LEGO Batman: The Dark Knight’s Legacy is, without a shadow of a doubt, the finest brick-based incarnation of the Caped Crusader ever created. Traveller’s Tales has delivered an adventure brimming with personality, which celebrates decades of the character’s history through a reimagining that is both entertaining and, above all, faithful to the original material. However, those hoping to find the same depth and level of challenge as in the Arkham series may be disappointed.

Tides of Tomorrow has proven to be an undeniably enjoyable experience, and we certainly can’t say otherwise, with a deep and thought-provoking story supported by truly well-written characters that keep the emotional engagement high from start to finish. At the same time, however, it’s hard to ignore how the game never quite manages to go the extra mile: the ambitious mechanic tied to following other players’ choices is, in fact, underutilized and, at various points, even narratively inconsistent, while the gameplay remains extremely simple and far from the revolution promised at its announcement. It remains, however, a title we would recommend to fans of the studio’s productions and to those seeking an interactive and engaging narrative experience that is unpretentious.

Tomodachi Life: A Dream Life is a small miracle that fulfills the hopes of all of us fans who have been clamoring for the series’ return for far too many years. And finally, what once seemed like an impossible dream has come true, giving rise to a lighthearted, crazy, and utterly irresistible experience. The game manages to preserve the chaotic and unpredictable spirit that made the 3DS installment iconic, enriching it with a level of customization never seen before. At the same time, there are some questionable choices and notable omissions that prevent the title from fully achieving the status of a perfect sequel, making it, in fact, a game that is already extraordinarily fun but still has plenty of room for growth, especially in light of possible future updates.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is undoubtedly the definitive version of three games that, for far too long, have been unfairly overlooked by the fanbase. This collection finally restores the series to the place of esteem it deserves, thanks to a compilation crafted with evident passion and a great deal of care. We were truly amazed by Capcom’s excellent work, which not only succeeded in the far-from-simple task of adapting and modernizing titles originally released on the Nintendo DS, but also enriched the experience with a significant amount of content, improvements, and customization options that make this edition well worth it even for those who already know the games inside out.

It’s not so easy to give this expansion a definitive verdict. On the one hand, we have to admit that the quality of the new content is undoubtedly excellent, further enriching what remains one of the best 2D platformers ever made; on the other hand, it’s impossible not to think that it could have been handled and integrated much better. Everyone to Bellabel Park remains, however, a highly recommended addition for anyone who loved Super Mario Bros. Wonder: it isn’t the definitive expansion it could have been, but it’s still a return to the Flower Kingdom that’s absolutely worth experiencing.

Super Meat Boy 3D is the exact opposite of the unsuccessful experiment that was Super Meat Boy Forever. On the contrary, this new installment truly succeeds in bringing the series back into the spotlight without compromising its identity, emerging not only as a worthy sequel to the original but also as a solid 3D platformer that works perfectly even outside its traditional audience.

Tales of Berseria returns with a remastered version that, in many ways, feels more like a port than a true polish. Despite this, the numerous quality-of-life improvements still manage to make the experience smoother and more accessible, making this edition the ideal choice for those who have never had the chance to experience the original story. Although the update is fairly minimalist, the game retains a charm all its own that’s hard to resist.

To answer the questions we posed in the introduction: no, Yakuza Kiwami 3 is not a good remake. The removal of a significant portion of the original’s content creates a void that the new additions fail to fill, while certain stylistic choices and various minor shortcomings prevent this version from establishing itself as the definitive replacement for the 2009 game or its most recent remaster. At the same time, it would be unfair to dismiss the title as a failure, as taken on its own it remains a genuinely enjoyable experience, capable of preserving the spirit of the series and backed by writing that had already won over many fans in the past.

