Hyper Light Drifter is the Indie game that we needed this year after a good amount of just plain old disappointing entries in the Indie scene. It's not perfect, but you WILL remember it if you play it, and if you can get past the difficulty, it'll be one of the most enjoyable experiences you play all year.

Cute, cubic, and challenging!
Dead Rising 4 is a good game. It's not great, and it's not bad—it's just good. Killing zombies is fun, the story isn't bad, and Frank is fun to play as with his sense of humor and "smart-ass but slightly aging journalist" schtick. It's just a bit too easy to really suck you into the gameplay, and the multiplayer is forgettable at best. You'll either love it for Frank's character and killing zombies with new toys, or you'll hate it for getting rid of your favorite features. Either way, it's an important entry in the series for Capcom Vancouver to learn what works and what doesn't.

A decent game that could be great if they ironed out the bugs and added a couple extra modes to keep things fresh longer.

Slain: Back From Hell was a good attempt to bring back some classic gaming magic, but unfortunately just couldn't quite grasp everything that made those games great. Might be worth a look at 5 bucks or under, or if you really have a hard-on for Castlevania-esque games.
Normally I hold some pretty good praise for indie games, because for the most part, they tend to think outside the box, but this... oi vey. Getting a little tired of the onslaught of meh indie games that get pooped out week after week. Indie doesn't mean it has to be lazy, it means you've got all the freedom in the world to make a kickass game. Also, spellchecking the text in your game or getting a good translator would help. A lot.
