PowerWash Simulator 2: Adventure Time Pack is a DLC that does exactly what it promises: it takes the series’ tried-and-tested formula and adapts it with great respect to one of the most beloved animated universes of recent years. It doesn’t reinvent the game, it doesn’t introduce any major structural changes, and perhaps it could have been a bit more daring in terms of its audio and narrative presentation. But it more than makes up for this with focused art direction, well-constructed levels and a cleverly measured dose of fan service.

The console version of Hades 2 proves once again to be the perfect roguelike. This title from Supergiant Games offers virtually flawless gameplay, where everything works as it should, thanks in part to the quality-of-life improvements and rebalancing carried out following player feedback. If you haven’t had the chance to play Hades 2 on PC or Nintendo Switch, you absolutely mustn’t miss out on the console version.

Minos is an atypical roguelite that blends dungeon building, puzzles, and real-time strategy. The game reimagines the myth of the Minotaur, placing players in the shoes of the title's bull-human hybrid monster, and having them design defensive labyrinths against hordes of invaders.

Grime II is a strong sequel, flawed but absolutely worthy of attention. It excels in combat, atmosphere, and art direction, but is less convincing in exploration and narrative construction. It doesn't reinvent the wheel of the Metroidvania or the Soulslike, but it takes familiar elements and combines them with enough personality to make for an engaging experience. It's perhaps slightly less strange and unique than the first Grime, and in that sense, it loses something of its uniqueness. Yet it remains a remarkable game, capable of offering memorable battles, a disturbing and fascinating world, and an aesthetic identity that few other titles in the genre can match.

The Occultist is a work that expertly blends puzzles and exploration in a compelling and mysterious setting. DALOAR's debut work entertains and encourages you to continue your investigation to fully understand what Godstone Island holds. The only drawback is its very limited running time and its technical performance, which is at times lacking.

People of Note is a turn-based music RPG that combines Kpop Demon Hunters, Rock of Ages, Persona, Final Fantasy, and Expedition 33: an original and fun crossover, although it fails to rise to the ranks of the genre's great experimenters due to obvious structural and pacing limitations. Accompanying Cadence as she searches for her band members, we experience a fantasy adventure exploring different musical genres, including explosive duets, environmental puzzles, and mysterious characters. The graphic style and character designs are exquisite, as are the songs. The turn-based combat, however, is more based on numbers than on music and rhythm. The game has style, but it should be taken for what it is: an indie title that will allow you to while away several hours of fun without too many expectations.

Darwin's Paradox! is an original and visually captivating cinematic platformer, with a likable narrative, a compelling protagonist, and solid platforming and puzzle sections. Its biggest letdowns are the stealth elements, which slow down the pace, along with some technical imperfections and limited length. While it doesn't quite reach the best of the genre, it's still an enjoyable adventure and recommended for those looking for something light, creative, and unconventional.

Xenonauts 2 is one of the most interesting and successful attempts to breathe new life into the spirit of the classic UFO/X-COM in a contemporary form. There are games that strive at all costs to be modern. And there are games that simply aim to be really, really good. Xenonauts 2 clearly falls into the latter category.

Life is Strange: Reunion is a game that draws on both heart and soul, returning to its roots to look to the future. Max and Chloe have grown up, but their destinies remain intertwined. The relationship between the two protagonists is at the heart of the story, fueled by the investigation that leads the player to solve a mystery and prevent a devastating fire at Caledon University. There aren't any major new gameplay changes, but the story is intriguing and fills the approximately 10-hour game well. Those who loved playing the introverted young photographer will enjoy this new story alongside the colorful-haired girl. Welcome home, all of us, in a way.

Screamer is a bold and exciting arcade racer that stands out among the many similar titles in the video game landscape. Milestone has made bold choices, and most of them work well, with the exception of a story with slightly overly wordy dialogue. The races are original and challenging, and once you understand all its mechanics, mastering them is very satisfying. Completing the experience is a clean and realistic visual style, combined with anime-style characters.

