Gimmick! 2 is an awesome sequel to it’s NES predecessor, that has great controls, nice but fair challenge and music from the maestro David Wise himself.

Visions of Mana might be strictly for the fans, but it has elements that should endear it to general audiences as well. It's not the first game I'd recommend for fans of the genre, but it has enough magic to impress more than once during its epic quest.

Frostpunk 2 expands the original survival city-builder to a larger scale by introducing a deeper political system and sector-based city expansion. The game retains its intense resource management and chilling atmosphere, but now decision-making focuses more on broader strategic choices rather than micromanagement.

Enotria comes with superb art direction and an imaginative world to explore, but it's riddled with game-breaking bugs and frustrating design choices. It's a start, but not yet something you should spend hard-earned free time on. Not yet, at least.

This remaster of Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse is just as great and crazy as two last seasons. Neat puzzles, dry and well written humour and quirky characters: We can only hope that these guys come back someday.

You can feel the 20 years of progress that gaming has made in every fiber of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, but most of the time, you won't care one bit. As far as pure zombie-killing-mayhem is concerned, Capcom's delirious gorefest is still a blast.

Set in the Wild West, Arco offers really challenging but entertaining action. Your own choices alter the story impressively, although in the end revenge is at the center of everything. The charming pixel graphics combined with the truly versatile content guarantees an original title that you will enjoy playing for a long time.

There's pretty much nothing wrong with Astro Bot. Sure, its story is a rather shallow excuse to bounce from one place to another, but the lack of a script is compensated by the fun and crazy surprises. Team Asobi's creation is a versatile, beautiful and, above all, a great platformer for all ages.

Concord is a baseline game that does nothing poorly, but it doesn't stand out in any area, either. In theory, it should have found at least some kind of audience, but it didn't. After two weeks online, the servers are dead, even though the game itself is just fine. I have a bad feeling about this.

Nobody Wants to Die probably won't stick in anyone's memory for too long, but considering its price of just over twenty bucks, it can't really be called a bad purchase. If you're looking for a slightly smaller-scale experience between all the massive quadruple-A releases, this five-hour noir rollercoaster could be a solid alternative.

Dustborn starts as a promising narrative road trip but gets muddled by unnecessary genre-mixing. While the world-building and character interactions shine, the blend of rhythm gameplay, arcade combat, and story elements weakens the overall experience.

Small nitpicks aside, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble is way better than the previous Monkey Ball game and more importantly: great fun! The single player campaign might be the best in the series, while the multiplayer is lacking a bit with fun modes and lower frame.

Kingdom Hearts is one of the most formidable multiverse stories in gaming history, and this extensive remaster package presents one of the best deals around. Not all of the games have aged gracefully, but the best ones have stood the test of time. They're classics for a reason.

Flintlock might be overtly familiar, but it's also an honest God of War clone with imagination and ideas to spare. For the price, it's a welcome addition to the genre, one that should tide you over until the next big thing comes along.

The art design and style are top notch, so it's a shame the rest of the content can't live up to them. Cartoonish Schim is by no means a bad game, but its gameplay and offerings do not support the genius concept.

Ubisoft has received a lot of criticism over the years for various reasons, but Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition is almost perfect restoration of the 2004 classic: the studio has clearly invested a great deal of time, effort, and love to this project. An experience that attempts to reconcile a thematically challenging narrative framework with air hockey mini-games and Jamaican rhinos – surely no one can deny that such a game has its place in today’s gaming lineup?

The Final Shape has several staggeringly annoying design choices and raid encounters, and solo adventurers rarely feel welcome. But it's also full of welcome fanservice, tender goodbyes, and a sense of scale this long story has seen before. If it's a farewell, it's well worth it.

Indika tells an arresting story about humanity and the influence of religion on a sensitive individual. Nothing in life is black and white, and fortunately many things have changed in the world of the 21st century. Still, several of the game's themes are still relevant. It's a shame that a few sections break the arc of the otherwise intact story and take away the best edge from the thought-provoking title.

Despite some nitpicks, the System Shock remake is absolutely stunning, and makes this 30-year-old sci-fi classic feel fresh once again. There’s something mysteriously captivating about exploring Citadel, despite its oppressive and unique atmosphere that it’s quite difficult to put into words. Nevertheless, this remake is great for newcomers like myself, but also fans of the original.

Eiyuden Chronicles is the spiritual successor to the Suikoden series, and a heartbreaking farewell to Yoshitaka Murayama, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year. As such, it's a bittersweet experience: one that thrills and excites, only to remind us that we'll never see something like it again.
