional indie video game that tells the story of a cat adopted by the elderly Olive, tackling universal themes such as loneliness, belonging and affection. The player follows Dawn's emotional journey, between touching moments and the search for a place in the world, exploring the bonds between man and animal. With a compelling narrative and delicate artistic direction, the game stands out despite technical limitations and linear gameplay. The high-quality soundtrack and voice acting amplify the experience, making Copycat a short but meaningful emotional journey, recommended for lovers of deep stories.

Void Sols is a fresh, enjoyable and challenging soulslike title. It mixes a unique graphic style with innovative gameplay, which sends the player into a breathtaking and, above all, fun experience.

Metal Slug Tactics fuses tradition and innovation, adapting the iconic gameplay of the series to the context of strategic roguelike. Fast-paced action and controlled chaos are expertly blended with tactical elements, character progression and demanding challenges. The player faces the return of General Morden, using unique character abilities and interesting mechanics such as dynamic cover, synchronisation of attacks and judicious resource management. However, the game is characterised by a high level of difficulty and an over-reliance on unpredictability, which penalises strategic planning. Instead, it shines with a visual style faithful to the saga and an evocative soundtrack, although it suffers from repetitiveness in the maps and missions.

Uncle Chop's Rocket Shop is a simulative roguelite as ambitious as it is original, perhaps a little too brutal for its own learning curve but packed with quality content to offer. Recommended on handheld systems (Switch, Steam Deck).

Mistwalker confirms all its talent in this re-release of the acclaimed JRPG. A practically perfect experience for all lovers of the classics, which manages not to fall into mere nostalgia and modernizes a winning formula just enough to not distort it.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered brings back two great titles from the past, to good effect. Although some of the gameplay and design elements are very old-fashioned today, the dark charm of Nosgoth and the story of Raziel remain must-see moments for a true gaming fan, who must nevertheless, as mentioned above, come to terms with some thoroughly un-modern elements.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide proves to be a solid and engaging co-op experience, offering hours of fast-paced action in a dark and dangerous world. It is not without its flaws, with some balancing and AI issues, but overall it is a rewarding experience that will make every player feel part of an apocalyptic war where survival is a miracle.

Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is a splendid adventure game, in which the spirit of the iconic archaeologist played by Harrison Ford emerges in all its splendour. A long but never exhausting adventure, even during some slightly more difficult puzzles, made of the same perfect ingredients that made the character great on film. The only pity is an artificial intelligence that spoils much of the immersiveness during the exploration phases, negatively affecting realism. Net of this, however, we are faced with the best Indiana Jones game since the still unreachable Fate of Atlantis.

Spirit Mancer peut être qualifié d'opération réussie. Le jeu est amusant et offre sa propre idée de décors et de graphismes innovants, rompant avec le hack-and-slash habituel.

Ravenswatch is a game that puts gameplay and fun (especially together with other friends) first. The goal of Passtech Games has been almost completely achieved, were it not for the challenge rate that might discourage single players and a storyline that is not too engaging. Nevertheless, the new game published by Nacon should definitely be considered if one is looking for a roguelike product that is direct and immediate in its mechanics.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is packed with content and modes, and taking flight in its hundreds of aircraft is incredible. The landscapes are beautiful to look at, as are the aircraft models, and the network connection for meterelogic data acquisition succeeds in delivering a feeling of continuous realism. Too bad about the disastrous day one, but Asobo is working hard to improve a situation that could have jeopardised the game's launch.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl brings back one of the most iconic FPSs of the last 20 years. Despite the time that has passed, the guys at GSC Game World have created a worthy successor to the first chapter. The team decided not to distort the series, maintaining a high level of difficulty compared to other modern shooters. Each step into the Exclusion Zone could be our last: not only because of the creatures and enemies that will try to kill us, but also because of the atmospheric and radioactive anomalies that will put our survival skills to the test. On the side we find an excellent graphic and sound compartment even if there are several technical problems and bugs that we hope will be solved in a short time.