Clean Up Earth is a project with a heart of gold, but its mechanics are fragile. The idea of combining relaxation with real-life activism, transforming in-game progress into actual donations to NGOs, is laudable and gives the title exceptional educational potential. However, stripped of its noble purpose, Magic Pockets' game struggles to compete with the genre's giants. Crushed by a lackluster aesthetic and sound, and weighed down by gameplay that quickly becomes repetitive, Clean Up Earth is an adventure that risks quickly tiring solo players, finding its true meaning only when played cooperatively or as an educational tool.

We've thought about it, but Ascendance doesn't even manage to earn a 6, in our opinion. The developers' love for the Legacy of Kain saga is evident in the lore and the narrative structure. Everything else, however, is truly lacking. Ascendance is a very weak game, never fun or entertaining; it's playable from start to finish, but don't expect this to be the game that will resurrect Raziel from his eternal slumber.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is a highly successful remake, probably the best way to relive this historic installment today. It doesn't offer a memorable narrative or a particularly rich single-player offering outside of World Stage, but it makes up for it with a still-exceptional combat system, an online experience that's finally up to date, and a very solid technical implementation even on Switch 2. For those who want to rediscover the series or rediscover it in its most refined form, it's really hard to ask for more.

Super Meat Boy 3D marks a triumphant return for the little, battered meat-and-bone man. It’s a game that’s just as brutal as we expected – in some cases even too much so, due to a few shortcomings in the level design and perspective. Despite this, it’s a spectacular game: get ready to break a few controllers, because your patience will be put to the test right from the very first levels.

Crimson Desert represents an impressive milestone in the open-world genre, offering a virtually endless array of things to explore, activities to undertake and enemies to face. However, it is not a perfect game: there are moments when the clarity of the mechanics and the user-friendly nature of a title of this scale seem to disappear. Many games promise too much and then disappoint. Crimson Desert is not one of them.

Icarus arrives on consoles and sets the tone straight away: forget about relaxing strolls; this is a survival game from Dean Hall featuring a magnetic yet ruthless gameplay loop, where devastating storms and ferocious predators will keep you constantly on your toes. Planning every move to survive the relentless environmental physics will give you an unrivalled adrenaline rush. However, be prepared to battle against a technical side that’s still a bit shaky: noticeable frame drops, clunky menus and a truly slow early-game farming phase risk melting your wax wings before their time. Despite these flaws and a bestiary that is at times inconsistent, Icarus remains a fascinating hardcore experience, recommended without reservation to veterans of the genre; novices, however, are warned: the fall could be disastrous.

New Super Lucky’s Tale returns with an updated and improved version of the game’s first re-release, refining the technical aspects just enough to bring it up to date. These are minor changes, but they’re welcome nonetheless, giving the game a fresh lease of life. Admittedly, the difficulty level remains low for most of the adventure, but if you’re looking for a light-hearted, undemanding platformer, New Super Lucky’s Tale is the game for you.

Bungie's latest game, Marathon, marks the return of a historic franchise in a whole new way, transforming it into an extraction shooter. The result is better than we expected, after the initial cold sensations (and initial hours of general confusion): the shooting is excellent, the atmosphere and art direction are striking, even if getting into this world is not at all easy. Unfortunately, two major questions remain: the content is currently limited, and above all... how long will it really last?

Ghost of Yōtei: Legends may not shine in terms of its narrative, but it makes up for this with solid gameplay, a well-designed structure and excellent presentation. Furthermore, the fact that new content is on the way makes it even more appealing in the medium term. If you own Ghost of Yōtei, this is an expansion that is definitely worth trying out.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach remains a divisive experience, true to Hideo Kojima’s artistic vision. Months after its release on PS5 and with its PC debut, the game continues to spark debate due to its unique approach: it does not aim for instant entertainment, but rather to evoke emotions through gameplay. Kojima’s latest work stands out for its successful blend of atmosphere, storytelling, symbolism and audiovisual impact, underpinned by the excellent Decima Engine. The PC port, developed by Nixxes Software, is technically excellent: smooth performance, support for modern technologies such as DLSS, FSR and Ray Tracing, as well as extensive graphical customisation. The gameplay remains deliberately slow-paced and serves the narrative. Compared to the first instalment, environmental variety and technical quality have improved, though without revolutionising the formula. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a unique and captivating experience, particularly for those who appreciate a contemplative pace and a strong authorial voice.
