The roughly six-hour-long campaign of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is a commendably well-written and audiovisually stunning work, but its gameplay leaves something to be desired. While I am a fan of story-driven and more compact experiences, I would've liked to give Senua a bit more room to explore the harsh and unadorned, yet oh-so-beautiful Iceland. Maybe I’m alone in my opinion — who knows — but the lack of freedom inevitably affects the final score.

Princess Peach's latest adventure is a charming experience that is well-suited for the youngest members of the family, but it can be a bit boring to more experienced players. Nevertheless, the humour and different scenarios are something that can entertain adults as well.

Sand Land is a traditional action-adventure made better by the iconic style and wit of Akira Toriyama. It's also a sorrowful farewell to the maestro who helped revolutionize how the West viewed anime. We're lucky his final outing is this much fun and provides a fitting conclusion to his career.

Stellar Blade is exactly what it says on the tin. It isn't big, original, or even novel, and the experience turns tedious well before the 20-hour campaign draws to a close. The aggressive fanservice is equally dour and does nothing to hide the lazy shortcuts the narrative takes.

Hi-Fi Rush is exemplary in terms of accessibility. Simply an ultra-polished, ultra-stylish brawler fest that had me hooked from the very first moments all the way through the credits—and even beyond. Normally, I don’t bother with post-game content, but the sheer quality of the experience was enough to make me dive right into testing new modes and hunting down missed treasures. So, if you’re into action games and happen to have 30 euros burning a hole in your pocket, I can’t think of a better way to spend them than this. Slightly clunky platforming is a minor flaw in an otherwise brilliant package.

Mixing Wallace & Gromit with Terry Gilliam, the delightful Harold Halibut has charm and artistry to spare. It's just a shame the gameplay gets in the way of a good thing, and often left me wondering whether this would have been better as an animated special instead.

In the era of difficult and challenging games, it's sometimes great to experience something serenely beautiful as a counterbalance. Botany Manor grows flowers with a puzzle-like approach, and it does not offer anything very surprising, but it does everything it promises with admirable professionalism.

Two years after its console debut, Forbidden West arrives on the PC with a respectable and often breathtakingly gorgeous port. The game still struggles with its linear story spread over a massive open world, but Aloy's post-apocalyptic adventure is still a wild and intoxicating vision worth experiencing.

Despite some flaws, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Rise of the Ronin. It’s an excellent action RPG, especially for fans of the Nioh series and Wo Long, and it avoids the content bloat that plagues many other open-world titles. The main story can be completed in around 20 hours, but overall, there’s easily four to five times the amount of content to explore. Additionally, it serves as a great entry point for those who have wanted to try a Team Ninja game without immediately throwing their controller towards the wall. Personally, I can’t think of a better starting point!

Previously released on Steam Early Access, The Outlast Trials offers exactly what you can expect from the series. Sick, agonizing horror. This time the story has been left behind, but the gameplay and atmosphere make up for the lack of a script. With a group of friends, The Outlast Trials is guaranteed entertainment for a few weeks - and it also works alone, as long as you set yourself up correctly.

Dark Forces Remaster is a faithful revival of the classic Star Wars shooter, preserving both its strengths and its flaws. While smoother controls and minor graphical updates improve the experience, the game’s aged level design, limited saves, and simplistic AI remind players just how far shooters have come in 30 years.

Dragon's Dogma 2 does plenty of things right, especially when it lets players immerse themselves in the superlative open world. But the stupid save mechanics and numerous performance issues eat away at that enjoyment to the point the gameplay feels like a chore. It's still fun, but it could be so much more.

Tomb Raider I-III remasters the wonderful original games very faithfully, which is a good thing. There really isn't a need for completely new versions, since even these modern controls are too much for me. Slight facelift and bringing classic games to new platforms is just the correct approach – with Remastered collection, I love this game series even more than before.

Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story is an excellent time capsule of the early 1980s, a period when creativity thrived wildly — partly due to hardware limitations — and video game development was still in its infancy. The documentary does a great job of shedding light on the life and mindset of the eccentric yet endearing Minter, who has become a true cult figure. At the same time, it serves as an inspiring example of how far passion and belief in one’s vision can take you.

Turn based team tactics is not a too common game type, and Classified: France '44 is a surprisingly delightful addition to the genre. It also does, what history inspired games do at their best: it sparks interest in a less known story from the war.

Skull and Bones may not be, in Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot’s words, a “quadruple-A” title, but in its current state, it’s still better than its reputation suggests. It’s an enjoyable pirate adventure, especially when played with a friend. Its arcade-style ship controls, gear customization, and straightforward naval combat feel satisfying, while the relatively low learning curve makes it easy for less experienced players to jump in. And yes, I know I’m in the minority here, but I personally find solo ship control more enjoyable than the chaotic crew-based gameplay of Sea of Thieves.

Ufouria: The Saga 2 is charming, cheerful, and relaxing platformer that treads familiar paths from the main menu to the credits. Its moderate difficulty makes it suitable for younger players as well. It doesn’t require long-term dedication, as you can complete the game with leisurely exploration in about 3–4 hours. For my taste, the adventure was even a bit too laid-back, as despite its retro vibes and old-school charm, death didn’t claim me very often during the journey.

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley respects the source material wonderfully, but as a video game it has to remember the limits set by the age limit. Now the end result offers admirable things to do with both in mind, but I would still really like a versatile adventure designed for an older target audience, where the game mechanics and puzzles would not have been chewed open already.

Hexarchy blends 4X strategy and deck-building into a fast-paced, highly addictive experience with hour-long sessions where every move matters. While the game’s tight pacing and streamlined tech tree set it apart, early-game randomness can sometimes feel unfair.

Despite the long development work, the studio should have trimmed the length of the story a bit and invested in polishing. If everything isn't right under the hood, it doesn't matter how great the story, style or game design is. Airhead entertains, but also frustrates at the same time - and that's never a good thing.