My Hero Academia: All’s Justice is anything but a perfect product. It’s not without its issues, it isn’t always flawlessly balanced, and for that very reason, it might not appeal to those who aren’t particularly fond of Kōhei Horikoshi’s original manga or who aren’t familiar with 3D fighting games. Yet, what was said in the introduction remains true: we are looking at a project created with passion, a game made by fans for fans, and despite its flaws, none of the issues encountered truly manage to compromise the overall experience of a title that knows its audience perfectly and knows how to win them over.

Metroid Prime 4 is an interesting experiment born with the clear objective of bringing the saga to a wider audience through a mix of new ideas that, depending on the case, either hit the mark perfectly or fail miserably, resulting in an extremely solid title that risks alienating its historic fanbase. That said, the game should be judged for what it is, not for what someone would have liked it to be. What we have here is a chapter that, while not the ideal sequel to Metroid Prime that many were expecting, proves to be an excellent overall experience with cinematic overtones, supported by a surprisingly successful cast and gameplay that continues to work great.

Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion sets out as an ambitious project, but in trying to distance itself from its roots to win over a broader audience, it loses much of the identity that once made it stand out. Its variety of content can’t disguise a certain superficiality, while many of the promised improvements feel only half-realized, leaving the game struggling to make a mark either narratively or technically.

"Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + The Astral Path reaffirms itself as one of the finest titles ever to grace the Nintendo Switch, now reborn in full glory with vastly enhanced visuals, silky-smooth performance, and a wealth of fresh content: from new levels and abilities to extra collectibles and even an expanded soundtrack. In many ways, it marks a new beginning for Kirby, a heartfelt homage to the past and, at the same time, a bold promise for the future.

Static Dread: The Lighthouse proved to be a refreshing break from the usual parade of cinematic AAA releases, offering a more contained yet no less gripping adventure. It draws players in with a mysterious world steeped in evocative Lovecraftian atmosphere, and a narrative that urges you to explore, to uncover and above all.. to doubt.

"Mario Party Jamboree is still a must-have for anyone who wants to liven up game nights with family or friends online. The new modes are a blast and cleverly tap into the console’s features, but their limited variety means they start to feel repetitive over time. On the technical side, the game finally boasts visuals that do justice to the hardware, though unfortunately that polish doesn’t carry over to the core content.

Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is a re-release that could have limited itself to offering technical and QoL improvements and would have done a far better job, but unfortunately it overreaches with around 25 minutes of new content. It quickly becomes evident that these additions can’t match the brilliance of the original, and in some cases even undermine key moments, particularly for newcomers experiencing the game for the first time.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom remains every bit the masterpiece it proved to be at launch, an audacious evolution built on the foundations of a game that redefined the open-world genre, and one that dares to push even further, delivering an experience so ambitious and visionary that few ever thought it could be realized.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time represents an excellent revival for a series that only few expected to see again, but which absolutely deserves to be discovered by more players who will finally be able to get to know and learn to love this world just like many of us did with the original title. The amount of content and the variety of gameplay offered is nothing short of exorbitant, but the general impression is that Level-5 has opted for an approach based on quantity over quality, giving the idea of a diluted experience where everything is well done but nothing excels and is limited to giving a constant more of the same. We would have appreciated a greater focus on what already are the strong points of the title, such as the introduction of new lives or greater depth in the activities already implemented. However, despite some questionable choices and technical problems that still have to be solved, Fantasy Life i confirms itself as an unmissable title for all lovers of cozy RPGs characterized by a slow pace as well as a great emphasis on farming and building a base.

Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S confirms itself as a solid experience, capable of entertaining both Puyo Puyo and Tetris fans thanks to a wide variety of game modes. However, the new content of this re-release for Nintendo Switch 2 is too scarce to convince those who have already played any of the previous chapters, especially the second, to repurchase the title. The Adventure mode is neglectable, while additions such as the duo mode and the gameshare represent interesting but not revolutionary ideas. That said, if you are new to the series, this version is without a doubt the most complete currently available on the market, ready to give you many hours of pure fun.
