GameFM's Reviews
For Honor is a good game and a good debut for Ubisoft in a new genre. The game features combat in open, open-ended, yet limited settings, and uses three clans, with a system of 12 distinct classes, with good variety and combination. Aside from a few issues, such as the confusing and cluttered menus, the adventure is worth checking out and enjoying for those who enjoy the multiplayer combat genre.

Yakuza 0 is a good place to start if you want to get to know the series now, but it's also a treat for fans, as it stays true to what the series represents. There's a lot of content to explore and check out, and the graphics get better with each version. Kazuma is well represented on Sony's current generation of consoles, and you'll have hours and hours of fun playing the game controlling the guy – in a good way, of course.

Capcom deserves congratulations. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is everything you wanted and more. From start to finish, the game will keep you glued to the screen. When it's over, you'll want to play it again, do it differently, try something else, or play on a higher difficulty. The "fear" is at a high level and the story never lets up at any point. Beautiful graphics and respectable content make this one of the best in the series. It's worth remembering that the PS4 version is still compatible with PS VR, which makes everything even scarier. Go for it without fear. Or with it. Well, you get the idea.

Final Fantasy XV is truly a “Final Fantasy for new and old fans,” as the first screen we see when the game opens says, more or less. All 10 years of production seem to have been worth it compared to the product we find. Noctis is a charismatic character, as are his story, friends and the lessons the game teaches us. The combats are fierce and interesting and the graphics show that this is a true Final Fantasy, which is here to stay and should dictate the course of the series for years to come.

NBA 2KVR is an interesting and very different experience, but it doesn't last long. Even so, the affordable price can please those looking for quick fun, not to mention that it is recommended for basketball lovers. The “game” is made up of minigames and progression with coins that the player earns.

Steep seems to suffer from that “illness” that every first Ubisoft game in a new series has. It’s a good game, but it has the potential to be even better, which leads us to believe that a possible sequel should be released with even more care. The gameplay is “ok”, but the progression made us feel strange holding the controller in our hands. Aside from that, the multiplayer is well done and the visuals are impressive.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is one of the best games of the year and perhaps one of the best of its genre, although this “genre” is not clear – is it an RPG? Is it a stealth game? An action game? Or an FPS? It doesn’t really matter, what matters here is that it is a production full of quality and has a lot to offer for newcomers and veterans alike.

Mafia III does a good job of setting itself apart from previous games in the series, but it doesn't draw much inspiration from the gameplay, which makes the title seem "generic" in the long run. However, those who enjoy a good story will love it, especially for the issues it addresses and the consequences it brings to the character Lincoln Clay. It's worth checking out for those who enjoy open-world games and for those who prefer that plot over near-perfect gameplay.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is back. Very good graphics, fun gameplay, a good cast, all modes and extras sold separately in the original edition, and all for a very fair price, fairer than we imagined it would be. So, if you liked it when it came out in the previous generation, and were sad that it was gone from the market, keep an eye out. Oh, and PC and Xbox One owners don't need to be sad, because this re-release will also appear there, even if it takes a while – only in March 2017.

Eagle Flight is, for now, the best game that PS VR has in its collection. The most interesting thing is that it is cheap compared to others, around US$ 30 in the console's online store, and offers a very complete package of the experience of flying freely just by moving your head. The simulation with VR works well, despite some "natural" impediments that remain in the player's view, which is the view of the eagle itself.

Batman Arkham VR is, in fact, a missed opportunity. Which is a shame, because in addition to fans of the character expecting something better and more complex, the game wastes the opportunity to be a true game in the Arkham series with the PS VR, and not just a kind of “luxury demo”. The price may not be worth it in Brazil, despite being more affordable abroad. Still, it can be worth it as a curiosity to show what it’s like to play with the accessory, and nothing more than that.

Telltale's Batman does a good job of reimagining the beginning of Batman's career, even though it has flaws in its technical execution. However, there are interesting changes to the character's lore, such as his first encounter with Catwoman, in addition to the fact that we have a Penguin who is Bruce Wayne's childhood friend. Bruce, by the way, is a great central character and much more interesting than Batman, in this case. The only thing missing was a little more inspiration in the controls and graphics engine to make it truly worthy of the hero, who is one of the icons of comics.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon have achieved something that seemed impossible: renewing the Pokémon series. We can't consider them better or worse than previous games, especially the excellent Gold, Silver, X, Y, Black and White, for example. They are simply different and truly innovative experiences, in a way that you've never seen the series before. A small detail here and there may be annoying, but nothing that takes away the shine of this latest work from The Pokémon Company.

As a good adaptation, Attack on Titan has excellent controls and makes the player feel like they are actually in command of the troops to deal with the titans. There is considerable extra content and the player will enjoy taking down titans throughout the missions. It is true that the graphics could be better, but it is nothing that will detract from the overall experience.

Watch Dogs 2 was what the series needed to get rid of the bitter taste of the first one. The game was remade from scratch and rethought as a “first adventure”, despite the number coming soon after. It has references to the original, but does everything differently and better, starting with the more charismatic protagonist. Good graphics, an interesting soundtrack and excellent voice acting complete the package. If you don’t mind repetitive missions, go ahead and start hacking.

It's true that Just Dance 2017 lacks any really relevant new features, but it remains true to what it is: a simple and fun dance game. It will please those who were already happy with what was released last year and it also has the "new setlist" factor to give that taste of new content.

World of Final Fantasy pays homage to the series well and uses classic characters intelligently. The “cute” look may put off those who prefer more serious and “down-to-earth” games, but since it is a true Final Fantasy, one should not demand too much in terms of realism or a setting that is more similar to our world. It is a fantasy and that is how it should be.

The new Hitman doesn't do anything bad or offend the classic series and its legacy. Those who were expecting a reboot of the character, like what happened in Devil May Cry, for example, can rest assured, because this one is completely classic and original. There are a few problems here and there, but the final version, with all the chapters, didn't disappoint in any way.

Although we haven't noticed a huge graphical improvement compared to the last game, NBA 2K17 manages to be eye-catching in a positive way and please fans of the sport. This year's additions were spot on, improvements are always welcome and the gameplay is completely enjoyable and fits very well with the PS4 or Xbox One controls and does its job well. NBA 2K17 deserves its current position as market leader and shouldn't be leaving it any time soon, since there is no rival of the same caliber currently available – even though some have tried. In the meantime, the public is grateful.

The King of Fighters XIV isn't perfect. Its visual presentation falls short of its competitors, and the story mode is far from exciting. However, in terms of content, gameplay, and accessibility, it delivers more than most recent fighting games. SNK has done its homework and delivered a complete game since launch, something that has become rare. If you're looking for a title with a large cast, a deep combat system, and decent support for both single-player and online play, KOF XIV is worth your attention.
